David Brooks predicts
‘a big Draft Hillary
movement’ for 2016

Daily Caller, by Jeff Poor

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/9/2012 11:12:56 AM

Regardless of whether President Barack Obama wins in November, The New York Times’ David Brooks says he expects a serious “Draft Hillary” movement in 2016. Appearing on Alec Baldwin’s WNYC “Here’s The Thing” podcast, where just last month George Will said that Hillary Clinton’s political career is all but over, Brooks pointed to what he called the Democrats’ “reasonably weak bench” as one reason to not count out the Secretary the State’s future White House chances. “First of all, I think the Democrats have a reasonably weak bench for 2016

Comments:
Ha ha ha...Brooks said Hillary would have done a better job than 0bama because she has a better personality. . . .funny stuff. The DemcRAT bench is empty except for the fat loud-mouth chick with the hygiene issues. My prediction: Romney wins in 2012 and if Hillary runs in '16 she will be the female Bob Dole.

I did not read the article. Did Brooks mention that Hillary is the most humiliated woman in the world?

Did he mention that there are reports out this morning from a new book that further humiliation is in the offing in the form of a divorce request from the "Horn Dog" back in 1990?

Did Brooks mention that the second most humiliated woman in the world, Humma Weiner, works for Hillary?

Just wondering if David did his work thoroughly.

The democrats could forgive her incompetence if she were not so old and ugly-looking.

I am not mocking her. She does not have to be ugly. She runs around with straggly hair and no makeup. If you are in a senior government position, you have to try to look your best at all times. If you don't care about yourself, you give off the vibe that you don't care about much else.

This is not sexist. Guys are judged harshly as well. Think of all of the people who say that Chris Christie is off-putting because he does not take care of his body.

David Brooks is "stuck on stupid" in his thinking - always looking at the past, no fresh ideas, unable to visualize anything new. Ambitious DemocRATS will not stand aside for Hillary. Andrew Cuomo has been working on his resume for 20 years now. He'll soon find a way to marry that live-in blonde. Watch for the book, maybe something published with his father. Chuck Schumer loves a camera enough to run. But his wife makes Hillary look like a movie star, so she may drag (no pun intended) down his chances. What about Susan Rice? If she is a lesbian, that would be the perfect Dem candidate, covering all the bases: Black, female, gay.

By 2016 Hillary should just be getting out of jail for her role in Libya.

According to HillBuzz Conservative Politics, the entire attack was a plan by Obama to look tough on foreign policy. He was going to organize a possible "hostage" release using "The Blind Sheik " as a bargaining chip. Things blew up in his face when the "hostages" were killed instead.

Her looks do matter - either she looks like she just rolled out of bed or her make-up is spackled on making her look clownish. Four years from now I doubt it will have gotten better.

Dems don't nominate losers. Only Reps do that. Reps usually run the guy who's turn it is, the guy that last the time before but came in second--McCain, Romney, Dole... Dems always want someone new. Hillary will be very old, tired news in 2016. If they didn't want her in 2008, they won't in 2016.

So what if they have a weak bench. Dems usually put up someone you didn't expect a few years earlier. Who in 2004 thought Obama would be the guy 4 years later?

But if she has to speak without a teleprompter, everyone is quickly going to remember that the only reason she ever got elected to anything is because she was Slick Willie's wife.

Besides, I am pretty sure that Andrew Cuomo is not going to stand by and watch his chance dissapear for ''the good of the party''...

Her Heinous wouldn't be any improvement over Mr. Potato Head. Both are inveterate Alinskyites, committed leftists without the least understanding of economic or strategic matters. Instead of healthy blood, a substance like subversion flows in their veins.

You should read Christopher Hitchens's No One Left to Lie To, especially the chapter entitled "The Shadow of the Con Man (Rodham's Last Hurrah.)" I'll let Hitch speak for himself.

"Mrs. Clinton has the most unappetizing combination of qualities to be met in many days' march: she is a tyrant and a bully when she can dare to be, and an ingratiating populist when that will serve. She will sometimes appear in the guise of a "strong woman" and sometimes in the softer garb of a winsome and vulnerable female. She is entirely un-self-critical and quite devoid of reflective capacity, and has never found that any of her numerous misfortunes or embarrassments are her own fault, because the fault invariably lies with others. And, spesking of where things lie, she can in a close contest keep up with her husband for mendacity. Like him, she is not just a liar but a lie; a phoney construct of shreds and patches and hysterical self-pitying, demagogic improvisations."

Quite so.

