| DES MOINES, Iowa- Five weeks to Election Day, President Barack Obama is within reach of the 270 electoral votes needed to win a second term. Republican Mitt Romney's path to victory is narrowing. To overtake Obama, Romney would need to quickly gain the upper hand in nearly all of the nine states where he and Obama are competing the hardest. Polls show the president with a steady lead in many of them as Romney looks to shift the dynamics of the race, starting with their first debate Wednesday in Denver. "We'd rather be us than them," says Jennifer Psaki, an Obama spokeswoman.

Pollsters are only reaching 9% of the people they call and that makes the polls accurate? 20 counties in Col. with big unemployment.Obama's only going to carry big welfare and big union states.

Obama is giving a lot of freebees with our money. Everyone in Ohio who is on welfare can get a free phone (free to them) by just dialing a phone number. He is hiring in the public sector as fast as he can. He is urging companies that are required to give employees notice of impending terminations not to do so until after the elections. I have seen ads that explain how to apply for disability pensions and supplying the phone number. He is making promises about all that he will do when he has more of a free hand from immigration to our relations with other countries. You name it, he's giving it away. How can either Romney or we ordinary Republican voters counter or compete? We may be overwhelmed by bought and paid for hordes who will show up at the polls.
He doesn't know much, but he has thoroughly mastered corruption.

And while Obama is doing everything he can to buy votes with our taxpayer money, it won't make that much of a difference...those are his base in the first place. I'm just so excited, because now--thanks to his UN speech of a couple of days ago, which made it crystal clear for anyone with a brain--just like the UK, we've got our very own "Defender of the Faith"
Too bad that faith isn't Christianity or Judaism, but Islam.
Christians and Christianity--and all the other religions of us "unbelievers--are under constant assault by Muslims all over the world--Churches and Bibles desecrated and burnt, worshipers harassed, beaten up, tortured, and killed, and Christians are even harassed and persecuted by government here at home, and who does Obama defend? America, Americans and Christianity or Judaism? No, the Muslim world, and our persecutor, Islam
Moreover, I'm pretty sure that same speach put an end to the many arguements--for a lot of people--about whether or not Obama might be a crypto-Muslim, 'cause the way I see it, with this speach, Obama really came out of the closet, and ain't bothering with the "crypto" any more.

Beautifully put #7.
The polls must all be wrong because a bunch of folks who spent the last year telling conservatives that Mitt was the man, and attacking anyone who said otherwise, don't like polls that say otherwise. If the polls showed Romney up, they'd still be citing them. Unfortunately, denial is not a strategy. Voting is a strategy. Please cast your vote for Mitt Romney.

Obama would not be spending so much time, and money, and political capital in states that we've been told were a "lock" for him. Romney is fighting three opponents: (1) Obama, (2) the media, and (3) the sore losers in the GOP who didn't want him.
Time to grow up, kiddies. Assuming that Jesus Christ is not running for office, which of the flawed humans do you want as President, Romney or Obama.
I think the answer is clear.

15,000 pages of serfdom (Obamacare); 10,000 pages of servitude (Dodd Frank)--the American people will run the table on all Democrats in November--this felonious political party will be likened to the snaildarter--nearly extinct when it is all said and done.
And to Eleanor Clift and the Ed Rendell types who keep questioning the Republicans and their nominee about what "program" or "plan" they have for America's future--just stick it where the sun don't shine.
We don't need no stinking plan--just free the American people and greatness will again prevail...!!

The important thing to remember, this contest isn't really between just two men. When we vote out Øbama we are voting out the whole rotten crew of Marxist goons that he hand picked to run things while he was out constantly playing golf or campaigning. That means no more Valerie Jarrett, bye bye Hillary Klintoon, Good riddance EPA and the whole corrupt infrastructure he created. It will be like a breath of fresh air and we can be happy again for the first time in four years. Come to think of it, why is Øbama even running for pResident? The real person running things is Valerie Jarrett. Øbama is just a lazy figurehead who pretends to be pResident in front of the MSM cameras and they support the whole fraud.

