President Barack Obama said in Wednesday night’s presidential debate that Social Security is “structurally sound,” but Social Security’s Board of Trustees said in their 2012 annual report that the program faced $8.6 trillion in “unfunded obligations”--meaning that it is currently obligated to pay out $8.6 trillion more in benefits than it is anticipated to bring in through taxes. During Wednesday debate, moderator Jim Lehrer asked Obama: “Do you see a major difference between the two of you on Social Security?” “I suspect that on Social Security we've got a somewhat similar position,” Obama responded. “Social Security

Obama on Social Security in 2012 is reminiscent of Bawney Fwank on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2008.

This is why many in the GOP were fighting 0bama's faux tax cuts. 0bama was looking for a way to cut taxes only for the low income people who typically don't pay income tax and his method was to cut the funding source for Social Security. So what 0bama and the dems actually did was shove SS closer to that fiscal cliff. Anyone who is counting on Social Security to pay for their retirement and is still voting democrat is committing economic suicide.

There is a new Obama IRS campaign to kill the conservative movement with proposed regulations and paperwork. You can do something about it. Judicial Watch recently launched a new web initiative to allow conservatives and conservative organizations to voice their objections to new Obama regulations that would prevent them from carrying out their core missions in the months leading up to federal, state, and local elections. Many organizations are taking actions--from Judicial Watch to, believe it or not, the ACLU--to stop this assault on free speech. The administration dismisses these new policies and procedures as mere “tweaking”

It has the makings of a royal mess for “King Barack.” Monday morning’s Supreme Court argument about the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases went badly for the Obama administration — so much so that the real question before the justices seemed to be how severe the EPA’s loss would be. The administration’s solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, pleaded with the justices to recognize the “urgent problem” of climate change, because the “threat to future generations gets worse” with each passing year.
