Obama Campaign Lashes
Out With 'Big Bird' Attack

Breitbart's Big Government, by John Nolte

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 10/9/2012 9:11:16 AM

It's as though Barack Obama didn't diminish himself enough during his debate with Mitt Romney and decided diminishing himself was actually a good tactic. And so, in the immediate aftermath of the debate debacle, instead of showing some dignity as other presidents before him have after a loss, Team Obama started a nanny-nanny-boo-boo name-calling campaign. In ads and in interviews and presidential speeches, Romney's been called everything from a "liar," to a "flip-flopper." Obama isn't just a sore loser, he's a petulant, dishonest, crybaby, narcissist loser. Believe it or not,

The Obama Campaign lies. What Romney said was that we should not be borrowing from China to underwrite Big Bird. That's very different from the way they're spinning it.

The subtext on this one is too obvious to ignore...
With his finger rubbing his temple, Obama's been publicly giving opponents the bird since at least his 2008 campaign debates with Hillary. I think it's a passive aggressive thing with this most bizarre of characters. But now, for his rude [to him] nemesis Romney, he's ratcheted up this message to the big bird.

A typical straw man argument from the Left: The Sesame St. budget is infused with only 2% of federal money. A joke that this is being pressed in ads They truly are targeting their ads to MORON voters. There money is wasted....all of the MORON voters are already on their side; they won't find any undecideds in that category. Where they get that Gov. Romney wants to close down Sesame Street can only be characterized as desperation. The Titanic that IS the Obama Campaign keeps hitting iceberg after iceberg.

PBS cuts it's great BBC shows short to beg for more bucks from people who already give to them through subsides, just like Planned Parenthood and ACORN, without even knowing it. Until Romney brought it up, how many tax payers knew that Big Bird was subsidized by them? I think it was brilliant to bring up the fact that something as Big Bird is too big to fail!

The FBI released photos and a brief videotape Thursday of two men it described as “Suspect No. 1 and Suspect No. 2” in the bombing Monday at the Boston Marathon that killed three and injured nearly 180, and appealed to the public to help identify them. The men, walking single file on Boylston Street toward the marathon’s finish line, were seen in photos and a 30-second video carrying black backpacks as they walked briskly along the marathon route. Both wore dark jackets. One wore a white baseball cap, turned backward, and the other wore a black one.

BOSTON — The FBI released video and photos on Thursday of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings who were seen carrying backpacks and walking casually among spectators shortly before the blasts. The Senate’s effective rejection of President Barack Obama’s post-Newtown gun control bill robs the Democratic Party of an important tool for trying to regain a majority in the House in November 2014. “Are they serious?” a visibly angry Obama demanded of opponents of the Toomey/Manchin Senate bill. In a late-afternoon announcement outside the White House, the president added that if Congress continues not to pass a gun control bill, “the answer will have to come from the voters.” But without a Senate bill, there’s little chance

President Obama’s ambitious effort to overhaul the nation’s gun laws in response to December’s school massacre in Connecticut suffered a resounding defeat Wednesday, when every major proposal he championed fell apart on the Senate floor. The national drive for laws that might prevent another mass shooting unraveled

Yesterday, the most modest of gun control proposals died in the Senate. It would have expanded background checks to people purchasing weapons at gun shows and online sales, enjoyed 90 per cent support among the public and came on the back of the tragedy at Newtown. Yet, despite all that it had going for it, the Toomey-Manchin bill raised just 54 votes--six short of the number necessary for passage. “This is a pretty shameful day for Washington,” said Obama afterwards. It wasn’t exactly a red letter day for him, either. Why did the no-brainer bill fail? Four reasons:

Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

While the media are bearing the brunt of public skepticism over the handling of the Boston bombing, the behavior of government is also eroding public trust. Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom. Andrew McCarthy of PJM notes that "Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday´s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon," and that part of it is the natural outgrowth of the desire of investigators to keep the details of their investigations secret, so as not to alert suspects.

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.
