Hubris defines barack obama. He has been able to gain great positions without exerting any effort. And in the 2008 debates, moderators laid down for him. (SNL even made fun of the process.)

"Contempt" for Romney? How can that group of corrupt, immoral weasels have contempt for a decent man simply because he is running against their candidate. Dislike him maybe because he is trying to take their power away but contempt. If contempt is the case then they have woefully underestimated Mitt Romney and shown that they are completely unfit to run this country.

I am sure we can all remember that certain group in high school who had no accomplishments of their own but liked to sit around and mock those who actually had some achievements and had done something to brag about. Now we see that group has moved on and infests the White House and sits around and holds Romney up to ridicule. That way they do not have to acknowledge their own shortcomings.

PHOENIX -- Arizona authorities say a package addressed to Sheriff Joe Arpaio discovered in a northern Arizona mailbox would have exploded if opened, leading to serious injuries or death. Maricopa County Chief Deputy Jerry Sheridan made the comment Friday at a news conference in Phoenix. He said investigators are trying to locate one person who may have been involved in mailing the package addressed to his boss. The package intercepted late Thursday was addressed to Arpaio at his downtown Phoenix office. It had been left in a parcel locker that was part of a multiple address mailbox

About a decade ago, Glenn McGovern began studying targeted attacks on members of the criminal justice community, including judges, prosecutors and police officers. The former SWAT officer had joined the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in California as an investigator. He saw a need for improved training for the office’s protective unit, he said. “I started researching the kind of attacks so that I could understand them better and we could develop training in order to respond to this type of violence,” McGovern said this week. “And then I also do the threat and risk assessments.

French Chief Rabbi Gilles Bernheim handed in his resignation on Thursday after he admitted that he had committed plagiarism and claimed unearned academic titles, French newspaper Le Figaro reported. The board met in Paris to hear his decision, and lauded his decision as "courageous." Bernheim is usually introduced as an “agrégé,” a sort of “doctor,” a prestigious academic title obtained by civil servants in competitive tests. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends.
