For all the protestations that Republicans are white supremacists launching wars against 3rd world people, I don't see any liberals organizing anti-war protests when Obama launched his anti-Ghadafi attacks without Congress' assent and now, for political benefit, he is trying to launch a military attack hastily in which innocent people would almost certainly be killed since there aren't any significant, reliable intelligence assets in Libya (otherwise Ambassador Stevens might not have died). What he is doing is putting the US in a position, in the first time in her history, of having enemies declare war on her based on justifiable cause.

Like I said in an earlier thread, you can have good (kill right guys) and cheap (less intel/military casualties) but not fast (pass Nov 6), good and fast but not cheap or fast and cheap but not good. The last option is being taken by a narcissistic Obama that recklessly expose the US to more danger.

The only people who could do it right at this time is possibly the Mossad because they've already got human intel assets in place & the professionalism to get it done right, but they are not about to squander their resources for one like the Won.

It's very possible Obama is negotiating with Ahmadinejad and cutting a deal: Iran will head-fake announce that it is going to agree to stop enriching uranium at Obama's request.

Obama will look like a hero and a foreign policy master. Iran crisis averted! Obama parts the seas.

It will all be a LIE, and both sides will know it... Iran will go right back to enrichment after the election is over, but by then the damage will be done.
It's a win-win for Iran and Obama. He gets to play hero just long enough to make a difference, and Iran buys a few more weeks of time and gets some more international talking points about how it is being cooperative and buys itself some more time. They are undergoing a currency revolt and this fake news will help them quell it.
Iran does not want a President Romney. They are highly motivated to cut this kind of deal with Obama.

It's a thoroughly despicable and treasonous scheme, which is exactly why I think Obama would be willing to do it.
