Stock Market May Be Headed
for Rude Shock This Month

CNBC, by Maria Bartiromo

Original Article

Posted By:BaseballFan, 10/2/2012 2:42:26 PM

The focus on fundamentals is about to begin. For the last three months, investors have been ignoring the weak economic backdrop and plowing money into stocks because of the cheap money swirling from central banks around the world. Investors are searching for yield in an environment of rock bottom rates. But judgment day is coming. (Snip) Things are seen picking back up in the fourth quarter, with overall earnings growth expected at nearly 10 percent — but many sources I speak to are questioning such a bounce from negative to double-digit growth.

Let's see, earnings lower, taxes higher (by a lot), I think there is something wrong here.

The stock markets were going up based on the belief there would be more action on Spain, that is, more massive bailouts. Free money. There is no terrific business news to justify a rapidly rising market but there is a sufficient bubble for bad news to burst it.

There's basically no place else to put money if you are trying to make a return on investment. Real estate is shaky, bank interest rates are a joke, and starting a new business will earn the wrath of the government. The market will eventually correct itself (it always does).

The stock market right now is a bubble pumped full of very hot hydrogen gas, thanks to Ben "Dover" Bernanke (per request of Barry 'Em Obama). Europe is a powder keg. Obama is breaking all sorts of laws trying to keep his campaign afloat. Economists are saying we're already in recession -- Apple sold 50% of the expected number of iPhone 5's if you need a metric to gauge the consumer sentiment.

When this goes, oh the humanity... the humanity.

America is still the best place for the world to invest, so all those inflated dollars will end up here in our stock market.

Mitt Romney is about to win the presidency by a 5-10 point margin.

NEW YORK- CBS News says an editor made an "audio error" in dubbing the sound of a loud traditional car engine over footage of the much quieter Tesla electric car in a story that aired Sunday. Spokesman Kevin Tedesco said Tuesday that the loud car audio has been edited out of the online version of the story on Tesla founder Elon Musk. Anchor Scott Pelley reported the story, and CBS said he wasn´t aware of the added audio ahead of time. The revving sound, as opposed to the much quieter windlike noise of a Tesla, was noticed by the auto enthusiast website

AMMAN- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry broke from a visit to Italy on Wednesday to try to salvage Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, even as Arab leaders declared they would never meet Israel´s core demand to be recognized as a Jewish state. Kerry flew to Jordan to ask Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to commit to extending the negotiations, just days before Israel is supposed to release a final group of Palestinian prisoners as a confidence-building gesture. Before it releases the prisoners, Israel wants to be assured Abbas won´t abandon the U.S.-brokered talks, which resumed last July after a three-year break. Having initially

Busy week awaits NFL owners at

As further proof the NFL never is far from the headlines, owners could make plenty of news this week at their spring meetings. They will consider 13 playing rules proposals and seven bylaws. They will discuss expanding the playoff field from 12 to 14 teams, although a vote on such a move is uncertain. Some changes would seem to be slam dunks: extending the height of the goal posts 5 feet to help determine if kicks are good; eliminating overtime in preseason games; placing fixed TV cameras on the goal lines, end lines and sidelines to help with replay reviews.

Warm temperatures, colorful wildflowers. What´s not to like, about early signs of spring? Climate scientists at NASA say these early signs could be tied to global warming, and the consequences are troubling. 9NEWS talked to NASA scientist Dr. Compton Tucker at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. He said that on average, the last frost of the year is happening about five days earlier than it did just five decades ago. Tucker said his conclusions are drawn from a fleet of Earth-observing satellites that have been monitoring our planet for more than 40 years. That satellite data combined with

Prices are rising for a range of food staples, from meat and pork to fruits and vegetables, squeezing consumers still struggling with modest wage gains. Food prices rose 0.4% in February, the most since September 2011, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Tuesday. Beef and veal shoppers were socked with some of the biggest increases, as prices jumped 4% from January. Overall inflation remained tame, as falling gasoline and other energy costs offset the food price increases. The consumer price index ticked up just 0.1% from January and 1.1% in the past year.

An Internal Revenue Service employee took home personal information on about 20,000 IRS workers, former workers and contractors, putting the data at risk for public release, the agency said Tuesday. The employee took home a computer thumb drive containing names, Social Security numbers and addresses of the workers, and plugged the drive into an unsecure home network, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said in an email to employees. "At this point, we have no direct evidence to indicate this personal information has been used for identity theft or other inappropriate uses," the IRS said in a statement. Are cognac drinkers troublemakers? That would seem to be the premise behind a Portland bar’s ban on two kinds of cognac – Hennessy and Rémy Martin – as the owners try to convince city officials that they are making the place safer. In a letter to the police department, a lawyer for Sangillo’s Tavern said “the purchase of these liquors was related to detrimental conduct.” Hennessy cognac is heavily marketed to young black drinkers, raising questions about whether the ban has racial overtones. Hennessy has been mentioned in more than a dozen rap and hip-hop songs, and was called “Black

Before getting to the speech itself, it’s worth noting a few things. When the Democrats passed and Barack Obama signed Obamacare, the majority opposed it. About 56%, in fact. A majority have consistently opposed that law ever since. Now, as if by magic, they have their number. Somehow. All along, the administration has touted false numbers of enrollees. All along, the administration has neglected to admit that Obamacare is

A RAND study pours buckets of cold water on the Obama administration’s claims that it has nearly reached 7 million sign-ups for Obamacare. The whole point of Obamacare, supposedly, was to insure the uninsured and bend the cost curve down. Those who had insurance were supposed to be able to keep it. Families were supposed to start saving about $2500 a year. If you believed the Obama administration. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012.
