entitled to success in this country'

The Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

"This country does not just succeed when just a few are doing well at the top," Obama said, according to a rush transcript of the remarks. "It succeeds when the middle class gets bigger. Our economy does not grow from the top-down, it grows from the middle-out. We do not believe that anybody is entitled to success in this country. But we do believe in opportunity...snip....That is what we have been fighting for the last four years.

Did the idiot really say that?

Yes, you are not entitled; but we want ALL to be successful. Its the Number 1 parental credo.

Guess his daughters are going to get their government issued food stamps, Obamaphone, block housing apartment, and a neighborhood rapist.

It seems that 0bama and Biden keep drinking truth serum in Virginia -- that's where they repeatedly accidentally expose their real thoughts. Roanoke: "You didn't build that!" Danville: "They're going to put you in chains!" Fairfax: "We don't believe anybody is entitled to success in this country!"

Who is "we"? Certainly not me.

It is only all the Afirm. Action blacks that believe that the are entitled and actually OWED success due to slavery, illiteracy, ebonics, drug addiction, welfare, poverty and the countless other reasons that they cannot advance from their plight without blaming whitey.

O and Mooch are exactly the same way and wear the hatred, disgust, cynicism, contempt, jealousy and condescension on their sleaves and smirks. O reeked of it in the debate and every time he steps up to the podium.

O believes that only he and his cronies should be "successful" by spending other peoples' money, taxing the affluent into extinction and slamming Bush and other Republicans. He and his lot are the most vile creatures and destroying our country.

We will not survive four more years of this fraud and liar.

What Obama is basically saying is that he decides who should be successful or not. It's not about what you know but who you know and how well connected or liked you are. Those who are liked by the administration deserve to be rewarded, those who aren't liked deserve to be impeded.

It really is a form of control and elitism, the two hallmarks of socialism.

This was just another straw man argument by Obama, as who ever said that anyone is currently "entitled" to anything in this country?

The only people in the country today who think they should be "entitled" are already in the Obama camp, and base their claimed "entitlements" on discredited and obsolete factors that passed into history long before the current modern age.

He just reads the speeches that his writers provide and delusionally thinks that no one realizes that what he states is the opposite of what his actions result in. We all know what his policies bring to our lives. Maybe he is simply lying or maybe he believes what he says.
Either way, he needs to see a psychiatrist and to take a long vacation from the office of the President, for the rest of his life. He should live in Hawaii and give speeches to the coconuts. That will make as much sense as what he does now.

Leftists are stupid and know NOTHING about economics, finance and history. The leftist politicians might, but they will lie because they don't want us to prosper. They want to centralize control, amass power and wealth and become dictators over everyone else at our expense and freedom. I guess for the ignorant "true believers", all those great capitalists of the 19th and 20th centuries who created unprecedented prosperity for all of America really didn't do anything at all. Those great men who created foundations and built libraries and hospitals with all that evil money they made...they should never have had the opportunity to do all the great things they did...not according to the lefties.

"Middle out ," eh? Well, since Obama has never been very good at Math, and I happen to be a mathematician, perhaps I can be of some assistance here.

Let's assume that he finally achieves his dream from his father and completely and evenly redistributes 100% of America's annual budget, thus leaving nothing for defense, social security, Medicare, or any government programs at all. Let's see exactly how "middle out" would work.

That would be about 3 trillion divided by 300,000,000 giving each and every one of us the magnificent sum of $10,000. Welcome to Marxist heaven where everyone is equally poor.

President Barack Obama will hold bilateral meetings with leaders in Senegal, South Africa, and Tanzania between June 26 and July 3, and the wife and kids are going along for the ride. The Obama family vacation will include air transportation for 56 vehicles, among them 14 parade limousines, trucks carrying bulletproof glass to install at hotels, and two ambulances: one for dealing with biological and chemical contaminants, one with x-ray equipment.

President Barack Obama hit back at critics calling him out for his "mom jeans. "I´ve been unfairly maligned about my jeans," Obama said Friday in an interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest. "The truth is, generally I look very sharp in jeans. There was one episode like four years ago in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitcher´s mound and I didn´t want to feel confined while I was pitching, and I think I´ve paid my penance for that. I got whacked pretty good. Since that time, my jeans fit very well."

Scientists who don´t believe in catastrophic man-made global warming should be put in prison, a US philosophy professor argues on a website funded by the UK government. Lawrence Torcello - assistant professor of philosophy at Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, writes in an essay at The Conversation that climate scientists who fail to communicate the correct message about "global warming" should face trial for "criminal negligence". (H/T Bishop Hill) The Conversation - no relation of Breitbart´s blogging chatroom - is a website promoting articles by academics and funded by nineteen of Britain´s leading universities, as well as several government agencies, including the

Last week, the U.S. Tenth Circuit decided a case that should reverberate on Capitol Hill. In Kerr v. Hickenlooper, five Colorado legislators sought “standing” to challenge a state constitutional amendment. The three-judge panel — consisting of Carter and Clinton appointees — ruled in favor of the legislators’ standing. This decision should embolden members of Congress who correctly believe that President Obama has encroached upon Congress’ constitutional authority. Indeed, Congress should do no less in defending its authority than the five Colorado state legislators. Many members of Congress believe that numerous presidential actions — delaying various provisions of the Affordable Care

In case you hadn’t heard, young people these days — a.k.a “the Millennials” — are the most cynical and distrusting generation ever recorded. Only 19 percent think most people can be trusted. According to a big study from the Pew Research Center, they are less attached to marriage, religion, and political institutions than Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, and the other demographic flavors journalists love to use. They like their friends, their digital “social networks,” and their toys, and that’s about it. Not even a majority will call themselves “patriotic.” Probably more dismaying for liberals: Of any living generation, they are

In an interview with Vocativ.com, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) expressed a desire for factions within the Republican Party to “agree to disagree” on hot-button social issues so that the GOP tent may expand to include more young people and alternative viewpoints. Asked whether the general consensus at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference was that the party must butt out of social issues, Paul replied: I think that the Republican Party, in order to get bigger, will have to agree to disagree on social issues. The Republican Party is not going to give up on having quite a few people

An interview yesterday offers proof that Sarah Palin has really gotten under Obama’s skin. In the midst of a friendly on-the-air radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, President Obama offered us a rare glimpse inside the presidential mind, revealing how deeply he was stung by the gibes he has received ever since wearing mom jeans when throwing out the first pitch at the 2009 All Star Game. In the midst of a discussion of his recent shopping trip to The Gap, the President stated: “I’ve been unfairly maligned about my jeans,” (snip) It is quite obvious that the reason the 2009 mockery
