Hundreds of Thousands Flee
Democrat-Run California

Breitbart's Big Government, by Tony Lee

Due to high taxes, burdensome regulations, lack of public sector reforms, and a lackluster job climate, more people have left California than come to the state since 2005, according to a comprehensive study by the Manhattan Institute released on Tuesday, suggesting California is no longer “perceived by most Americans as the land where dreams come true.” In the report, titled “The Great California Exodus: A Closer Look," Tom Gray and Robert Scardamalia found Californians have fled to states like Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, South Carolina, and Georgia because those

The big problem is that only Republicans are leaving. They make the states they move to worse not better

It might actually be time for some retired republicans to move to California maybe turn it purple

Even if you win in Ca.,you lose anyway because some judge will throw the results out. Cal. is the liberal's model for the whole country.

Even if the ballot tax increase fails some judge will say the budget imbalance will hurt the poor and impose the taxes from the bench.

The liberal friends I left there twelve years ago are conservatives now. And feel trapped and are right to feel that way.

And they will be out voted every time.

I never heard any of them complain about taxes or Sacramento before. Never. One told me last night that her electric bill had gone up 400% in roughly 4 years.

I'm over in a red state. It isn't red enough. And state government power is vanishing. The federal government tightens the screws constantly. So I am in a sense trapped too.

Washington isn't going to change. Its pace may slow a little under Romney, or race a ahead in a second Obama term, but the direction will be the same.

I remember a Lucianne.com poster suggesting we divide America into two and let the liberal socialists progressives live on one side and conservatives live on the other; and see which one succeeds and which one fails.

Well, we just about have that situation in California and the results can be seen by all who are looking.

I left CA 15 years ago and loved the difference even then. Want my daughter and her family to leave as well. The sooner the better, because the affordability of the single family home continues to be out of reach for most young families. Besides where will the jobs be? Either your are in computers, IT or you have low paying jobs servicing the rich liberalites. Starting a new small business is nearly impossible with all the regulations and cap n trade they are now instituting. Watch Energy costs skyrocket!!

A security checkpoint on the Texas/western state border to avoid entry of Calif. license plates would seem to be the mindset of Monroe, La (was it Monroe) who forbid entrance into their city of the New Orleans residents after Katrina hit. Not near enough humanity to go around to all the victims of the hurricane.

No problem here with replanted California residents to the state of Texas. Just as long as they learn to drive Texas style (friendly) and don't attempt to change Texas conservative politics. We true Texans Remember the Alamo and Crockett, etc. Living in North Texas might be different mindset than living further south in the state.

But what's really bad is the media here. You won't see any favorable news re-Republicans. The media hate the Repub. governor and the whole Republican Senate and House. Yet there are those who cannot say why they would put Obama back in the WH, when there are no jobs here and our taxes will rise with Obamacare. Idiots.

Mickey Rooney, the pint-sized actor who was one of MGM’s giant box office attractions in the late ’30s and early ’40s, died on Sunday. He was 93. As adept at comedy as drama and an excellent singer and dancer, Rooney was regarded as the consummate entertainer. During a prolific career on stage and screen that spanned eight decades (“I’ve been working all my life, but it seems longer,” he once said), he was nominated for four Academy Awards and received two special Oscars, the Juvenile Award in 1939 (shared with Deanna Durbin) and one in 1983 for his body of work.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
