White House Hack Attack
Washington Free Beacon, by Bill Gertz

Original Article

Posted By:nhchemist, 9/30/2012 8:45:13 PM

Hackers linked to China’s government broke into one of the U.S. government’s most sensitive computer networks, breaching a system used by the White House Military Office for nuclear commands, according to defense and intelligence officials familiar with the incident. One official said the cyber breach was one of Beijing’s most brazen cyber attacks against the United States and highlights a failure of the Obama administration to press China on its persistent cyber attacks.

Why does the incompetence of this administration not surprise me?

In other news, while the Chinese successfully hacked into our defense network, somehow they accidentally triggered multiple launches. It was quite a coincidence that Beijing was the sole target...

This had to have been an "inside job". There should be no way that a server in China could "physically" access our defense network otherwise. (The thumb drive attack on Iran's nuclear centrifuges is an example of an "inside job". Someone physically accessed a "legitimate" computer on their network.) In this case, someone had to physically attach a hardware "bridge" to permit access by a computer outside this "closed" network. Software hacking notwithstanding and beside the point. (This network was physically closed, wasn't it??????)

Why is this not considered an act of war? This is incredibly dangerous to this nation and should be treated as a sneak attack. There must be consequences to China over this.

I need to add that radio uplink access to a military satellite would also come under "physical access". That prospect is even scarier. It would mean that the Chinese could hack anything that is tied into the satellites. As #8 indicates, that would constitute a war action on the level of our cracking the Japanese code in WWII.

I hope I'm not banned for posting again, but don't forget the drone that was downed ("meaconed"?) in Iran a few months ago. That drone was controlled by military satellites, and a bit of reverse engineering may have led to the physical "link". There also might have been more than we were told in the tail of the helicopter that crashed during the UBL raid in Abbottabad. There might also have been a mole at one of our bases in the ME. I'll stop now - too scary to think about this any further.

There is obviously an extremely dangerous breach of security in the Øbama regime. The terrorists in Libya knew exactly when and where to attack our embassy to capture and kill our ambassador. It was reported our ambassador was also viciously tortured before he was killed. Apparently there was some kind of big CIA operation going on in that embassy the terrorists knew about and may have been the true target of the attack.

A) Do nothing and watch how they react?
B) Cause the U.S. to launch a pre-emptive strike against Russia?
C) Cause the U.S. to launch a first strike against a rural remote portion of China to justify retaliation?
D) All the above in sequence to assure your sole domination of the world economically and militarily?

But wait - - they'll be hungry for more U.S. missiles in about an hour.

For the top defense computers, networks and various secure systems, there is supposed to be, in place, a plan to immediately change any and all access codes in the event that ANY breach has been made on any of the systems. It's done that way just to prevent anyone or any country to gain access and attempt to use the information against us. But, given the incompetence of this administration, I wonder if this was actually done.

How NH Dems made Havenstein

Walter Havenstein of Alton is running for the Republican nomination for governor. Democrats claim he is ineligible because although he has lived in New Hampshire since 1999 and maintained his legal domicile here all that time, he also was a legal resident of Maryland from 2008-2011. The New Hampshire Constitution states that the governor “shall have been an inhabitant of this state for 7 years next preceding.” (Snip) Because of the Democrats’ insistence that “domicile” be kept strictly separate from “residency,” Havenstein has been a legally domiciled inhabitant of New Hampshire since 1999.

The American gun control movement is going corporate. Still reeling from the stinging legislative defeats of 2013, proponents of tougher firearm regulations are increasingly turning their focus to private sector campaigns. Gun control groups have claimed victories in recent months, successfully pushing Starbucks to declare guns unwelcome in stores and persuading Facebook to crack down on unregulated firearm solicitations. With no end in sight to the congressional gridlock that has thwarted more stringent federal gun laws, groups say they will continue to apply pressure on major companies.

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
