Romney's strong debate
showing puts Europe on edge

Reuters, by Luke Baker

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/4/2012 8:10:22 AM

BRUSSELS - President Barack Obama's lacklustre performance in the first U.S. election debate provoked uneasiness in European capitals on Thursday, where hopes are mostly, if unofficially, pinned on his securing a second term.(snip)Political commentators in France and Germany registered surprise at Obama's underwhelming performance, saying the election could be much tighter as a result. "Obama showed a lack of desire to be president, which could put him on shaky ground as a presidential candidate," said liberal German news magazine Der Spiegel. "It's now clear that to get back into the White House the U.S. president needs running shoes, not flip-flops."

Comments:
Talk about a desperate reach for a story to help 0bama.
Yo Luke, the reason the Euros are so surprised at this is because they have been getting their news from Reuters and the rest of the 0bama sycophant U.S. MSM.

"Obama showed a lack of desire to be president" I wonder if he's concerned about making it through a 2nd term.

Europe is on edge because Romney knows how to and has fixed messes like Europe is in. I expect Romney would not go along with the failed policies the EU and Obama have been following, he would insist on real changes before he would consider any bailout likeat Obama just sends the EU for nothing in return.

That is understandable for 3 reasons.
1 If Romney is elected, they will not be able to point to a head of state even more incompetent than their own.
2 If 0bama loses, where are they going to find a replacement for that much comic relief?
3 They were getting used to receiving bows and gratuitous apologies from 0bama. It made them feel important.

The Europeans are expecting the US to pony ub hundreds of billions of dollars to shore up the world bank so it can buy worthless PIIGS junk paper and essentially bail Europe out.

Obama loves bailouts, Romney is somewhat less entusiastic.

The Europeans don't want a strong US economy that would buy their goods. They don't want a strong US military to protect them, as we have for 65 years. They don't even want a coherent US foreign policy that values our alliances with the UK, France, Germany and rest of region. According to Reuters, Europe prefers US economic malaise along with military and strategic disengagement from the continent. Reuters is as delusional as Obama.

No, Obama didn't show a lack of desire to BE President, he shows a lack of desire to have to WORK at getting re-elected. He thinks he should be acclaimed the winner and resents that he has to go through the dog-and-pony show of an election.

DAMASCUS: The “project of political Islam has failed,” Syria´s President Bashar al-Assad said on Monday, calling for the separation of religion from politics, state television said. Assad´s regime has been battling an uprising that has come to be dominated by Islamists, ranging from moderates to radicals, who want to see Syria run as an Islamic state. “The project of political Islam has failed, and there should be no mixing between political and religious work,” he said in comments on the 67th anniversary of the founding of his Baath party.
