California gasoline prices set
to drop from record highs

Reuters, by Braden Reddall and Erwin Seba

Original Article

Average California retail gasoline prices have scaled yet another record high, an auto organization said on Monday, while analysts said wholesale markets signaled consumers may see a dramatic drop in pump prices within a week. (Snip) But wholesale gasoline in the Los Angeles spot market fell 60 cents a gallon on Monday,(Snip) "Retail prices will come down as hard as they went up," said David Hackett, president of Stillwater Associates, an energy consultancy in Irvine, California. "It went up 56 cents in a week, it will come down that fast."

Comments:
Jerry Brown will take the credit for the change to winter gas, but he was seriously pushed to do something with an official filing by an independent dealers' association.

I hope you Calif posters tell us what is really happening.

I want to see what the price is at the station that was charging $6.00.

Believe it when I see it. Of course, I bet the phone lines from the WH to Calif are smoking hot: "Drop the price for 2 weeks" and the taxpayers will slip you the difference.

Filled up here in the Atlanta suburbs yesterday at $3.48

Maybe if they just made the rich pay their fair share (you know, charge the rich twice the quoted price so the not rich can pay less) then all will be alright.

This is just an exposure of the damage Moonbeam and the Democrats are wreaking on California with their green obsession.
California's unique blend of green gas has created this debacle.

Obama with his Keystone knife in the back is doing the same thing to our national energy industry.

For years Greens have clamored for European-style gasoline prices. They should now be partying on the beaches of Malibu with neighbor and hero Al Gore because their wishes are close to being fulfilled.

Live in San Diego area. Price is about $4.69 on the average right now--about a $0.69 rise in the past month or so.

Heard yesterday, via the Roger Hedgecock radio show, that we pay, are you ready for this, somewhere between $0.56 to $0.70 per gallon in taxes! That means between federal, state, and local we pay almost 25% of the cost of a gallon of gas, not on the fuel, but to subsidize the governments!

So, Jerry-boy is going to release the supply to bring down the cost--in essence, that means he's been artificially pumping up the price by keeping the supply low! Stations in CA were running out of gas last weekend. Our Costco was selling premium at the lower octane price because the ran out of regular!

If we had drilled 30 years ago when the arguments went out that it would take too long, we'd be more than flush by now! And fraking, the Keystone Pipeline and drilling for natural gas are easy things to implement!

"Senator Dianne Feinstein... pointed out that California commuters already pay the highest gasoline prices in the country, while also going through the longest commutes."

Government caused problems.
1. special fuel blends are more expensive.
2. gasoline taxes go to public transport instead of new roads.

Liberals know what havoc their policies cause. They just don't care.

Paid 4.75 this morning only got half a tank (9 gals) hoping for a change by next week. The price went up from under $4.00 to $4.75 in 3 days not a month. Many stations are well over $5, mostly the indy's. Brands are around $4.72 which is the average. Has not gone down any yet. These prices may have little effect on me but for most its going to make them think again about voting for a Democrat. This is why Gov Moonbeam had to do something. Of course what he did is prove that it is the state government that is the cause of this problem.

They are set to drop because governor moonbeam authorized the early release of the cheaper to refine winter gasoline blend, just in time for gas prices to drop right before the election, so 0bama can say we are heading in the right direction.

TAMPA, FL - Only three demonstrators showed up at a Justice for Trayvon Martin rally organized by the New Black Panther party near a Tampa courthouse Monday. The representatives with the New Black Panthers told us they scheduled a gathering in front of the George Edgecomb Courthouse on Twiggs Street to bring attention to the broken judicial system and to demand justice for Trayvon Martin. The activists said they felt the trial was about more than a neighborhood watch volunteer and an unarmed teenager. It was a tragic narrative on racial equality under the law, they mentioned.

The Justice Department was running into immediate hurdles Monday in its investigation of possible civil rights violations by George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin -- namely, that after examining the case for more than a year, the evidence has not changed. Though the department announced after Zimmerman´s acquittal that it would consider a possible federal case, previously filed FBI documents show agents have not turned up any accounts that Zimmerman, before the February 2012 shooting, exhibited racial bias. Sanford police detective Chris Serino also told FBI agents last year that he considered Zimmerman

This week, instead of attacking a Hispanic senator, Marco Rubio, I will defend a Hispanic citizen, George Zimmerman, on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin. All the eyewitness accounts, testimony, ballistics and forensics keep backing up Zimmerman. We should send a big, fat bill for the whole thing to Sharpton, courtesy of MSNBC. With the prosecution’s witnesses making the defense’s case, the inquisitors’ last stand is to claim that, if the races were reversed,

The complaints swirling around Jacksonville’s chief medical examiner range from poor leadership to unusual practices, such as washing her feet in the autopsy sink and touching cadavers with her bare hands. Valerie Rao’s performance has come under heightened city scrutiny, leading the Mayor’s Office to request a state investigation in March. The state declined, so the city has continued exploring other solutions, including privatization of the Medical Examiner’s Office. Rao’s work in other cities has been criticized for at least a decade.

Ending a war is a good thing. Killing civilians a bad thing. Deliberately targeting civilians is murder, and is never morally licit, even in pursuit of a good thing such as ending a war. The tens of thousands of Japanese non-combatants we killed 68 years ago this week with two nuclear bombs were not “collateral damage” of military strikes. They were the intended targets. We hoped that mass murder would bring the Japanese emperor to surrender. It worked, and American and Japanese soldiers’ lives were probably saved by it —
