Wheels coming off
New York Post, by Michael A. Walsh

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 10/1/2012 5:09:25 AM

With a little more than a month to go before a crucial national election, the wheels are coming off the Obama administration’s national-security credentials. The coordinated attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, which killed our ambassador and three other Americans — and the worldwide explosion of assaults on our diplomatic installations elsewhere in the Muslim word — have vividly exposed the hollow core of the president’s foreign-policy “reset.” It was just a few weeks ago at the Democratic national convention that Obama confidently declared that “al Qaeda is on the path to defeat and Osama bin Laden is dead.”

...a disgrace on so many levels...

...among the various pieces of information, I would like to know who made the choice to "outsource" the protection of the consulate to non-americans to save a buck...

...they all need to be exposed...

Oh please. As Lightworker will explain in the debates, the Islamic protesters were angry about stuff like Mitt Romney's War on Women. MSM international has informed the world that Romney might even slander the Prophet of Islam, so who wouldn't riot and kill ambassadors about that?! Nothing to see here, move along...

A little off topic; but here is something you can do.

Our County GOP purchased 1,000 Romney signs. On Sunday we had a "fee Romney signs" event. Had the kids waiving signs on a busy 4 lane hwy. Gave away over 300 signs in 2 hrs and collected enough donations to cover the cost.

People are hungry to do their little part.

The wheels may be coming off, but the American electorate is seemingly unconcerned in the back seat, as the car hurtles toward the cliff, reminiscent of Thelma and Louise.

The wheels are coming off, but does it matter? The media won't report the wheels, they will report Mitt Romney's latest 'gaffe'.

Oh well, they'll have their Obamaphones and food stamps.

Wheels coming off? That pre-supposes that the wheels were ever on in the first place. Foreign policy in the past 4 years has been nothing short of a disaster for the country. Of course, you'd never know it from our ever-vigilant watch-dog media. s/o

Little Georgie Steph just announced on GMA that Obama's lead is "razor thin".

You know it must be really bad when ABC starts telling us its getting close.

2 more days for debates.

35 or so to vote. Go vote early!!

They heard the attacks were going to take place. They thought that because they were so smart and so "tolerant" the attacks wouldn't happen. The attacks happened. The only thing they could think of to do at that point was to blame them on somebody else. So they went looking for something and found that lame youtube video that nobody had really seen.

Believe it or not Qaddafi's army didn't just vanish. The administration has been careful to not link this attack to remnants of his forces. Instead they use al Qaeda as the catchall phrase. I'm guessing they had a hand in it. That place could explode once again. Our abandoning the embassy in Tripoli is another sign of impending trouble.

#10, Baldguy is onto something.
Obama has lied for 3 weeks about the killing in Benghazi for a reason.
There is an overwhelming callousness here that echos the callousness with which Obama and Holder dismiss 100s of 'gunwalking' deaths of Mexicans.
In both cases Obama had political motives powerful enough to stonewall and lie.

In Benghazi the motive seems to be Obama's strange campaign to 'protect The Prophet', ignore 'terrorism' and blame someone else. For the 'gunwalking', the dispatch of 1000s of weapons to the narco cartels coincided with the Obama administration political push to attack the 2nd Amendment.

Obama is, above all, about political manipulation. Here we see the deadly results.

The American public need to know that Ambassador Stevens was dragged out of the safe house (who decided that was a "safe" house?) and dragged through the streets and sodomized continually during his ordeal....

The media doesn't want that known -- sooooooo -- spread the word. His capture was more disgusting than the MSM wants to admit.....

Also -- WE didn't hear about Gadafi's (the prior leader) being sodomized with a knife before he was killed. The president didn't want anyone to know WE are dealing with animals....

The sad truth here is that the media isn't going to cover this story as it is unfolding now. Doing that would hurt Obama. A large, large, large percentage of the country still believes "the video caused it" story line because that is all they heard on 9/11-9/12. That was the extent of the general population's attention span and they have moved on. Everything we see in the new media, the majority of the nation sees nothing of. The clueless will elect Obama and it infuriates me.

The media gets more daring everyday and more corrupt everyday. Unless the media can be stopped in their creating the news, we are sunk. We will be putting up with Obama for 4 more years and watch as the media and the left fundamentally change America.

I loathe the media. They are the messengers who will help this administration destroy our country, and feel no guilt about the lies they spew.

The video reference was a convenient CYA mechanism vs. the obvious incompetence that actually occured.

