| On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

Yes, apparently discovering, exposing, and going after those who were responsible for this criminal project is "politicizing" it. A most interesting viewpoint by the crack investigative journalists at ABC. They're so proud of their ability to show the horrific results of the crime that they are totally uninterested in finding out who was responsible for it.

ABC waits for Univision before working up the least bit of indignation. It was known over a year ago that over 200 and maybe 300 Mexicans had been killed as a result of Obama's gun running operations. It was known that not only was Agent Terry killed, but that Zapata and Avila were also killed with guns from this fiasco. Maybe we did not know specifically about the 14 killed at the January party in Juarez or the group of young men killed several months later in Juarez. But we knew enough to know that Eric Holder should have been fired as Atty General. If the president during all this had been named Richard Nixon, he would have been run out of town on a rail, tarred & feathered by Democrats and their media cohorts. Yet ABC and Univision do not even broach the topic of Obama's responsibility in all this. Univision lets Obama off with a his lying.

The Gang of Eight — four Democratic and four Republican U.S. senators — have been meeting behind closed doors since January to produce “comprehensive immigration reform.” That will mean a multi-thousand-page bill that no one reads. You know the saying “fool me twice.” Americans got bamboozled in 2010, when the 2,572 page Obama health law was rushed through Congress unread. The surprises buried in that law are causing havoc. Denver-based CNN journalist Jim Spellman says the total lack of media coverage of the legal travails faced by Fox News reporter Jana Winter for protecting her sources clearly demonstrates an anti-Fox News bias in the press. Spellman claimed in a tweet that if Winter, who faces a subpoena and potential contempt of court charges for protecting her sources, worked for the New York Times instead of Fox News, the case would be garnering far greater exposure. “Observation: If @janawinter, who may go to jail to protect sources, worked for @nytimes instead of @FoxNews the case would be huge,” Spellman tweeted Sunday night.

Secretary of State John Kerry is worth some $200 million, give or take a yacht. So his decision to slap a 5% pay cut on himself in solidarity with government employees squeezed by sequestration won’t likely hurt him much. In March, the number of Americans who dropped out of the labor force increased by 663,000 which adds up to a record 90 million Americans who are no longer looking for employment. Zero Hedge reported: This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. A new CNN/ORC International poll found President Obama´s overall approval rating has ticked up to 51 percent but ratings have fallen on his handling of the key issues on his agenda: immigration, guns, and the deficit. In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
