Romney camp joins in calls
for clear Libya explanation, says
Obama officials giving mixed info

The administration and the Obama re-election campaign appeared to give conflicting statements Sunday about the president’s knowledge on the terror attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya, according to the Romney camp, which has joined in asking for a clearer explanation of the events and the U.S. response. Obama Campaign senior adviser David Axelrod said on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the president called the Sept. 11 strike an act of terror “the day after it happened.” However, David Plouffe, a senior White House adviser, said later Sunday that “in the days after” the attack on the consulate in Benghazi

Comments:
Mitt & Co. need to keep this national security debacle/scandal on the front burner because the MSM has barely skimmed the surface and is dying to make this go away.

The 3AM call came.
Obama went back to sleep.
And in the morning the lies and blame shifting began.
What is amazing is that the Obama manipulation, spin and lies are still going on 3 weeks later.

Obama has been determined to blame, Romney, an obscure con-man in California, and now the 'intelligence agencies'.
Our Ambassador is dead and Obama is struggling to utter the word 'terrorism'.

The mainstream media is focused on not seeing the obvious, so it is time to send Univision, Spanish TV, who appear to have the only honest reporters who will ask real questions.

Mitt should announce his cabinet would have some of those that were on the stage with him during the primaries.

Now IF the general press would even mention the article things would be great. I read it and it was excellent....but the word just isn't getting out. Those who write in to Lucianne and complain about those of us (and I have contributed much $ to the campaign, even as late as last week) just don't understand because they probably just talk to (and visit blogs of) like minded Romney supporters and can't UNDERSTAND how anyone, save a die hard Dem, could vote for a man who has been in so over his head and created such disaster, but trust me, the word does NOT get out.......I have "friends" who would NEVER watch Fox and/or listen to Rush, and vilify them to the skies, and if questioned admit they never have (and never will) watch or listen. This is just a fact of life, and the Press has had a MAJOR effect this round, and it may sink us unless Romney comes out clear and strong on Wednesday! I myself can't even bear to watch the debates.

Sure Gov. Romney needs to make clear statements about the attack, and i believe he has, but what about McConnell and Boehner? They could call a press conference just like Pelosi and Reid did practically everyday when Bush was in office. I remember seeing them on TV trashing anything Bush did. We are fighting for the soul of the republic and our Republican leadership is silent. It is time to go on the offense. Quit sitting on the sidelines. Make some noise!

I agree with other posters as to where is the Congressional Republican leadership? I realize that Congress is in recess, but if Obama gets re-elected - they will be in permanent recess. Obama will "lead" through Executive Orders - Congress will become a shell.

I really really hope that the Romney campaign relaizes that this campaign is not just another campaign and legitimately pointing out failure sof the Obama Administration is not disrespecting the Office or the child occupying it.

I keep hearing these people on tv saying, about the debates, "Romney must respect the office of the President". May I ask why? Obama has not been a President - he has been a puppet on a string for the socialist party and the muslums and they all are in the process of destroying this country. He is going to win because there are so many stupid people in this country who have no idea what has happened to this country and especially what WILL happen to this country if he gets reelected. If we loose this election, we will be saying goodby to freedom, to our past way of life and to our future. It will be gone and there will be NO turning back.

I have been wondering about Boehner for quite some time now.
Has he passed away?
In a coma somewhere?
Bound and gagged under his desk?
Drowned in his own tears?
Back to tending bar in Ohio?
Kidnapped by space aliens?

I used to think that Delay and Hastert were pretty useless...but at least they showed up for work occasionally. Aaron Klein is an investigative reporter with more guts than all the LSM combined. This report is worth a read. Here's an excerpt:

Almost entirely missing from the debate surrounding the anti-U.S. attacks in Libya is the administration’s policy of arming jihadists to overthrow Mideast governments. But in the case of Libya, the arming of jihadists may have directly resulted in the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and the subsequent murder of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith, private security employees and former U.S. Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
