In 2008 I brought in a spokeswoman for Obama to my high school government class and she passed out voter registration forms. I could not get a rep from the Genesee County (MI) GOP to send anyone. Same story this year. It is a democrat county around Flint, but the GOP does nothing to offset the vote, which is a big mistake. The western side of the state should take over our party over here.

In the past three weeks on three occasions I've seen organizing for america workers engaged in "voter registration." I asked who sent them. All three refused to disclose at first ---"oh no one we are just helping with voter registration." In each case I pryed and got them to grudgingly admit, "organizing for America." Apparently these shills are coached to be evasive.

According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out. The Illinois Republican party claims early and absentee voting has precipitously fallen since the 2008 presidential election. According to the numbers, at this point in 2008, there were 260,376 early voters and 304,290 absentee voters. Now, the party maintains, there are 195,064 early voters and 46,232 absentee voters. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce.
