Seriously? AP Suggests Rommey Needs
'Diplomacy 101' After Quip About Spain

TownHall, by Elisabeth Meinecke

Original Article

Posted By:nhchemist, 10/7/2012 8:06:39 PM

It's getting ridiculous. Apparently, Romney hurt Spain's feelings by suggesting the American economy might not want to end up like the one in Spain, and the AP then suggested Romney might take advantage of 'Diplomacy 101' should he become president. First, the AP account: WASHINGTON (AP) — If Mitt Romney becomes president, he might need a crash course in Diplomacy 101. (Snip) "I don't want to go down the path of Spain," Romney said Wednesday night during the first presidential debate.

Comments:
This week's BusinessWeek points out that Spain's economy is in worse shape than first thought. Unemployment is 24.6%, capital flight is increasing, and "All macroeconomic indicators are flashing red." Ending up like Spain is not an option. Spanish citizen friends have told us how bad it is.

I doubt Spain gives a rat's arse, it's just the complicit media looking for something, anything else to hang around Mitt's neck. And if they do care, big deal. They obviously need to get their house in order.

I guess the AP forgot about Kenya Boy: Sending Churchill's bust back, Israel to 1967 borders, snubbing Bibi to go on the View, Egypt not an ally, bowing to anyone in front of him, apologizing to anyone who will listen, wanting to apologize to Japan for atomic bombing(they told him not to), and the list goes on and on and on.

We don't need to go down the road of Europe, punishing those who actually create wealth and own businesses. Shame on all of the do-gooders who feel free to rob achievers to pay slackers. Romney does not need an education from the AP about business and economics. And since when is it the job of a news organization to scold someone in a "news" article? If they want to report the comment, fine. But the snarky Diplomacy 101 thing is not their job.

The American gun control movement is going corporate. Still reeling from the stinging legislative defeats of 2013, proponents of tougher firearm regulations are increasingly turning their focus to private sector campaigns. Gun control groups have claimed victories in recent months, successfully pushing Starbucks to declare guns unwelcome in stores and persuading Facebook to crack down on unregulated firearm solicitations. With no end in sight to the congressional gridlock that has thwarted more stringent federal gun laws, groups say they will continue to apply pressure on major companies.
