Obama surrogates can’t
quite spin a win after
Denver presidential debate

Daily Caller [Washington DC], by Alexis Levinson

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 10/4/2012 5:10:09 AM

DENVER — Mitt Romney emerged as the decisive winner of the first presidential debate with President Barack Obama on Wednesday night, a reality even the president’s surrogates were unable to spin. No defining moments emerged from the debate, which lasted 90 minutes. The zingers from both sides were underwhelming. During the evening, the two candidates mainly wonked out and discussed their differences on everything from Medicare to taxes to deficit reduction. But style, more than substance, led to Romney’s clear advantage. The former Massachusetts governor was aggressive, and he made his arguments without any sign of hesitation.

Obama had 5 more minutes to speak in the debate than Romney did. He's also had 4 years in office. Neither one did him any good last night.

The lsm could not spin this for o. Romney gave a tour de force of his leadership, business expertise and good nature. For once, the lsm could not put Romney on the backburner or shill for o. Romney was the clear winner and the people saw it for themselves. No commentary needed.

Thanks poster 1. (Excuse second post.) According to Guy Benson:

UPDATE (first of many) - Final talk time: Obama 42:50, Romney 38:30.

I find it shocking that Obama had 4+ minutes. Honestly. I think it must be because he didn't really say anything, or perhaps it's because when he speaks, I feel my world slipping away and find I have to go to my happy place. Not sure, but I really am surprised by that. Romney just seemed so much more in control, I assumed he dominated in time as well as substance. Hmmm. Interesting.

Obama looked like a puppy dog next to Romney last night. He was unprepared but that was to be expected since Barack has spent most of his political life insulating himself from criticism. Everything about his life is control and there was no controlling the circumstances he found himself in last night. Those who seek to make excuses for the president`s performance last night got a glimpse of who the man really is. He`s an unconcerned unprepared nitwit living his life off cult of personality. No amount of future debate prep will help. Romney is prepared and will clean his clock in the next two debates also.

There were only 3 or 4 of Obama's ''spinners'' left in the hall after the debates, but I understand they dropped some serious coin at the local bars.

Noticed last night, right after their respective wives came onto the stage, that Obummer left immediately, while Romney stayed and waved, greeted more of his family, waved, smiled, and generally looked like a winner.

I notice most of Obama's spinners are PAID hacks.
Most of Romney's spinners are volunteers who serve (or used to serve) in high offices.

Vice President Biden exaggerates when he waxes nostalgic about the “good old days” — a time when “everybody, including the NRA, thought background checks made sense.” Biden’s office says he was referring to the NRA’s support for background checks in the early 1990s and its stated support for expanding background checks to include gun shows in 1999. But vice president’s sentimental journey rides roughshod over the facts: •In 1991, the NRA endorsed legislation creating a national system of “instant background checks” as an alternative to a seven-day waiting period contained in the proposed

President Obama will meet with Sens. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, on immigration reform Tuesday afternoon at the White House. The White House added the meeting to the president’s schedule hastily as the bipartisan group of senators known as the “Gang of Eight” delayed for a day a press conference about the introduction of their proposed immigration reform bill, largely due to the tragedy in Boston. On Monday, the White House said a plan by Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, that would allow illegal immigrants to become citizens after

In the immediate aftermath of the tragic Newtown murders, Obama and His Media joined forces to exploit the deaths of innocent children for all it was worth -- with a series of laws that would have done absolutely nothing to stop the very crime they were exploiting. This naked political move to leverage the murder of innocents as an excuse to attack the National Rifle Association and gun owners who live predominantly in red states, is about as cynical and craven as it gets. According to Politico, though, all this soul selling is likely to come to nothing.

Co-host Willie Geist: "Three in four Americans today thought our country was better off in the ´80s than it is now. Three in four. ... If a presidential election were held today, according to this survey, 58 percent would vote for Ronald Reagan over President Barack Obama." Weatherman Al Roker: "But the interesting thing is a lot of people probably -- I mean Ronald Reagan probably would be seen almost liberally today as opposed to being a conservative."

Martin Richard died after the first of two bombs hidden in trash cans were detonated within 12 seconds of each other during the Patriots´ Day bank holiday yesterday, sending terrified runners and spectators fleeing for their lives and leaving a scene of ´unspeakable horror´. PHILADELPHIA — Through four weeks, prosecutors have laid out evidence against Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortion provider on trial on charges of killing seven viable fetuses by “snipping” their necks with scissors and of causing the death of a pregnant 41-year-old woman during a procedure. The grisly details drew mainly local attention. But after an online furor that the case was being ignored by the national news media because of troubling accounts of late-term abortions, reporters from major newspapers and television networks descended Monday on the Court of Common Pleas.

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.
