It's also not safe to assume those answering the polls are being truthful. I've been polled a lot lately. I've become a young, black woman, registered Democrat who votes a straight Republican ticket.

The folks most likely to refuse to answer are the same folks who are really fed up with the current WH occupant and his Big Media enablers. I run just about all my incoming phone calls through the answering machine these days.

The 47% have nothing better to do than participate in these 'polls,' where the 53% are working for a living, raising children, cooking, cleaning, and paying their bills.

The media is obsessed with the lack of enthusiasm for 0bama on the left. It is an omen that keeps them awake at night and prevents them from counting sheep.

Enthusiasm on the right is not, however, an adequate indicator of voter turnout. By nature, most conservatives are not motivated by enthusiasm. DETERMINATION would be the more accurate standard. Most conservatives are not doing cartwheels in the street, but are more than determined to vote Romney against 0bama.

My wife has a rule... do not answer 800 number calls or Unidentified calls.

Unlike Rush, I can't claim that ''I am holding in my former nicotine-stained hands,'' because don't smoke. But, In my hands a moment ago where four yellow, very official looking envelopes from the 2010 election cycle. They are allegedly from my voting district here in Texas. They claim to be a 2009-2010 0bama Agenda survey. And return address is the Republican National Committee.

I never opened them, nor trust that they weren't really something heading for the sleazy 0bama campaign. Either way, and I'm home a lot, will never respond to a poll, either human or robo-call.

With the EVIL stench of 0bama leading the current Communist dRATS Party, this forum is the only place I trust to state my true feelings & they will be heard. If pollsters, including political candidates ignore this website, they do so at their own peril.

In the past 30 days I have had exactly 2 calls on my home phone that were not either political or someone wanting me to donate or buy something. I simply don't answer my home phone anymore as anybody I want to talk with normally calls me on my cell phone. I'm wondering what use a no-call list is when no one seems to pay attention to it. I assume I'm just getting robocalls where a dialer is automatically dialing a series of numbers. No need to answer a machine in my opinion. I'm seriously thinking of unplugging the phones until the election season is over and am really seriously thinking of getting rid of it all together.

I quit responding to polls when they demanded information on my age, income, marital status, education level, how many people lived in my house, and so on. One even told me, "we won't count your opinion unless you tell us." I replied, "fine with me," and hung up. Now with call screening, it is easy to ignore the calls.

Don't hang up on polls!

Most have rules that they can't hang up on you. When they call say "Can you excuse me a moment, I have to turn off the stove" Then put the phone down and go about your business.

This will tie them up for 30 minutes or so until they can get a supervisor to allow them to hang up