Some of Manhattan’s wealthiest neighborhoods are exploding in a wave of violent crime that hearkens back to the bad old days when people feared going out at night, according to NYPD data obtained by The Post. Chelsea, Gramercy Park, TriBeCa, SoHo and Midtown South all posted a frightening rise in rapes in the first three months of 2013 compared with the same period in 2012. Felony assaults in the usually peaceful West Village nearly tripled, the new crime statistics show. Greenwich Village’s 6th Precinct tied the Rockaways’ grimy 100th Precinct for the city’s biggest year-to-date overall

President Barack Obama’s advocacy organization Organizing for Action (OFA) raised over $4.8 million from first-quarter donors, including the chairman of a major lobbying firm, wealthy progressives affiliated with the secretive Democracy Alliance, and a member of popular 1990s hip-hop group the Fugees, according to a list of first quarter contributors released by the group today. OFA has agreed to disclose limited information about its $250-and-up donors on a quarterly basis. The group, which evolved out of President Barack Obama’s campaign arm, had previously been criticized for evading mandatory donor disclosure by registering as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit group.

MOSCOW – Russia slapped sanctions on a pair of former top Bush administration officials, two former commanders of the Guantanamo detention center, and 14 other Americans in retaliation for a set of human rights sanctions the Obama administration imposed on a number of Russian citizens on Friday. In a statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it was forced to respond to the American “blackmail,” which it warned would harm US-Russia relations. The Kremlin had prepared a list of over 100 American officials in advance of Friday’s announcement, warning its response would be proportionate to the Obama administration’s actions.

The shooting of a 34-year-old man Friday night pulled a crowd of angry people onto a chilly South Side street where they loudly called for retribution against the man suspected of the killing. About 100 residents of the apartment complex where Kevin Sanders was killed circled the front door of a building where the alleged shooter had holed up. The suspect, who police said had been shot in apparent retaliation, had gone there after the shooting. It´s not clear what set off the violence. Sanders, 34, had been shot about 11:10 p.m. in a courtyard between buildings in

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Of course, to describe newborn children in their boundless possibilities and wonder would be to acknowledge, foremost, their humanity. That is why, instead, abortion enthusiasts must grope for words

The law, said Rockefeller, is “so complicated and if it isn’t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse.” Rockefeller’s consternation echoes comments made earlier this

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

According to an ABC News report, senators from the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” pushing immigration reform are expected to drop their bill, estimated at around 1,500 pages, on Tuesday, mere hours before the only scheduled Senate hearing on the topic. “A bipartisan group of senators plans to introduce its long-awaited immigration bill on Tuesday, Senate sources confirmed to ABC News,” Jim Avila and Jordan Fabian wrote on Friday. “Four Democrats and four Republicans, known as the ´Gang of Eight,´ wrapped up months of hard-fought negotiations this week and will put forth a bill that includes a pathway

Remember little Anthony Freemont, played by cute little Billy Mumy, in one of the "Twilight Zone´s" most famous episodes? In the opening sequence Rod Serling informs us: "A monster had arrived in the village. Just by using his mind, he took away the automobiles, the electricity, the machines -- because they displeased him -- and he moved an entire community back into the dark ages -- just by using his mind. . . . and the people there have to smile. They have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because once displeased, the monster can wish them into a cornfield

On Thursday, in the midst of ongoing national debate over prospective gun control and comprehensive immigration legislation, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said that he didn’t need the approval of a majority of his own party to move forward with legislation. Referring to the so-called Hastert Rule, named after former House Speaker Denny Hastert (R-IL), which dictated that House leadership not bring up any bill for a vote without the support of a majority of the majority party, Boehner said, “Listen: It was never a rule to begin with.” Then, realizing the gravity of admitting

TALLAHASSEE - Picture this: You´re in the left lane of the interstate, driving a little below the speed limit, when some guy zips up behind you and swerves past you on the right. Then you notice the blue lights flashing. You´re savoring the satisfaction of seeing a trooper actually nab an aggressive driver — until you realize it´s you he´s pulling over. This could happen, if not very often, under a major transportation package expected to be taken up in the Senate Appropriations Committee next week. Introduced by Sen. Jeff Brandes, a St. Petersburg Republican, the bill is a 173-page

A few hours after Margaret Thatcher´s death on Monday, the snarling deadbeats of the British underclass were gleefully rampaging through the streets of Brixton in South London, scaling the marquee of the local fleapit and hanging a banner announcing, "THE B@&$! IS DEAD." Amazingly, they managed to spell all four words correctly. By Friday, "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead," from "The Wizard of Oz," was the No. 1 download at Amazon UK. Mrs. Thatcher would have enjoyed all this. Her former speechwriter John O´Sullivan recalls how, some years after leaving office, she
