| Las Vegas - President Barack Obama says he's "just okay" at debating, as his campaign continued trying to lower expectations ahead of his first face-off with Republican Mitt Romney. Speaking at an evening campaign rally Sunday, Obama graded his GOP opponent as "a good debater." The candidates will compete in their first of three debates Wednesday. (Snip) Obama spoke to more than 11,000 people gathered at a high school in Las Vegas. The rally was aimed in part at rallying Hispanic voters and featured a performance by the Mexican rock band Mana.

If the Fundraiser in Chief is only ''okay'' at debating then it's his best area because he simply sucks at everything else he does. He's playing down expectations but be warned, he has had some writers (like from the Daily Show) craft some lines for him to insert into the debate. The media are waiting for them to heap praise upon 0bama for them.

So basically what we're supposed to deduce from all of this lowering of expectation is that if Obama can manage to walk up to the podium, Wednesday night, without stumbling it'll be considered a "home-run" performance. No wonder he canceled some of his debate prep -- why do all that when the media is going to declare you winner regardless!

BO already has submitted the questions he will permit for the debates. He'll have a cochlear implant so that Val Jar and Axelgrease can remind him of the answers. The mirrored sunglasses of the Secret Service agent standing nearby will serve as his mini TelePrompTer. The only thing Obama will be responsible for is scratching his nose with his middle finger and uttering "You're likeable enough, Mitt" when Romney is repeatedly challenged on why he is so cold, aloof, uncool, distant and disgustingly rich. Should be an interesting evening, especially the post debate comments of Stephanie Cutter and Debbie Wasserman Schultz on all the channels and next morning news shows. "Of course Romney was continuing his war on woman when he mentioned 23 million unemployed. The President countered this debasement of woman brilliantly." Very sad, but at least the colonoscopies are free.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. As expected, the presidential race is tight in Ohio, where the polls just closed: President Obama is winning women 55 percent to 44 percent in the early CBS News exit poll, while Mitt Romney is leading 52 percent to 46 percent among men. Women made up 51 percent of the electorate, compared to 49 percent among women. Thirty-nine percent of voters so far identified themselves as Democrats, compared to 30 percent calling themselves Republican. Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.
