The Comeback of ‘President Teleprompter’

| The euphoria of the clear Mitt Romney win over President Barack Hussein Obama at Wednesday’s first presidential debate requires a back-to-business blast of reality. Mitt won hands down and gave us the first positive sign that victory could be in sight. But getting there from here is going to be along a long, booby-trapped trail. Truth is that anyone with something substantial to say could have done the same thing Romney did to President Teleprompter,

I noticed that all of 0bama's day late and dollar short, witty comebacks the next day were all delivered with Secretary Teleprompter prominently present. I say "Secretary" because surely something so obviously necessary to the President of the United States deserves a cabinet post.

This reminds me of a chihuahua I used to have. He was ALL mouth when the adversary was OUTSIDE the front door. Face to face, he was not nearly as mouthy.

This was my conclusion on debate night as well. Romney clearly won the debate, but didn't change one voter's mind. As others have said recently, this country can survive Obama, but not the people that voted for him. Pray.

The difficulty Obama had was that he didn't dare speak from his heart because what is in his heart is unacceptable to most Americans and he knows it.
Romney did have the easier job. He could and did speak from the heart.

Anyone could have done the same thing? Obama rambled on and on bringing up several claims each time he spoke. Romney had to remember each and every one of Obama's points and refute them. It took a brilliant mind concentration and a great memory to do that. The author may flatter herself she could have done it but I have my doubts.
I know I sometimes lost track in the avalanche of disjoineted speech.

It is easy to speak from the heart. It is difficult to determine which of your memorized homilies (which you don't believe) is appropriate to answer the question that was asked. Zero drew several blanks.

After watching Obama busily scribbling during the debate, I'm imagining that somewhere deep in the bowels of the WH there's a mad scientist feverishly working on a tiny teleprompter that will fit on the end of a ball point pen.

The dirty little secret is that most professors cancel classes for the democratic candidate, and some allow extra credit for a 'written analysis' of the candidate's positions.

Obama and Romney have two more debates, look for Obama to somehow bail out of at least one of them, and then maybe send Bill Clinton to take his place in the remaining debate.

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to ship Obama's teleprompter all over the world and leave Air Force One in the hangar. Just be sure to send an empty suit along with the teleprompter.

In present-day America, we are being bombarded with increasingly dire headlines about the condition of our nation. Common elements among these headlines of domestic disorder and discontent are reports of unbridled government overreach into our lives, from much-publicized gun control laws, warrantless searches and seizures, to the perverse and absurdly shameful degradation of our human dignity at the hands of the TSA and the DHS. Today, we are facing an assault on our freedoms for which those who lived before us have shed their blood, entrusting us with the gift of an indivisible nation under God. Yes, under God.

Children have always been political pawns where overbearing leftwing regimes are concerned. Political Science professor and small-time MSNBC weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry is tripping down the primrose path as carved out by the trademark lean-on-the-kids Barack and Mrs. Obama. For almost five years Barack Obama has talked almost exclusively to university and school children. Imperious, duck-the-adults Obama has his very own Youth Corps. With zero experience and zero charisma, Michelle Obama has remained stubbornly on school children’s’ lunch plate.

In midst of the modern, mindless battle to drive religion completely from American life, a small and inconvenient fact has been ignored: Virtually every important, original American idea is a product of Christianity. Further, had these doctrines never been developed, the US would arguably not been nearly as productive, free or happy. These ideas involve property, liberty, and the rule of law.Today the government bears down upon the Constitution, menacing the Bill of Rights and our entire way of life, offering to trade our freedoms for the supposed security of state control. Our very life,

For the many whose complaints were marginalized when New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan invited President Barack Obama to the legendary Al Smith dinner two weeks before the November 6 election on the weak-kneed alibi that “he invited Mitch Romney too”: Cardinal Dolan gave abortion-loving Vice President Joe Biden Holy Communion and a gleeful shout-out from the altar of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City on Palm Sunday. Most shamefully and unabashedly, yes he did.Even as the faithful were honouring the beginning of Holy Week 2013 in the memory of Christ riding a donkey into Jerusalem,

If President Barack Obama is serious about pioneering a Congress-paid, $100-million mapping expedition into the human brain, he should seek the help of celebrated brilliant brain surgeon Dr. Ben Carson. But it’s far more likely that megalomanic Obama is only jumping onto the human brain study bandwagon because that’s where the increasingly popular Dr. Carson is. “Obama, who jokingly labeled himself “Scientist-in-Chief”, said the so-called BRAIN Initiative could create jobs and eventually lead to answers to ailments including Parkinson’s and autism and help reverse the effect of a stroke.

The new battle-cry to save a disappearing Republic should begin with the words: “Set our children free”. While the President Barack Obama-led Socialist regime in Washington calls the tune by keeping the bouncing ball over the concept of Government-Fighting-Patriots, the real battle is the one where it gets to take over your children. With all eyes trained expectantly on the latest Obama executive order; with the definition of one man, one woman marriage being rewritten by the Supreme Court, progressives in office have been working out the details to come up with a way to capture your children.

