| Venezuela's socialist President Hugo Chavez won re-election in on Sunday, quashing the opposition's best bet at unseating him in 14 years and cementing himself as a dominant figure in modern Latin American history. The 58-year-old Chavez took 54.42 percent of the vote, with 90 percent of the ballots counted, to 44.97 percent for young opposition candidate Henrique Capriles, official results showed. Another reason the founders in their wisdom put the electoral college in place. Remove it at your peril. Every state counts its own votes. They can cheat to high-heaven in their libtard controlled states - but they can only get that states electoral votes - not the whole enchilada as Hugo did.

*HUGE sigh* I've been following Venezuela'z descent since Chavez took office. It is precariously similar to what we are experiencing with Obama. I was so hoping for a landslide win for Capriles.
I'll try to hang on to what #11 said about the electoral college...don't mean to be a downer, but I don't think that'll stop Obama. He's set fire to everything else in the Constitution.
I don't think his debate performance was anything other than a man who doesn't care about winning an election. He knows...just as his good buddy Hugo did...that the deck is stacked to keep him in office.
There will have to be an awful lot of Americans with an awful lot of crowbars to get Hugo's BFF out of the White House next month.

Chavez's victory only reminds us in the US that our democracy is fragile and we are living on borrowed time if we don't stop this madness. We still have a voice and we are not Venezuela (not yet) and our voices will be heard on November 6th.

Watertown, Mass.– A number of gun shots were fired near Franklin Street in Watertown Friday night and it was believed that suspect number 2 in the Boston Marathon bombings had been shot. FOX 25's Bob Ward reported that as many 30 shots were fired in the neighborhood. Ward reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man known as suspect 2, was shot by police. So once again, no good deed goes unpunished. Uncle Sam lets another bunch of leeching future terrorists into the country who have absolutely no business being here, gives them “asylum,” making them immediately eligible for welfare, and this is the thanks we get? We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate.
