ABC's Stephanopoulos Leads
Post-Debate Media Spin
for Democrats

NewsBusters, by Rich Noyes

Leading into tomorrow’s presidential debate, journalists are busy setting expectations for the candidates. On Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos argued that Mitt Romney is under “huge, huge” pressure: “He is behind right now. He is behind nationally, he’s behind in all of the battleground states. This is the last big audience that Mitt Romney is going to have with about four and a half weeks left to go.” But more undecided voters will be swayed by the media’s post-debate spin about who won and who lost than by any pre-debate expectations. Reviewing the last several campaigns,

This -- and especially the video contained within it -- is one of the most powerful proofs I've seen that the media in this country is completely out of control. How many Americans under 30 even know George S was a Clinton operative? Why doesn't ABC acknowledge that any opinion he expresses is "commentary?" I am cutting and pasting this link and sending it to everyone I know. I'm starting to see that the general public is, finally, demanding at least some objectivity from the press ... and this may help. Hopefully it will keep ABC from asking this partisan little weasel what he thinks about the O/Romney debates.

This Democratic party hack calling himself a "journalist" is a joke but, of course, pretty much every "journalist" these days is a joke,'cause practically all of them are "card carrying members" of Obama & Co.'s "Ministry of Truth," and they all know the "secret handshake."

This is, after all, the same little weasel who in 2008 saved the day when Obama used the phrase "my Muslim religion," in an interview with Stephanopoulis, and Steph. stepped in and corrected Obama by quickly saying, "you mean your Christian religion."

After Obama's recent speech at the UN, in which he took on the mantle of Defender of the Faith--unfortunately that faith was not Christianity or Judaism, but Islam--we now all know that Obama was actually speaking the truth when he said "my Muslim religion."

I think we viewers can figure out for ourselves who wins these debate, and we don't need some toady to tell us.

We don't even need them, in my opinion, but I'm afraid Mitt really does. Facts have their place, but marketing is the key to success, and urkel is very good at it.

"This is my last election," President Obama said in words caught on an open mic. "After my election, I have more flexibility." He was speaking in Seoul, South Korea, in March 2012, almost exactly two years ago, to Dmitry Medvedev, then in his last year as Vladimir Putin´s stand-in president of Russia. The subject was missile defense, and Obama was apparently seeking time to assuage Russia´s objections that a proposed U.S. missile defense system, sited in Romania, Poland, Turkey and Spain, would not be aimed at Russian missiles. Earlier, in September 2009, Obama canceled missile defense installations in Poland and

Obama White House Continues to Swindle

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last month, First Lady Michelle Obama called young people "knuckleheads" for refusing to sign up for Obamacare. As the data and numbers on Obamacare continue to be analyzed, especially for young people, it appears the real knuckleheads are those who think millenials can actually afford health insurance under the "Affordable" Care Act. Forbes Contributor Scott Gottlieb is out with a piece today detailing the cost of Obamacare health plans for young people making between $25,000 and $45,000 per year. The prices are astounding. Yesterday, a Twitter fight exploded when Ebony senior editor Jamilah Lemieux dismissed RNC deputy press secretary Raffi Williams as “a white dude trying to tell me how to do this Black thing.” However, Raffi is not a “white dude,” as those of us who know him can attest, but is African-American. Lemieux later offered an apology of sorts for not checking his Twitter profile more closely, but as Twitchy noted, that was hardly the salient issue at hand. Today, the RNC decided to escalate the situation. RNC chair Reince Priebus wants an apology from Ebony, and has published an open letter

With their grip on the Senate in danger and with few winning issues to run on, Democrats are trying to turn the midterms into a referendum on the Koch brothers. Charles Koch, 78, and David Koch, 73, who run the second-largest privately held company in the country, are pouring a chunk of their vast fortune into helping Republicans take back the Senate. The billionaire MIT graduates have been hugely successful in building Koch Industries, a company founded by and named after their father, into a multinational conglomerate with $115 billion in annual revenues and 100,000 employees, 60,000 of whom work

Just days before the Affordable Care Act deadline, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the administration is “confident” the healthcare website will be able to handle the volume of users in the final push. Speaking to reporters as President Obama traveled to Saudi Arabia, Carney would not say how many sign-ups they are expecting in the final few days. The deadline for signing up is Monday, though the administration says people who have attempted to start an account before March 31 can still enroll in the exchanges after the deadline. Carney did not make any announcements about what events Obama would

Support of for the healthcare law stands at 26 percent in a poll conducted by The Associated Press. The AP-GFK poll released Friday showed little change from a January AP poll that found 27 percent of the public supported the law. Opposition to the law stands at 43 percent. Opposition peaked shortly after the law´s passage in 2010 at 50 percent. The AP poll finds that, while support for the law has diminished in the last few years, opposition hasn´t drastically increased. That is because a large section of the public, 30 percent, now say they neither support nor oppose the law. That

Some of us who don’t belong to the Beltway’s elite read Barack Obama early on. He is rigidly ideological, he knows nothing about national security, and will be bullied by other, more experienced world leaders. Some inside the nation’s political sinkhole did too — Hillary Clinton’s “3 AM” commercial argued that Obama wasn’t ready to be the leader of the free world. I’m no fan of Clinton’s, and honestly she isn’t any more prepared to lead than Obama was, but that ad was dead-on. National Journal’s Ron Fournier has finally figured Obama out, and written a grimly enjoyable column about how

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. When Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis a little more than a year ago, the first thing that struck those who knew him well was his unexpected, beatific smile. “In Argentina, he didn’t smile like that,” Sergio Rubin, the pope’s biographer, said this week at a conference sponsored by the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “That was the big surprise.” Since then, the pope has mostly kept on smiling — in homilies, in audiences, in meetings with the homeless and the poor.