Former famed CIA director David Petraeus apologized last week for his blackmail-able extramarital affair with sycophant author Paula Broadwell that “caused such pain for [his] family, friends and supporters,” during an event honoring the military at the University of Southern California. While it must have been devastating for his wife Holly of 37 years to have to go to the family doctor to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases thanks to her husband’s infidelity and lies—something all spouses and partners need to do under such circumstances, that is between them. The truth is Petraeus is getting off easy.

It’s Good Friday and a government holiday in Ottawa. No point trying to reach Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty today. So rather than wait until Monday, Canada Free Press (CFP) is posing this cliff-hanger question: “Is that a Cyprus-style “Bail In” proposed in the newly-minted 2013 budget?” That’s what economic gunslingers on both sides of the border and dozens of letters to the editor are charging. What began as a rumble is growing into an ear-splitting cacophony—and the Canadian government should post a truthful, detailed and in-plain-English explanation on its website.

Larry Grathwohl is one of those increasingly rare individuals who has led a truly extraordinary life. However, after speaking with him I found that he is an unassuming and truly humble man who has a strong belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Snip) What was new 30 years ago was the violence and the determination of individuals such as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn who were part of the Weather Underground, with the sole purpose of destroying the United States of America, its Constitution and the liberties it provides us. Radio talk show giant Mark Levin may want to know now that President Barack Hussein Obama’s back from his Israel trip, his White House schedule remains totally empty for Holy Week and Passover. Obama’s usual sleep-late, no-meetings-until-lunch routine has been replaced with a blank itinerary. Ever since his first election, Obama’s most stinging insults to Judeo-Christian society have come during Easter and Passover.

Question for Glenn Beck: Is ‘That Guy’ who’s in Israel today with his own redesigned map of that beleaguered country truly a “fellow Christian”, as described by ‘The Bible’ mini-series co-producer Roma Downey now playing until Easter on the History Channel? Before the Twitter follow-up telling all to “relax”, because his Sunday night Twitter suggesting that Barack Obama looks an awful lot like actor Mehdi Ouzanni, who plays Satan in ‘ The Bible’, Beck, who’s been touting the mini-series as the most popular in television history, linked Obama and the series’ Satan as “exact” lookalikes.

In 2011, the journalist Mara Hvistendahl published Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men, detailing the societal effects of sex-selective abortions that target women the world over and resulted in the absence of perhaps more than 100 million girls who by now should have been born. But Hvistendahl soon learned the downside to uncovering what many believe to be a shocking trend in human rights offenses: people will want to do something about it. And so she lashed out, declaring that “anti-abortion activists

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), one of the architects of the Affordable Care Act, said on Tuesday that the healthcare law, set to go into full effect in less than eight months, is “probably the most complex piece of legislation ever passed by the United States Congress” and “is just beyond comprehension.” Rockefeller said he is concerned that early missteps with implementing the healthcare overhaul may cascade into confusion and chaos. The law, said Rockefeller, is “so complicated and if it isn’t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse.” Rockefeller’s consternation echoes comments made earlier this

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Of course, to describe newborn children in their boundless possibilities and wonder would be to acknowledge, foremost, their humanity. That is why, instead, abortion enthusiasts must grope for words

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

They say they were just doing what the boss trained them to do. But eight former employees of a run-down West Philadelphia abortion clinic now face prison time for the work they did for Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Three have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. And Gosnell, 72, is on trial in the deaths of a patient and seven babies allegedly born alive. In testimony at the capital murder trial this past month, an unlicensed doctor and untrained aides described long, chaotic days at the clinic. They said they performed grueling, often gruesome work for little more than minimum wage,

In the opening sequence Rod Serling informs us: "A monster had arrived in the village. Just by using his mind, he took away the automobiles, the electricity, the machines -- because they displeased him -- and he moved an entire community back into the dark ages -- just by using his mind. . . . and the people there have to smile. They have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because once displeased, the monster can wish them into a cornfield

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.

On Thursday, in the midst of ongoing national debate over prospective gun control and comprehensive immigration legislation, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said that he didn’t need the approval of a majority of his own party to move forward with legislation. Referring to the so-called Hastert Rule, named after former House Speaker Denny Hastert (R-IL), which dictated that House leadership not bring up any bill for a vote without the support of a majority of the majority party, Boehner said, “Listen: It was never a rule to begin with.” Then, realizing the gravity of admitting

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends. Winters was a pioneer of improvisational standup comedy, with an exceptional gift for mimicry, a grab bag of eccentric personalities and a bottomless reservoir of creative energy.

A few hours after Margaret Thatcher´s death on Monday, the snarling deadbeats of the British underclass were gleefully rampaging through the streets of Brixton in South London, scaling the marquee of the local fleapit and hanging a banner announcing, "THE B@&$! IS DEAD." Amazingly, they managed to spell all four words correctly. By Friday, "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead," from "The Wizard of Oz," was the No. 1 download at Amazon UK. Mrs. Thatcher would have enjoyed all this. Her former speechwriter John O´Sullivan recalls how, some years after leaving office, she
