Believe it when I see it. Of course, I bet the phone lines from the WH to Calif are smoking hot: "Drop the price for 2 weeks" and the taxpayers will slip you the difference.

For years Greens have clamored for European-style gasoline prices. They should now be partying on the beaches of Malibu with neighbor and hero Al Gore because their wishes are close to being fulfilled.

Heard yesterday, via the Roger Hedgecock radio show, that we pay, are you ready for this, somewhere between $0.56 to $0.70 per gallon in taxes! That means between federal, state, and local we pay almost 25% of the cost of a gallon of gas, not on the fuel, but to subsidize the governments!

So, Jerry-boy is going to release the supply to bring down the cost--in essence, that means he's been artificially pumping up the price by keeping the supply low! Stations in CA were running out of gas last weekend. Our Costco was selling premium at the lower octane price because the ran out of regular!

If we had drilled 30 years ago when the arguments went out that it would take too long, we'd be more than flush by now! And fraking, the Keystone Pipeline and drilling for natural gas are easy things to implement!

2. gasoline taxes go to public transport instead of new roads.

Paid 4.75 this morning only got half a tank (9 gals) hoping for a change by next week. The price went up from under $4.00 to $4.75 in 3 days not a month. Many stations are well over $5, mostly the indy's. Brands are around $4.72 which is the average. Has not gone down any yet. These prices may have little effect on me but for most its going to make them think again about voting for a Democrat. This is why Gov Moonbeam had to do something. Of course what he did is prove that it is the state government that is the cause of this problem.

They are set to drop because governor moonbeam authorized the early release of the cheaper to refine winter gasoline blend, just in time for gas prices to drop right before the election, so 0bama can say we are heading in the right direction.
