| Last week, First Lady Michelle Obama sounded a battle cry at a Congressional Black Caucus awards dinner when she said protecting the right to vote is the nation’s most important civil rights issue. If that were true, that would mean there no credible civil rights concerns in the country. What Obama was talking about was the effort by Democrats to prevent the implementation of laws requiring voters to present a photo ID when casting their ballots. The common sense measure has the support of the overwhelming majority of Americans.

Common sense. Gayle Schlossberg is my state senator here in Ct. She voted along with all the Dems in Hartford to permit same day registration and you do not need a photo id. You need a current electric bill or some such nonsense. Please tell me what is so disenfranchising about presenting a photo ID when you vote? You need it to buy sudafed....no one is complaining about that!! My head is ready to explode.

It is so insulting that the Obamas et al think the people they are talking to are stupid enough to believe their garbage. They treat everyone as pawns in their game to destroy this country. Some are shaking the enchantment out of their eyes and seeing reality. Romney by a landslide.

I just received a pamphlet about presenting ID to vote in Virginia. Yes, you must show ID. One of the accepted forms of ID is a concealed carry permit. I love my state!

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation´s chief law enforcement officer, returned to the courthouse where he once served as a judge, this time in the role of prospective juror performing his civic duty. The Justice Department said Holder wasn´t chosen and that he won´t be called back. Had he been selected for the jury Tuesday, the attorney general would have been on a panel hearing an armed robbery case. Holder sat in the last row of Judge Stuart Nash´s courtroom along with other prospective jurors as the judge gave details of the case.

MSNBC´s programming became almost entirely full of commentary and opinion in 2012, while "factual reporting" saw almost no airtime, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. The report, which is part of Pew´s annual comprehensive State of the News Media, found that opinion and commentary fill 85 percent of the airtime on MSNBC. Former Gov. Jim McGreevey’s life is about to get the HBO treatment. The premium network later this month will air a documentary called "Fall to Grace" on McGreevey’s resignation as governor and his “redemption and transformation” while studying to become an Episcopal priest and working to help female inmates, according to a press release from HBO. The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

An Ohio woman filed a $25,000 lawsuit against her employer, alleging she was fired for voting for President Obama. Patricia Kunkle of Kettering, Ohio, claimed that Dayton-based Q-Mark, Inc., threatened to fire employees of the defense contractor if Obama won re-election, with the president’s supporters to be the first to receive pink slips, the Dayton Daily News reported. Kunkle said she had a conversation the day after Election Day that indicated she voted for Obama. She was fired three days later.

A meeting between the new U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart will take place next week in German capital Berlin. Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have agreed to meet in Berlin on February 26, US State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland said in a statement on Thursday. "Secretary Kerry and Foreign Minister Lavrov will discuss a wide range of bilateral and international issues," she added. The statement did not specify the agenda of talks. It will be Kerry´s first meeting with Lavrov in his new capacity as US Secretary of State.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion.
