| The government employees union AFSCME is running an ad featuring a member who says he collects Mitt Romney's garbage. The worker, a black man, claims Romney doesn't care about "invisible people" like him and the services they provide. See for yourself: Maybe AFSCME should have also consulted with some of their members who are public librarians before they produced the ad. If they had, they might have learned that in his 2010 book No Apology; The Case for American Greatness Mitt Romney specifically wrote about garbage collectors, including a line about them being invisible to the suits:

Gee... I wonder how this garbage man feels to be used by the Democrats and his union in the dumb ad.
Hey pal... do you feel like a chump now?
Remember... it is NOT the Republicans or Romney who did this to you. It is the Dems and your union who made you look soooo stupid.
Who will he vote for in 34 days?

"Picking up 15, 16 tons by hand, you know that takes a toll on your body. When I'm 55, 60 years old, I know my body's gonna' be breaked down [sic]. Mitt Romney doesn't care about that."
I live in San Diego, where garbage trucks all have huge mechanical arms that extend from the trucks and grab the cans, dump their contents into the truck, and set the cans back in place. Then, at the landfill, the trucks tilt back to dump their garbage. Richard Hayes (the man in the video) does NOT pick up 15 tons of garbage by hand - that's a bald-faced lie.
Moreover, it's only fair to ask: How could Mr. Hayes possibly know that "Mitt Romney doesn't care"?!? Is he a mind reader? Apparently, Mitt Romney cares enough to have written about men who do Mr. Hayes's work, and to do so with respect and without pandering, back in 2010. I wish Mr. Hayes well, but I wish he'd told the truth, and I wish he hadn't slandered Mitt Romney.
Just what America needs more of, another sixty-second gotcha' video featuring yet another paid union liar.
The truth shall set us free in November.

I think the RNC should run this Ad in a side by side. Play this Black fellow who doesn't speak decent English in a split screen with Mitt hauling garbage and what he wrote in his Book about that task. First of all it will highlight just who Obama's Base is, and it will also show that the Obama team has stooped to a new low using this poor guy in their Ad. Oh year..maybe it would be good to look up what that guy is being paid. My bet is he makes over $15 per hour! If he's Union...probably double that! Not bad for someone as uneducated as this fellow appears to be!

Wow. This is huge! Mitt and us should be shouting this from the rooftops. How many Democrats have done anything like this? How many media types who love to shoot their biased mouths off would do something like this?
This is a great counter to the 47% Mitt supposedly doesn't care about. I've been boycotting Facebook for about a month because things have gotten so nasty there. I'm taking this page over there and shoving it down some people's throats.
OP, thanks for posting this!

NEW YORK – When Joe the Affenpinscher won the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Tuesday night, his handler Ernesto Lara raised him high towards the rafters as if to say, "We did it!" The uncommon dog with a familiar name proved that he was no regular Joe by becoming the first of his breed to win Best in Show at Madison Square Garden. The 9-year-old Affenpinscher´s full name is Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, but his handlers just call him Joe. The Affenpinscher is known for its monkey-like face but human-like qualities. For the last three years,

Ahhhhhhh the good life. As lovingly recorded by the New York Times. Here´s the Lord of His Manor…. "A baseball cap perched on his head, his eyes sheathed in sunglasses" as he "sipped a Diet Coke and gazed across Lake Tahoe to California… in this most calming of places -- the glassine lake ringed by snow-dusted mountains, the late-morning quiet.… riding around the lake in his S.U.V., wandering a pristine beach, puttering around his office, and enjoying a long wine-soaked dinner as the sun set over the lake." And when this gentleman of leisure is at hard at work?

Much of the conservative world seems shocked that the RNC is constrained from doing anything about voter fraud. The left wing blogosphere is laughing at everyone who didn’t know this already. To me, it’s old old news – sort of like the abolition of poll taxes. In fact, the abolition of poll taxes in 1964 is closer in time to the consent decree that the RNC entered with the DNC in 1982 than we are today distant from that same 1982 consent decree. Simply, under the terms of the order, the RNC cannot engage in ballot

I’m writing this in the morning of the 3rd, well before the debates. There are several things I can tell you about the debate though: Unless Barack Obama actually falls asleep while speaking, or eats a live puppy on stage (and even then, I’m not sure), the media will declare him the best, most presidential president ever, the brightest man in the room and the most informed economist of our times. Mitt Romney, meanwhile, will be uninformed, lying, plutocratic, uncaring, and – oh, of course – RACIIIIIIIIST. G-d forbid that Mitt says anything of substance, because it will be declared

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explained to the Women in the World summit in New York today that the clock is turning back for women in America. Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed. Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was

The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts. According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving." "The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per
