The Celebrity Left’s
Obsession with Obscenity

Frontpage Magazine, by Mark Tapson

Original Article

Posted By:Judy W., 10/4/2012 5:37:00 AM

As the election draws near, President Obama’s celebrity supporters are stepping up their political presence in pop culture – and in the process, exposing their bizarre, immature predilection for spewing obscenities. Foul-mouthed purported comedienne Sarah Silverman, for example, recently fired off a controversial, unsurprisingly unfunny question to Republican candidate Mitt Romney on Twitter, in which she asked him, (Snip) Hilarious. And such a useful contribution to the political discussion in the most critical election of our time, if not in all of American history.

Comments:
I took out the quote. You'll have to click. It's repugnant, like all the quotes here, but useful to see what's going on out there in celebrity comedian land where I never venture.

the intellectual depth of most celebrities especially comedians cannot be measured because it is so thin. Vulgarity is their staple because it is all they have to offer.

Well remember a several year's ago appearance by Jackson (billed as THE highest paid Black actor) talking about his chef and his chauffeur.) He was rather charming but I was rather surprised that a) he was making that much $---and it just about rivals Romney, by the way and b) that he would brag about "the help".

As to Silverman, I like Jimmy Kimmel (who certainly is biased and pro Obama) but never understood his long "arrangement" with her------she is SO gross, not only as a hook re: her audience but she seems to be genuinely this way. As to this Jewish organization, I apologize and assure you that not all Jews are this dumb---though apparently the majority still are. I know enough of them who are sure Israel will always be o.k. and Obama is for it to know this for a fact.

Well, personally, I love swearing. Sorry. It's like sprinkling pepper on mashed potatoes. Like the flavor, and contrary to the cliche, don't think it indicates my vocabulary is particularly limited.

This isn't about ''swearing''. This is about a group of people who appeal to a like-minded demographic, all of whom are perpetual 6th-graders stuck in a state of arrested development - performers and audience alike
Or in respect to the constant deference to genitals (remember Whoopi Goldberg at the NYC gala in '04 and her ''bush'' monologue complete with masturbation moves? A giggling Kerry &his wife were seated in the front row), they behave more like toddlers who've discovered the fascination of what's in their diapers and cannot resist walking around with their hands down their pants.
Do they seriously still think this is ''taking it to the 'man''?
So daring. Are you impressed?

Also, I don't find Samuel L. Jackson's ad so much obscene in the standard definition as it is insulting - an attempt by a not very intelligent man to intellectually intimidate others to follow his orders.
No thanks.

A Maine man in search of a valuable mineral cut open a dead porcupine on the side of the road and unexpectedly pulled out its baby. Jared Buzzell, of Lisbon, says he was searching for wild mushrooms Thursday when he saw a porcupine get hit by a car in Minot. Buzzell says he´d heard that a valuable mineral deposit used in Chinese medicine formed in the stomachs of porcupines. He then cut open the dead porcupine to search for the mineral and instead found the baby. He tells WMTW-TV he cut the umbilical cord and thought the baby porcupine was dead until he started

Admiral Jeremiah Denton died yesterday at the age of 89. Admiral Denton served seven-and-a-half years as a prisoner of war in Hanoi during the Vietnam War. Denton’s name should be known by every American. In captivity he gave something beyond the last full measure of devotion, if that is possible. His is a story of almost unbelievable endurance, courage and patriotism. Here is a short course courtesy of the Denton Foundation that I saved a while back: In June 1965, he began a combat tour in Vietnam as prospective Commanding Officer of Attack Squadron Seventy-Five. On July 18, 1965, Denton was

Quick, did you see that? Senate Democrats just pulled another Washington wink-wink on Obamacare. For those who might need a refresher, the WWW is the old standby of professional Washington politicians from both parties when they need to look like they are doing something concrete when in fact they´re just blowing smoke. In the present case, Senators Mark Warner of Virginia, Mark Begich of Alaska, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Joe Manchin of West Virginia are offering a package of Obamacare “fixes.” Maine´s independent Sen. I have no objections to Jeb Bush running for president. He obviously has a wide appeal as a potential candidate. (Snip) His support of Common Core, however, will also find many who are in the conservative ranks objecting, since they fear that Common Core represents educational centralism and having the government ram federal standards down their throats. What I do object to is that Bush is already being heralded as the obvious candidate, the man to whom the big money must and will flow. A spectacular Roman Catholic church in Syracuse, NY is about to become the Mosque of Jesus, Son of Mary. Holy Trinity Church, established in 1891, is a stunning piece of Gothic-style architecture with glorious stained glass windows depicting the life of Christ. It was closed in 2010 when the Catholic diocese there blamed a declining number of priests and a population shift from the cities to the suburbs. St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church took over ownership of the building, and it was registered with the Syracuse Landmark Preservation Board. In 2012, St. John’s petitioned the preservation board to sell the

The Environmental Protection Agency says a rule it proposed this week merely clarifies its existing authority over the nation´s waterways. Republicans say it´s "the biggest land grab in the history of the world," as House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., called it. There is some certainty about the EPA´s rule defining the waters of the United States -- the buzz it has generated is not going away any time soon. If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control. Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.

They say it contains enzymes known as HMGF (hydroxy methyl glutaryl flavonones) which can attack proteins in the body known to cause heart disease. The study found bergamot could even be as effective as statins, used to control cholesterol but which can have side effects in
