Politico, NBC, ABC, MSNBC Criticize Team Obama's 'Absurd' Big Bird Ad

| At the same time Team Obama released a childish ad hitting Mitt Romney for daring to consider removing multimillionaire, one-percenter Big Bird from the federal government welfare rolls, the Romney campaign released a devastating graphic that shows that since his debate debacle, Barack Obama has mention Big Bird and Elmo 13 times but has not mentioned Libya or his plan to fix the economy even once. A media that is obviously disappointed with Their Precious One's debate performance and recent collapse in the polls, is not at all happy with this silly and stupid Big Bird attack.
|
Comments: Charles Krauthammer said tonight on Fox that the ad was so horrible and pathetic that he hoped the 0bama regime ran it every day until November 6. Can't say that I disagree.

A Saudi man was arrested at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after federal agents said he lied about why he was traveling with a pressure cooker, but his nephew said Monday that it was all a misunderstanding about a device he simply wanted for cooking. Two pressure cookers were used in last month´s Boston Marathon bombings. Hussain Al Khawahir was being held in Detroit on allegations of lying to Customs and Border Protection agents and of using a passport with a missing page. He was arrested Saturday. His nephew, Nasser Almarzooq, told The Associated Press that he

Press secretary Jay Carney acknowledged Monday that the White House was informed in April that the Treasury Department´s Inspector General was investigating the IRS´s Cincinnati field office, which is accused of targeting conservative political groups for extra scrutiny. "My understanding is that the White House Counsel’s Office was alerted in the week of April 22 of this year, only about the fact that the IG was finishing a review about matters involving the office in Cincinnati," Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One. "But that’s all they were informed as a normal sort of heads up.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday said the Senate would act if a report suggests more investigation is needed of the Internal Revenue Service targeting conservative groups for scrutiny. “These allegations of course are very troubling,” Reid said on the Senate floor Monday. “As soon as we have the inspector general´s report, the Senate will swiftly take appropriate action." Reid said that targeting groups for political reasons was “terrible" and a "breach of the public´s trust." The IRS admitted last week that it was targeting conservative groups with the words "Tea Party" and "patriot" in

At least two congressional committees plan to hold hearings on the U.S. Internal Revenue Service’s admission that it targeted for special attention groups promoting limited government. The momentum for review by the House panels increased with disclosures over the weekend that a Treasury Department inspector general’s report found that top IRS officials knew of the targeting of the groups as early as June 2011, nine months before the agency’s head told lawmakers that it wasn’t occurring. The extra IRS scrutiny was given to organizations seeking tax exempt status if they had “tea party” or “patriot” in their name.

Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs stopped by Megyn Kelly‘s show on Monday afternoon to offer his reaction to President Obama‘s press conference — during which he responded to the IRS scandal involving the agency’s targeting politically conservative groups. Dobbs didn’t take well to Obama’s reaction and went after him for flat-out lying. “What is outrageous is that the president of the United States this morning stands before the American people and lies through his teeth,” Dobbs charged. “That is what is outrageous.” Kelly followed up, asking how exactly Obama was lying. Dobbs took issue with Obama’s

During his radio show on Monday afternoon, Geraldo Rivera tore into his Fox News colleague Eric Bolling for what he believed to be “slanderous” remarks about whether the post-Benghazi investigations would be different had the presidential daughters been the ones killed in the siege. During last Thursday’s edition of The Five, Bolling suggested the media would be asking different questions if it had been Sasha or Malia Obama who died in the Benghazi attacks. Liberal blogs proceeded to attack the Fox host for invoking the presidential daughters while excoriating the press and the Democrats for not being

A verdict has been reached in the capital murder trial against former Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell. The jury of seven women and five men weighed more than 250 charges against the Gosnell with the most serious being four counts of first-degree murder. Earlier in the day, the jury told the court they were deadlocked on two counts. It is currently unclear on which charges the jury was deadlocked. The group told the court it had reached a consensus on all other counts. Around 10:00 a.m. Monday, the jury passed a note to Common Pleas Judge

JUDY WOODRUFF: Let´s talk about Benghazi. Very much in the news the last few days, Michael. This is, of course, the outpost in Libya. It was overrun. The U.S. ambassador was killed along with three others. New information today about the State Department changing the so-called talking points that were going to be given to administration officials. What -- where is all this headed now? MICHAEL GERSON: Well, it´s worth pointing out, at the outset, that, even at the worst, this is not Watergate. What we´re talking about is a cover-up -- if there is a cover-up --