In other words Obama needed some reason to claim it wasn't his fault, that totally pervasive passion he has for blaming other factors vs. himself. By the way, this is a huge character flaw and seems to be self created and perpetuated by it's owner.

This country is at war, Muslims are killing our citizens at home and abroad (an act of war) and Hussein is giving away so called Obama cell phones to incompetents who can now be called on election day to make sure they vote for him. Think the DNC doesn't have all of those numbers and you paid for them. Reports are that they gave away a million phones in Ohio alone.

On the other hand, he did strangle Usama all by himself and threw him overboard into the sea somewhere next to a coastal golf course.

And I still say we have not yet had even a hint of a look at what this is really about. Even the willingness to now blame an intelligence failure smells of a Plan B cover story. A fall back position. Didn't buy Rice's fairy tale? No problem. Here's Clapper with a different one.

I still maintain that in order to begin to get a glimpse of the picture, you have to ignore Benghazi. Take away the alquaeda attack on the embassy and the killing of our ambassador, and what do you have?

A bunch of "demonstrations" blamed on a video nobody saw. Tweets ready to go out from the Cairo embassy DURING THE DEMONSTRATION blaming the video. A general (!!??) ready to place a phone call to a goofball minister in Florida with a history of anti-islam theatrics. Newsweek ready to go with a "Muslim Rage" cover story. Then Obama speechifying at the UN, declaring that the future will not belong to those who criticize Islam. Seriously? Did an American president REALLY say that? Publicly?

This was all planned and ready to go. Just as much of a setup as the phony "war on women" narrative they launched. Breach some embassy walls. Burn some flags. Yell for the cameras. Nobody gets hurt. But Alquaeda messed it all up in Benghazi.

What was the motivation? I don't know. Maybe to push the measure in the UN that would make crtiticizing Islam a crime on par with genocide. Maybe to give Obama an opportunity to look presidential right before the debates. I don't know. But it was all a setup. I'm convinced of it.

Pop quiz. With whom is the U.S. presently at war? At any other time in our nation’s history most Americans could have readily answered that question. Great Britain. Mexico. Spain. Germany. North Korea. North Vietnam. Iraq. Even college students who couldn’t name the vice president or their state’s governor would know who their non-college-material buddies were being sent overseas to kill or be killed by. These days the world is a bit more complicated. There are the easy answers: the Taliban. Al Qaeda. Then the waters get a bit murky. One might justifiably ask if America is at war with Syria,

Life in Maine, where Stephen King has spent most of his adult years, requires long drives down country roads, time that King, whose mind is restless, likes to fill by listening to books on tape. In the ’80s, however, he sometimes could not find the books he wanted on tape — or maybe he just did not bother. He had three children: Naomi, Joe and Owen. They could read, couldn’t they? All King had to do was press record. Which is how his school-age children came to furnish their father, over the years, with a small library’s worth of books

That’s ambitious to be sure, but Kerry’s optimism raises a key question: With Syria torn by civil war, Egypt in the midst of a meltdown that may lead to another Arab civil war, and the Iranian nuclear program still the region’s major strategic threat, why is the secretary of state pushing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process? Perhaps with everyone else in the region tied down fighting for vital interests or mere survival, John Kerry imagines he has a unique opportunity

Voter identification laws have Democrats up in arms. One of the reasons, as Nate Cohn illustrated last week, is that they disproportionately affected non-white and Democratic voters in North Carolina. This effect, however, only would have padded Romney´s lead in the state by 0.5pt to 0.8pt. In other words, it would only have made a difference in the tightest of elections, and North Carolina isn´t close to being the state that determines the winner in presidential elections. If Democrats want to be upset about something, they should turn their attention to felon and ex-felon voting restrictions.

In the meantime, Eliot Spitzer — Weiner´s fellow New Yorker, whose fall from grace was also well-documented — still has a good shot at becoming the city´s next comptroller. Despite their baggage, both men began their campaigns with a headstart on the competition. That headstart was provided not because they showed an aptitude for success in their previous political positions.

