The rumble was bungled.A tech glitch derailed the wildly hyped online debate between Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly Saturday, triggering a mountain of mockery from frustrated fans. An untold number of viewers missed out on the event, which cost $4.95 and was billed as “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium.” (Snip) With the joke on them, the debate’s organizers posted an apology on Facebook, saying their servers were overloaded “due to overwhelming demand.”

Neither of these persons appeal to me. Bill O'Reilly is one person on Fox I avoid. To me he is way overrated and a legend in his own mind. Shep Smith is another I would never watch.
Jon Stewart, who is he? /s

Would O'Reilly let Stewart get a word in edgewise? Not that I care an iota, they're both far too deeply in love with themselves to watch and listen to.

Reply 12 - Posted by: Belle, 10/7/2012 8:14:13 AM     (No. 8915470)

O'Reilly's show reaches lots of independents. Its entertaining and I see things I missed while at work. I love to see John Stossel, Dennis Miller, Greg Gutfield and Jessie Watters. Just fast forward through the "blowhard" stuff. He raises alot of money for charity so I admire that. Did anyone see this event?

Using a disease do beat on your opponent is a stupid thing to do and would get a conservative in trouble. However, if Stewart wants to play that game then he is Ulcerative colitis...lots of bloody diarrhea from his mouth that stinks.

#14--And the military were promised that at the end of WW II. Not so. My uncle, a VFW from the second World War needed to be hospitalized the last three years of his life.

He spent those last years of his life in a Vets' Home to the tune of $6-8,000 PER MONTH out of his hard earned bank account.

We never did tell Uncle that his bank account was being used. Ironically, he died at age 98, just as the account approached ZERO.

Thank you, Mr. Clinton! Now I and my family feel we have done our share to "share the wealth"!

I used to watch O'Reilly, but his obnoxious, arrogant and self centered behavior finally became too much. I don't know why he has any guests on his show. It seems like he would prefer to interview himself.

We always record O'Reilly so we can fast forward through his four-paragraph loaded questions. He is the worst interviewer on FOX. He doesn't realize that if somebody comes on and spouts insanity we will know it, but he doesn't trust our judgement. He should spend some time watching old William F. Buckley shows.

We do like Miller, Stossel, Gutfeld, Watters and Goldberg. There's a 'Five' I would pay to watch.

You would have to PAY ME A LOT to make me watch Stewart.

Pay $4.95 to watch two of the biggest blowhards bloviate? I think not.

U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice told Republican senators that her televised statements last month on the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi were based entirely on information she was given by the intelligence community."In my Sept. 16 Sunday show appearances, I was asked to provide the administration's latest understanding of what happened in Benghazi," Rice wrote in a Thursday letter to Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC). "In answering, I relied solely and squarely on the information the intelligence community provided to me and other senior U.S. officials,

When Barack Obama was a student at Harvard Law School, he was never known as a particularly good debater. In class, if he thought that a fellow student had said something foolish, he showed no forensic bloodlust. He did not go out of his way to defeat someone in argument; instead he tried, always with a certain decorous courtesy, to try to persuade, to reframe his interlocutor’s view, to signal his understanding while disagreeing. Obama became president of the law review—the first African-American to do so

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
