Rebuttal To Samuel L. Jackson’s
‘Wake The F**k Up’ Ad

Shortly after the release of that “quasi-ad” from the liberal super-PAC Jewish Council for Education & Research, featuring a creepy Samuel L. Jackson telling various members of a family to “wake the f**k up” and get energized to vote for President Obama again, libertarian outlet Reason TV has responded with a much more accurate telling of the story — telling the acclaimed actor that he is actually the one who needs to wake up. The JCER ad’s cutesy images of disenchanted Obama supporters in their quaint suburban home are subverted by images of drone flying overhead and bombs

Regrettably the Reason rebuttal is even rawer than the original video. No bleeping of profanity which reduces their work to the same low level as Jackson's. They should have done better.

On Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace grilled Obama senior advisor Dan Pfeiffer on the economy and Obamacare ahead of Tuesday night’s State of the Union address. “You talk about restoring opportunity: median household income is down, labor force participation is down, food stamps are up, poverty rate is up,” Wallace said. “If things are so great, how come they’re so lousy?” “We’ve made tremendous progress, but there’s much more work to do,” Pfeiffer said. “We have a series of proposals from last year, and additional ones this year. These are things that have been bipartisan in the past, raising

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on CBS Face the Nation on Sunday morning and was met with a barrage of questions from host Bob Schieffer about his involvement in the government shutdown. Apart from being the victim of Schieffer’s accusations that the Tea Party senator was to blame for the shutdown, it also appears that Mr. Cruz was the victim of editing by CBS. Based on video from Senator Cruz’s YouTube page and what aired on today’s Face the Nation broadcast, the senator’s comments surrounding President Obama’s “abuse of power” were edited from the program. Instead what aired was a segment that ignored many of the senator’s

Union Pacific crews will sever the Metrolink tracks shortly after midnight near the Fairplex Metrolink station and push the 600-ton locomotive on the main line, where it will be towed by modern diesel freight locomotives 56 miles to Colton as it is readied for its trip to Wyoming. Track crews will work under floodlights to restore the mainline to service before

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) suggested Sunday that the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal should give Americans pause when it comes to evaluating the Clinton legacy -- and, by extension, Hillary Rodham Clinton´s potential presidential campaign. Paul´s wife, Kelley, made similar remarks in a Vogue profile last year, and her husband agreed with her Sunday in an interview on NBC´s "Meet the Press." Rand Paul said the scandal is about more than just infidelity and lying to the American people, but also as "predatory behavior" from the former president. "One of the workplace laws and rules that I think are good is

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Sunday that Republicans should oppose raising the debt limit without including a measure to reduce the nation’s debt, setting up a likely fight with Democrats when Congress tackles the issue next month. “I think for the president to ask for a clean debt ceiling when we have a debt the size of our economy is irresponsible. So we ought to discuss adding something to his request to raise the debt ceiling that does something about the debt or produces at least something positive for our country,” he said on "Fox News Sunday."

The U.S. Postal Service will increase the cost of a stamp on Monday to 49 cents from the current 46 cents. The spike is a 6.5 percent jump, contrary to the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act, which states that stamp prices cannot increase faster than the rate of inflation, The Wall Street Journal reported. Mounting financial losses forced the USPS to ask regulators to authorize an increase greater than the rate of inflation, which the agency was granted. But regulators refused to make it permanent, a move that upset Postal Service officials, according to the paper.

After interviewing more than 46,000 adults nationwide over a seven-year period, the American Bible Society, in conjunction with Barna, ranks Chattanooga as the number one most Bible-minded city in the United States. Providence, Rhode Island, and New Bedford, Massachusetts, share the dubious distinction of being the least most-Bible minded cities in America.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas started a trend by making most of its high school students tackle algebra II. But eight years later, the state often watched for education policy is abandoning the requirement. The move is being praised by school districts for affording them more flexibility. But some policy experts are nervous because nearly 20 states have since followed Texas´ lead in requiring the advanced math course. Stephen Hawking has produced a "mind-bending" new theory that argues black holes do not actually exist - at least not in the way we currently perceive them. Instead, in his paper, Information Preservation and Weather Forecasting for Black Holes, Hawking proposes that black holes can exist without 'event horizons', the invisible cover believed to surround every black hole.During a previous lecture, 'Into the Black Hole', Hawkins described an event horizon as the boundary of a black hole, "where gravity is just strong enough to drag light back, and prevent it escaping".
“Falling through the event horizon, is a bit like going over Niagara Falls in a canoe", he said. "If you are above the falls, you can get away if you paddle fast enough, but once you are over the edge, you are lost. There's no way back.

The number of people enrolled in private health insurance under Obamacare has soared by more than one-third in recent weeks to around 3 million, according to government data released on Friday. Marilyn Tavenner, administrator of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), announced the preliminary tally in a blog posting.
