| Tonight, President Obama and Mitt Romney go "mano a mano" in the first of their three debates. Fair or not, Romney is perceived as the underdog and some have argued that Romney must make his case in the first debate or it's all over. While I believe that Romney has three bites at the apple, it is incumbent upon him to rise to the occasion against the incumbent. So what must Romney do tonight and over the next several weeks to convince the American voter to unseat President Obama and elect him as the next President of the United States?

FTA "If Romney can stay on the offensive, keep Obama off his game (and maybe even make him lose his cool) while at the same time come off as a reasonable, viable alternative in October, then he has a fighting chance in November."
obama is by far the worst President ever, (certainly not Natural Born Citizen, and probably not even a U.S. Citizen), and Romney has a fighting chance?. This is a total disgrace. Where are you America? Wake up!

It's pretty amazing that Romney must win this debate or it's all over.This despite one abject failure after another by Obama the last 4 years.Even then it's a catch 22 if Romney wins because he's been too busy dealing with world affairs to prepare for the debate.
Zingers have actually helped people get elected before so Obama's henchmen have more or less tried to ban them from this debate.

This simply misunderstands the challenge Romney faces. Romney has been making all of these points for moths and the LSM spins them away and sneers at him. Romney's "47%" remark was correct. And the LSM hysterically declared it had "cost him the election". They scream that about a lot of things Romney has said. The list is too long too long to detail here.. Romney should just be himself and keep doing what's he's been doing. The polls, as of today, are in a dead heat, 47-47.

I fear that the mass of voters is at the tipping point in what they expect of government.
It seems that a majority might be voting based on how much "free stuff" the "government" gives out. Will Romney need to offer "free" I-pads to overcome the "free" cell phones that Obama is supplying to his voters?
