Unusual Dallas Earthquakes Linked to Fracking, Expert Says

| Three unusual earthquakes that shook a suburb west of Dallas over the weekend appear to be connected to the past disposal of wastewater from local hydraulic fracturing operations, a geophysicist who has studied earthquakes in the region says. Preliminary data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) show the first quake, a magnitude 3.4, hit at 11:05 p.m. CDT on Saturday a few miles southeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport. It was followed 4 minutes later by a 3.1-magnitude aftershock that originated nearby. A third, magnitude-2.1 quake trailed Saturday's rumbles by just under 24 hours

Comments: Scientist's proof is that he doesn't think it's a coincidence, although fracking in that area stopped more than 1 year ago. Also - photo of road damaged is referenced as Southern Cal. So why attach it to this article?

Yet, no relationship between "experts" and actual facts.

They made a documentary a few months ago and this is just the Earth spontaneously responding to the video. This area has had earthquakes before any fracking ever took place. And even if it is linked, that's a good thing. It's better to release pressure gradually, than one large release like the Madrid fault.

Article tries to link the earthquakes to fracking by siting one "scientist" who states "I can't prove that that's what happened, but it's a plausible explanation.", and another who states that "Most, if not all, geophysicists expect induced earthquakes to be more likely from wastewater injection rather than hydrofracking".
So in other words, there is absolutely no evidence that fracking had anything to do with the earthquakes.

Even if fracking caused these quakes, magnitude 3 are ridiculously light earthquakes. You could experience a magnitude 3 earthquake and not even realize it.

Well I guess the earth spontaneously moved last year for us. We had an earthquake. Yep, fracking was going on down the road. I'd never heard of fracking before - but I sure know what was making the floor vibrate now. Yes, the floor was vibrating for months before the earthquake. The fracking has pretty much stopped and we haven't had any more earthquakes. Coincidence? I don't know. Just stating facts.

Therefore and hereby officially, I link these earthquakes to the Ouachita Tectonic Front. My proof is that it has more words in it than does "hydraulic fracturing."

KABUL, Afghanistan -- A NATO airstrike in eastern Afghanistan killed 11 civilians, 10 of them children, in addition to the Taliban militants it was trying to hit, Afghan officials said. The strike late Saturday in the Shigal district of restive Kunar province near Pakistan was called by coalition forces after they and their Afghan counterparts came under an attack that killed one American advisor and badly wounded four Afghan troops. The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
