| COX'S BAZAR, Bangladesh - Hundreds of Muslims in Bangladesh burned at least four Buddhist temples and 15 homes of Buddhists on Sunday after complaining that a Buddhist man had insulted Islam, police and residents said. Members of the Buddhist minority in the Cox's Bazar area in the southeast of the country said unidentified people were bent on upsetting peaceful relations between Muslims and Buddhists. Muslims took to the streets in the area late on Saturday to protest against what they said was a photograph posted on Facebook that insulted Islam.

When you have no argument, all you can do is be "insulted" at criticism. There is nothing to defend and nothing good in Islam, so, like leftists, whenever one points out the flaws and many evils, they are "offended" and go on the attack. They never once have to address the criticism or defend their evil beliefs, because there can BE no criticism. They are the "religion of peace," and they will kill you if you say otherwise. The only answer to such mindless evil is overwhelming force.

Deputy Spokesman Patrick Ventrell told the State Department press pool today that although the election results were certified, the U.S. would like a recount to occur in the Venezuelan elections. Multiple countries have recognized the new government and sent congratulations to the newly elected President of Venezuela, when asked if the U.S. government was going to do the same Ventrell replied, "We´re just not there yet."

Downtown Caracas people are on balconies banging their pots, as well as in east and southeast Caracas. Latin America: Venezuela´s election on Sunday, which saw bus driver Nicolas Maduro declared the winner by a razor-thin margin, reeked of electoral fraud. Kudos to challenger Henrique Capriles for calling it out. Fraud is a strong word but, yes, it´s the clearest conclusion from Venezuela´s election Sunday to pick a successor to the late socialist dictator Hugo Chavez. Chavez´s hand-picked successor "won" Venezuela´s election Sunday, with what Chavez´s anything-but impartial CNE electoral body declaring he´d gotten 50.6% of the vote, while his challenger, Miranda state governor Henrique Capriles Radonski garnered 49.07% — a gap of just 235,000 votes.

The 50-year-old former bus driver received 50.7 percent of the votes, the national electoral council said after about 99 percent of ballots were counted. Henrique Capriles Radonski, who temporarily stepped down as governor of Miranda state to run, had 49.1 percent and vowed to contest the results. “We had a fair and constitutional victory,” Maduro said after the results were announced. “This is another victory, a homage to our comandante Hugo Chavez.”

CANCUN, Mexico - Six people were strangled to death and one decapitated in the southern Mexican tourist resort of Cancun on Sunday, the state´s deputy attorney general said, in the latest mass killing to strike the city in the last few weeks. Watertown, Mass.– A number of gun shots were fired near Franklin Street in Watertown Friday night and it was believed that suspect number 2 in the Boston Marathon bombings had been shot. FOX 25's Bob Ward reported that as many 30 shots were fired in the neighborhood. Ward reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man known as suspect 2, was shot by police. It was not immediately known if Tsarnaev was killed. A bomb squad could be seen responding to the scene. A massive police presence was also in the area. We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate. That ideology motivates some Muslims to kill innocent people.But you´re allowed to be a radical Muslim in America.

While the media are bearing the brunt of public skepticism over the handling of the Boston bombing, the behavior of government is also eroding public trust. Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom. Andrew McCarthy of PJM notes that "Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday´s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon," and that part of it is the natural outgrowth of the desire of investigators to keep the details of their investigations secret, so as not to alert suspects.
