As the good Dr Sowell taught me, when you have price controls, four things inevitably follow: 1) An increase in demand, 2) a decrease in supply, 3) a decrease in quality and 4) Black Markets. Libs can deny that this will happen here with Obamacare, but the laws of economics cannot be denied.

One does not need to guess. The kind of health care the US will receive will be far worse than Canada, UK, and Europe combined. Each individual country is far less populated and more homogenous than the US. With the 50% + entitlement recipients, and a gazillion illegals, the US will have to increase taxes by a 100% to finance government run(DMV) healthcare.

Since Obamacare came on the scene in 2007, our private health insurance has increased by 68%. And once it is completely in place, taxpayers can anticipate at least $13,000 in taxes per year to cover every one, even if you are privately insured.

I had one GP for 15 years. He wrote all of his patients a letter around a year ago telling us that he wanted to find another way to make a living. I'm now on my third doctor. At least she speaks English.

#6: Obama wasn't even president until 2009. Not that Obamacare couldn't have raised your premiums that high already, but it wasn't around in 2007.

I have in-laws who are very pro-Obama and, for reasons I can't even pretend to comprehend, that makes people completely uninterested in learning the details of Obamacare. They are the exact people who will have their care limited. They are retirees with one of them needing a lot of doctor's visits and meds. Has a stay in the hospital at least once a year. They have a stellar insurance policy from his old job and, I guess, they think that won't change. Sorry, but it will change drastically and they'll be SOL.

And then what? Do you say "I told you so" when they tell her she can't get her heart meds even though her pulse is twice too fast? When they don't bother to find out why something's wrong, they just give her a pill to keep her calm?

Makes me want to kick something.

Despite stories like this,if the brits wanted to privatize healthcare the country would go bonkers. People accept failure as long as it's free.

There's people in housing here where they watch cockroaches ride around on rat's backs and having nothing to complain about because at least they don't have to pay rent.

The Death Bill put in limits to the cost of health insurance before penalties kick in. That way, the demonrats were able to increase insurance rates astronomically and everyone (except the elites in congress, muslims, & other favored groups) will get soaked with penalties.

#9, Britons have been brainwashed to think that Americans die all over the place becasue they don't have health insurance. British friends and relatives are incredulous when I tell them it's not true. Most Britons, unless they've been to the US, don't know that current American health care is nothing like the NHS.

My father visited in the mid-seventies and had to see a doctor while he was here (to administer his monthly B-12 shot). We took him to a state hospital clinic where he didn't have to wait very long and enjoyed a cheerful, comfortable waiting room (with current nonmedical magazines!), was given excellent care and respect, and was charged $5 (sliding scale). He never stopped talking about that clinic visit.
