'Saudi weapons' seen at
Syria rebel base

BBC News, by Staff

BBC News has uncovered evidence that weapons intended for the Saudi military have been diverted to Syrian rebels. Three crates from an arms manufacturer - addressed to Saudi Arabia - have been seen in a base being used by rebel fighters in the city of Aleppo. How the small crates reached Aleppo is unknown, and the BBC was not allowed to film their contents. Saudi Arabia has refused to comment on the matter. Meanwhile, a big blast has been heard in a suburb of the capital, Damascus. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based activist group, said

If you think Saudi arms inadvertantly ended up in Syrian rebels' bases, then I've got a bridge to sell. Ever since the murder of Ali, Muhammad's son-in-law, the two religious factions, Sunnis and Shiites have been at each other's throats. The Saudis, as the putative leader of Sunnidom, have been eagerly waiting to amputate one more vassal nation from the Iranian Shiite sphere of influence. The majority Sunni Syrians have been dominated by the Alawite Shiite minority for the past 40 years and have been chafing under this regime. The Saudis are only too eager to see the predominantly Sunni Free Syrian Army destroy Assad's army.

As long as Muslims confine their killing to one another, let them go at it. At the end of the day they are all still Muslims and want infidels and Jews dead.

If Tiger Woods feels in need of understanding company as his Masters bid erupts into controversy, then he will surely find it in new girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn. The 28-year-old blonde has supported him throughout the tournament and is a supreme athlete in her own right. She is the greatest female downhill skier of her generation and has been credited with making Woods happy again after the collapse of his marriage to Elin Nordegren. ‘We’d known their secret for some time on the ski circuit,’ said Chemmy Alcott, Britain’s most successful woman skier and a long-time friend of Vonn.

Los Angeles—Lil Wayne, Ron Howard, Scarlett Johansson and Kim Kardashian are all on the same page when it comes to criminal justice reform. They´re among more than 100 entertainers calling on the president to focus on changing drug laws. Rap mogul Russell Simmons helped assemble the coalition of celebrities and civil rights leaders that presented a letter to President Barack Obama on Tuesday. The group praises the president´s efforts toward drug incarceration reform but insists "the time is right" to move toward replacing jail sentences with intervention and rehabilitation for non-violent offenders. President Barack Obama is bringing 11 relatives of those killed in the shooting at Connecticut´s Sandy Hook Elementary School to Washington on Air Force One on Monday so they can personally encourage senators to back gun legislation that faces tough opposition. A nonprofit organization that works with the families, Sandy Hook Promise, said that after Obama´s speech on gun control in Hartford, he is flying with relatives of seven children and one staffer killed during December´s massacre at the school. Williamson, W.Va.- The man suspected of killing a West Virginia sheriff as he ate lunch in his car was mentally disturbed and had no particular vendetta with law enforcement, his father told The Associated Press on Thursday. Melvin Maynard said his 37-year-old son, Tennis Melvin Maynard, was exposed to harmful chemicals and injured while working at an Alabama coal mine. He most likely did not target Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum, he said. "He would have probably shot anybody, the first one he come to, you know what I´m saying?" the elder Maynard said. "I know he was off."

The Dow Jones and Standard & Poor’s 500 indexes reached record highs on Thursday, having completely erased the losses since the stock market’s last peak, in 2007. But instead of cheering, we should be very afraid. Over the last 13 years, the stock market has twice crashed and touched off a recession: American households lost $5 trillion in the 2000 dot-com bust and more than $7 trillion in the 2007 housing crash. Sooner or later — within a few years, I predict — this latest Wall Street bubble, inflated by an egregious flood of phony money from the Federal

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.
