NEW YORK— “Good Morning America” weather anchor Sam Champion is tying the knot. ABC News says Mr. Champion and his boyfriend, Rubem Robierb, are engaged to be married later this year. Mr. Champion tweeted on Friday he’s “never been happier” to share a bit of personal news. ABC says Mr. Champion and Mr. Robierb met through mutual friends in Miami, where Mr. Robierb lives. Mr. Champion joined ABC News in 2006. Before that, he spent 18 years at New York City television station WABC.

This "news" is part of the normalizing of same-sex "marriage" in our culture.

Do I really care if two guys what to be together? No. But I do care when, under the force of law, the rest of us have to support those relationships either by providing venues or clergy for their weddings or by deeming contrary opinions as hate speech.

media is disportionately tilted, based on race and sexual preference, and in my opinion, this variance is caused by P C, which should NOT be a consideration. Each position should be filled by the best suited person. That also pertains to the Presidency of the U>S>

Thank you #30!!!! It disgusts me too. Conservatives are supposed to judge individuals on their own merit--not groups. So what if they are gay? If they truly love each other, I am happy for them. They are simply cementing their relationship. Bigotry is so stupid and all it does is reflect on those who are bigoted--not on those who are being negatively judged. People do not choose their orientation. If you think they do, then I ask you...when did YOU choose to be attracted to the opposite sex? Why did you choose it? Most people I know who are gay would have chosen to be straight if they could have made that choice. Nobody wants to be treated the way some of you treat them. It really is sad that so many people, whom I would otherwise highly respect, could be so close-minded and negative. BTW,there is nothing "illegitimate" about being homosexual. It naturally occurs in all species to some extent.

ALBANY — New York, whose status as the most populous state has long been ceded, will soon fall behind Florida into fourth place, a long-anticipated drop that is rife with symbolism and that could carry potentially serious economic consequences in coming years. When the Census Bureau releases its latest population estimates on Monday, demographers expect that Florida and New York will be narrowly separated — perhaps by as little as a few thousand people — and that if Florida does not pass New York this time, it almost certainly will do so in 2014. The census figures underscore immigration trends, as foreign-born migrants continue to

The Oscar-winning film director Charles Ferguson has cancelled his CNN documentary on Hillary Clinton after what he described as a private campaign against the film by prominent Democrats. Ferguson said he had decided to pull the plug after being met with a wall of silence from more than a hundred people who refused to be interviewed for the documentary. He claimed that aides to the former secretary of state put pressure on CNN behind the scenes, and made clear that Clinton would only co-operate "over my dead body". When Ted Sarandos put out the word that Netflix would begin producing original shows, he was swamped with story pitches that everyone else in Hollywood clearly had taken a pass on — including some scripts marked with coffee stains, smudged fingerprints and other telltale signs of rejection.