Mark Levin, who hosts one of America´s top radio talk shows and is considered by supporters to be the people´s pundit on the Constitution, is rallying his 8.5 million-strong audience to demand an historic convention of state governments to halt the "oppressive power" of the federal government. The author of two New York Times bestsellers on the threats to the Constitution, Levin hopes his latest, "The Liberty Amendments," out mid-August, will spark the state lawmakers to tap a rarely used Constitutional provision to institute measures that would brake President Obama´s use of executive orders, bar thousand-page laws and

The former commander of special operations in Northern Africa told a closed-door briefing today that he was largely detached from events the night of the Benghazi attack as he was traveling at the time. The testimony of Col. George H. Bristol, USMC, Former Commander, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Trans Sahara, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Africa, had been eagerly anticipated by members of Congress. Originally, lawmakers had been told by the Defense Department that he had retired — the actual date is Aug. 1, an “administrative error” according to the Pentagon — and that they didn’t have

Arizona Sen. John McCain was the Republican Party´s 2008 presidential nominee and he still wants the keys to the Oval Office. But he is beginning to sound more like a fan of likely 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. "She´s a rock star," he said in a newly released interview. "She has, maybe not glamour, but certainly the aura of someone widely regarded throughout the world," he added in a reference to her work as secretary of State. McCain, reportedly trying to win back his reputation as a GOP maverick, was asked by the New Republic

President Obama has been rolling up his sleeves campaigning across the country delivering a surreal stump speech message supposedly aimed at the middle class: big government works, Obamacare is manna from heaven, the wave of recent scandals are “phony” figments of the imagination, and all economic problems are the fault of the Republicans. Conveniently, he leaves out the bankruptcy of Detroit, a city run by his own party for more than half a century. His message is so stale and unconvincing, that even The New York Times and Washington Post have noticed. Both papers, usually loyal to Obama, remarked that

Serial sexter Anthony Weiner’s wife partly blamed herself last year when her horndog husband confessed to her that he was at it again. Friends and family told People magazine that Huma Abedin was kicking herself at the time for bailing out of couples counseling and focusing more on their newborn baby boy. But, thanks to a new round of joint therapy that continues even now, the couple was able to put the relapse behind them. “They really became a unit, and she feels much closer to Anthony now,” a relative told the magazine. That’s a long way from how Abedin

Gotta figure her lead would be even bigger without Joe Miller in the field here. Her nomination for the taking? Alaska should be a top tier pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans next year…but their top choice of a candidate is Sarah Palin. 36% of GOP primary voters in the state say they’d like Palin to be their standard bearer against Mark Begich to 26% for Mead Treadwell, 15% for Dan Sullivan, and 12% for Joe Miller.

Embattled Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner and an attorney in the Federal Election Commission’s general counsel’s office appear to have twice colluded to influence the record before the FEC’s vote in the case of a conservative non-profit organization, according to e-mails unearthed by the House Ways and Means Committee and obtained exclusively by National Review Online. The correspondence suggests the discrimination of conservative groups extended beyond the IRS and into the FEC, where an attorney from the agency’s enforcement division in at least one case sought and received tax information about the status of a conservative group,

Sen. John McCain — a Democrat? There was confusion Wednesday after the Arizona Republican mistakenly strolled into President Obama’s meeting with Senate Democrats at the Capitol. The room full of Democrats — who happened to be meeting in the same room where the Senate GOP usually holds their weekly policy luncheons — erupted in applause and laughter as the former Republican presidential candidate made his entrance. As McCain, 76, walked out of the Dem-filled space, reporters pressed him as to why he stepped foot in the room.

In preparation for the release of Oscar-bait film The Butler, Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, and director Lee Daniels (Precious) sat down with Parade magazine. The film chronicles a butler (Whitaker) who works in the White House through seven administrations. Winfrey plays the butler’s wife. In the interview, Winfrey explained her sadness that so few Americans know about the history of the civil rights movement: “They don’t know diddly-squat. Diddly-squat.” She then said of the historic use of the n-word, “I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last

If we learned anything about Barack Obama in his first term it is that when he starts repeating the same idea over and over, what´s on his mind is something else. The first term´s over-and-over subject was "the wealthiest 1%." Past some point, people wondered why he kept beating these half-dead horses. After the election, we knew. It was to propagandize the targeted voting base that would provide his 4% popular-vote margin of victory—very young voters and minorities. They believed. He won. The second-term over-and-over, elevated in his summer speech tour, is the shafting of the middle class. But

In her first speech since taking over the Environmental Protection Agency, Gina McCarthy came out swinging Tuesday and promised to ramp up the aggressive climate change agenda laid out by President Obama.(snip)“Can we stop talking about environmental regulations killing jobs? Please, at least for today,” she said during remarks at Harvard Law School. “We need to cut carbon pollution to grow jobs. We need to cut carbon pollution to strengthen the economy. Let’s talk about it positively. Let’s approach this as an opportunity of a lifetime. There are too many lifetimes at stake.”
