| KABUL, Afghanistan -- A firefight broke out between U.S. forces and their Afghan army allies in eastern Afghanistan Sunday, killing two Americans and three Afghan soldiers and pushing the number of U.S. troops killed in the long-running war 2,000. The fighting started Saturday when what is believed to have been a mortar fired by insurgents struck a checkpoint set up by U.S. forces in Wardak province, said Shahidullah Shahid, a provincial government spokesman. He said the Americans thought they were under attack from a nearby Afghan army checkpoint and fired on it, prompting the Afghan soldiers to return fire.

We will never get a straight story on this one - everyone is in full damage control mode. We still have not heard exactly how the jihadboys got inside Camp Bastion either. Looks like the Afghans are making nice nice with the Taliban in preparation for Obama's announced withdrawal date.

Zero wants to lose this war and make us look weak in the loss. He also wants Iraq to fall apart which it probably will and may already have.
By the way, Nightline and Ted Koppel, where is the parade of photos and names of the dead sliding across the screen to sad music? Was that only for Bush?
Zero has had over a thousand killed on his watch. Bush had less. Where are you Ted, you little weasel? Chewing up a mouthful of maggots, maybe?

CARACAS - Ruling party candidate Nicolas Maduro won Venezuela´s presidential election on Sunday with 51 percent of votes, the electoral authority said, allowing him to carry forward the socialist policies of the late Hugo Chavez. CANCUN, Mexico - Six people were strangled to death and one decapitated in the southern Mexican tourist resort of Cancun on Sunday, the state´s deputy attorney general said, in the latest mass killing to strike the city in the last few weeks. Police found the bodies of the five men and two women in a shack in the outskirts of Cancun, a major tourist destination on Mexico´s Caribbean coast, that has largely escaped the drug-related violence that has racked Acapulco, a faded tourist destination on the Pacific coast.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls.