Barack Obama got quite the handful on Thursday, April 10, but it was all for a good cause! Barack quickly stepped in and grabbed the First Lady´s billowing skirt to help her avoid a wardrobe malfunction and embarrassing Marilyn Monroe moment. An autopsy on Peaches Geldof was inconclusive and toxicology tests will be conducted in an attempt to determine what killed the 25-year-old celebrity, police said Wednesday. Geldof was pronounced dead by paramedics at her home in southeast England on Monday. Kent Police said a post-mortem examination had not revealed the cause and a toxicology report could take several weeks. Geldof, the daughter of Irish musician Bob Geldof and the late TV presenter Paula Yates, had worked as a model, writer and television show host. She grew up in the glare of Britain´s press, which reveled in the late-night antics of her teenage years, and

The President is no economic illiterate, despite what conservatives think. He understands basic macroeconomics just fine, thank you – but with a twist. Mainstream Democrats worship at the altar of the New Deal. It’s an article of faith that massive government spending pulled America out of the Great Depression. (With all respect to Paul Krugman, the truth is more complicated, but that’s not within the scope of this article.)The president’s view of spending, deficits and debt is not merely Keynesian theory run amok. Its origins and objectives are far more terrifying. Where the traditional Democratic playbook for economic downturns was provided

WASHINGTON — About the only thing former President Ronald Reagan doesn´t have named after him is a mountain, not one recognized by the federal government anyway.(snip)Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., said he thought DeFazio´s amendment was "terrific" but wanted to take it a step further and name the planet after Reagan. "We may want to consider going big with this Reagan-naming enthusiasm," Huffman said. "I´m beginning to see some possibilities in this." Huffman said his reasoning was that if the planet were named after Reagan, then Republicans might be more concerned with taking up legislation dealing with global warming.

A majority of Americans believe that President Barack Obama’s signature health care law will be repealed. A new Rasmussen Reports poll found that 62 percent of likely voters believe that Republicans will repeal Obamacare, which recently marked its fourth anniversary. Only 23 percent of those polled believe that the health care law has been a success, compared to 46 percent who describe the law as a failure. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, offered a Republican alternative to Obama’s health care overhaul last week, saying states should play a greater role in containing health care costs while

A hereditary peer has questioned whether flatulence caused by the country’s high consumption of baked beans is adding to global warming. Viscount Simon, 73, a Labour peer who has been a member of the House of Lords for more than 20 years, raised concerns about the “smelly emissions”. His comments came as energy minister Baroness Verma answered questions in the Upper House on how the Government was tackling climate change.(snip)Lady Verma described his question as “so different”. But she added: “You do actually raise a very important point, which is we do need to moderate our behaviour.”

Protesters with The New Black Panther Party and the family of Alfred Wright held a demonstration in Jasper Monday. The gathering, called "National Rally for Justice for Alfred Wright" was held at the Texas Rangers office in Jasper on Highway 190 West. The rally was the second held since Wright disappeared November 7, 2013. Participants in the protest demanded entry into the Department of Public Safety building. They said they wanted to see Ranger Danny Young whose involvement in the investigation has been under question by the Wright family. Trooper Young was not at the building. Troopers stood side-by-side to keep the protesters

2014 is an election year. We know this because, once again, the Democrats are out in force with voices raised, full of outrage, trying to convince women that new laws are needed to ensure that they receive equal pay for equal work.(snip)What if one employee has more education? What if that employee has been with the company longer or has more experience? These are questions that courts have been mediating since 1963 as companies have faced lawsuits over gender discrimination with regard to wages. Why 1963? Because that is when the Equal Pay Act was signed into law by President John F.

Watching a congressional hearing usually amounts to the civic duty equivalent of eating your vegetables, but one House hearing today dished out some drama (if not comedy) for dessert. After getting grilled at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, Attorney General Eric Holder wished one of his outspoken critics “good luck with your asparagus.”(snip)In asking Holder today about the Justice Department’s refusal to turn over documents in an unrelated terrorism case, Gohmert again raised the issue of contempt, saying, “I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight.” A visibly

Secretary of State John Kerry angrily defended the Obama administration’s record on international diplomacy from Senator Jim Risch, after the Idaho Republican claimed that America’s foreign policy “is spinning out of control.” Kerry came before a Senate committee Tuesday, explaining to interested lawmakers that Russia remained an aggressive force in eastern Ukraine and that increased sanctions against Vladimir Putin’s regime seems more likely. “I do not envy the position you’re in here today,” Risch began after Kerry had outlined significant challenges in eastern Europe and elsewhere. “After the discussion we’ve had here today, I think anybody who would come in here would

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