Kurt Schlichter notes that conservatives have been vindicated quite often in the past several weeks: I suspect that list will grow longer. The common thread in each of these scandals is corruption and a willingness to abuse the expanded powers of big government--while failing to carry out the most basic responsibilities of any government. In Benghazi, Obama a) failed to take action to save American diplomats in danger, then b) lied about it, with the enthusiastic help of mainstream media journalists (some of whom now want to blame Mitt Romney). In Pigford, Obama pushed for additional billions

Speaking to reporters at a joint press conference Monday, President Obama said if the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS is true, it is "contrary to our traditions" and that "people have to be held accountable." Obama said he would not comment on specific findings by the IRS inspector general about specific targeting. "If in fact IRS personnel engaged in the practices being reported on then...that´s outrageous," President Obama said. "I’ve got no patience with it, I’ve got no tolerance on it." The IRS apologized for inappropriately targeting groups with the words

America could be on the cusp of a great victory--a victory for accountability and truth. The Benghazi debacle is, at last, breaking into the public consciousness. Indeed, in its outlines, finally visible as the coverup unravels, Benghazi is starting to look like a scandal, bringing up memories of an earlier scandal, Watergate. Yet the Republicans could still blow it, not only for themselves, but much more importantly, for the country. They could blow it, that is, if they make the terrible mistake of turning an honest and necessary inquiry about the events of

Senator John McCain, who famously defended his then presidential opponent Barack Obama against an islamaphobic supporter during a 2008 campaign rally, defended President Obama once again on ABC’s This Week Sunday, cautioning his Republicans colleagues to cool it with talk of impeaching the President over the Benghazi attacks and its aftermath. In response to Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) invoking the “I word,” McCain called for caution: “With all due respect, I think this is a serious issue,” McCain told guest host Martha Raddatz. “I will even give the president the benefit of the doubt

BBC has apologized for its coverage of the Benghazi murders; ABC has unraveled the mendacious tale of the talking points ´ genesis and the Congressional hearings this week have dramatically established the administration´s elaborate lies about how our ambassador and his brave defenders were murdered and its failure to protect them. Maybe now the press will feel it´s okay to get off their duffs and report how a thoroughly incompetent administration, motivated solely by self-interest, left our ambassador and others to be murdered and then lied about it with consequences to us all.

Call it “Oval Office Couch Syndrome.” By the second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing. But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights — Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him.

The average American secondary student has an 11% chance of being suspended in a single school year, according to the study from the University of California Los Angeles Civil Rights project. However, if that student is black, the odds of suspension jump to 24%.

At various points over the past two years, Internal Revenue Service officials singled out for scrutiny not only groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their name but also nonprofit groups that criticized the government and sought to educate Americans about the U.S. Constitution, according to documents in an audit conducted by the agency’s inspector general. The documents, obtained by The Washington Post from a congressional aide with knowledge of the findings, show that the IRS field office in charge of evaluating applications for tax-exempt status decided to focus on groups making statements that “criticize

Politics! Politics! They’re playing politics in Washington! Pretending to be modern Paul Reveres, Democrats and their media handmaidens are doing their damnedest to diminish the Benghazi revelations with the cheapest trick in town. While there is always pungent hypocrisy when one gang of politicians accuses another gang of playing politics, the current phony outrage from the Obama Protection Society is exceptionally putrid. After all, the whole saga of Benghazi — before, during and after the terror attack — reflects nothing so much as the ultimate expression of Barack Obama’s politics.

Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, is on the list of potential Democratic presidential candidates compiled by the extraordinarily astute Prez16.com . As a cabinet secretary (and as a potential, if dark horse, presidential nominee) Madame Secretary should refrain from slurring the Drudge Report, as recently she did, a slur Drudge, confidently, featured. Drudge is no fan of Napolitano. He regularly tweaks her as “Big Sis” (presumably an allusion to George Orwell’s “Big Brother”). Drudge is one of the most powerful — and widely respected — forces in the news business today.

An inspector general’s report due for release this week says senior Internal Revenue Service officials knew that agents were targeting conservative groups for special scrutiny as early as 2011, nine months before the IRS commissioner assured Congress the targeting was not happening. The report is certain to raise questions about the timing of the IRS’s disclosure of the targeting on Friday, how high up were the officials who knew about the practice, and whether anyone outside the agency was aware of it. Details of the inspector general’s audit, obtained by The Washington Post from a congressional aide

This love is terrifying. Thousands of American teen girls are crushing on Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19 — and leading a social-media movement to exonerate him. The swooning teens will not accept allegations that the college kid — whom they refer to by his nickname, “Jahar” — and his brother, Tamerlan, 26, killed three and maimed hundreds by setting off bombs at the April 15 race. While some scrawl the hashtag “#FreeJahar” on their hands with markers, an 18-year-old in Topeka, Kan., is going to the extreme — she wants Dzhokhar’s words inked on her arm forever.
