Romney Vindicated: On Libya, Obama
Shot First, Didn't Ask Questions

American Spectator, by P.J. Freire

President Obama accused Mitt Romney of shooting first and asking questions later when responding to violence unfolding in the Middle East. But a quick review of the timeline, and the White House's "evolving" explanation for the attacks on the Benghazi consulate are beginning to make it clear that Obama's the one who's guilty of speaking too soon. “Let’s be clear, these protests were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Sept. 14. Secretary Clinton, during the transfer of remains ceremony the same day: "We’ve seen rage and violence directed

This is so typical of the "quick" reaction time of the Romney campaign staff. How long has it been for them to decide to have some kick-back reaction?

Neither the Mulatto Kid nor PIAPS wanted to take credit for the death of an ambassador so they came up with the video story to try to vindicate themselves.

Again, I say, if their mouth is open, they are lying. Both of them are incompetents who couldn't find their way out of a paper bag if given directions.

Obama did not speak without knowing the answers. He flat out lied, hoping the American people would never learn the truth.

WORCESTER – The body of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect killed in a shootout with police now lies in a Main South funeral home long known for burying the poor, loners and the unwanted. "I´m not honoring a terrorist. I´m just burying a body," said Peter Stefan, owner of Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors. Tamerlan Tsarnaev´s uncle, Ruslan Tsarni of Maryland, arrived at the Worcester funeral home yesterday afternoon to work with Mr. Stefan on funeral arrangements after authorities released the body. Mr. Stefan said plans for the funeral of the alleged bomber

Amid revelations that alleged Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was attending UMass Dartmouth despite an outstanding bill of more than $20,000, the college said that students can remain enrolled without full payment if loans and financial aid are expected to come through. A university spokesman declined to discuss the Tsarnaev situation in particular, citing federal privacy law. But he said students in certain circumstances may continue their classes with significant bills for tuition and room and board. “A student who has an outstanding bill in general would still be allowed to register if they can document extenuating circumstances,” said John Hoey,

Five years ago, Charlaine Harris tried to kill Bill Compton, a handsome, brooding vampire in her best-selling supernatural mystery series. She fatally wounded him with a sword in book nine. But her editor fought back. HBO was launching "True Blood," a TV show based on Ms. Harris´s books. Killing off a main character and romantic lead could damage the franchise at a moment when millions of new readers were discovering it. Ms. Harris rewrote the scene. Bill got bitten and poisoned, but stayed undead for four more books. It paid off.

Will Congress’ Sloppy Work

Right from the start of the oral argument on February 27, Supreme Court Justices Sotomayor and Kagan jumped on Shelby County’s lawyer asking why Congress didn’t have good reason to keep Alabama and Shelby County in the doghouse known as Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. One sound answer is that, even if Shelby County and Alabama are sitting ducks for Congress, that can’t be done with the formula now in the statute. The statutory formula looks at whether a jurisdiction used tests and devices to keep voter participation down and had voter registration and turnout below 50%

President Barack Obama’s man in North Dakota couldn’t pitch in to help shame Sen. Heidi Heitkamp for her vote against gun control — he was busy with his new job selling Toyotas. Organizing for Action’s top Montana official wouldn’t canvass the state to turn up the heat on Sen. Max Baucus because there was no reimbursement for the gas money. Alaska Sens. Mark Begich and Lisa Murkowski haven’t had to worry about running up against OFA’s influence there, since Obama’s former state director there has turned back to building up her own political consulting business —

Why the Immigration

Paul has written about efforts to “fix” the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill by both the left and the right. In my view, the bill is flawed at its core, in multiple ways, and efforts to improve it are misguided. It cannot serve as a template for workable legislation. Here is why: 1. No bill that contains the word “comprehensive” in its title should be enacted. Sound legislation can be read and understood by a person of good intelligence. The 844-page “comprehensive immigration reform act” cannot be read and understood by anyone. Its advocates and detractors argue

One hundred days into his second term, where do President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party stand? Nowhere good. Taxes are up on the wealthiest 2 percent of taxpayers, but the Bush tax rates remain the same for the other 98 percent. And the Alternative Minimum Tax has been indexed for inflation. Permanently. Obama’s second-term cabinet picks have been or are in the process of being confirmed. The most contentious choice, Chuck Hagel, won the support of only four Republicans after delivering what is widely regarded as the worst performance at a confirmation hearing in modern memory.

Two weeks ago, if they call 911 after they get the infamous “lol” text from Junior Terrorist, Sean Collier is alive today. By April 1863, America’s Civil War was two years old and there were two more years of fighting ahead though, of course, none could know this. What everyone did know was that the war was violent and bloody beyond what anyone had expected or would have believed the nation (or two nations) could endure. Neither side was at the point of exhaustion or surrender. The war would certainly go on until .??.??. what? Nobody quite knew, though an insight of President Abraham Lincoln’s pointed to the brutal truth. His Army of the Potomac, under the command of General Ambrose Burnside,

As the White House mulls whether Syria has crossed President Obama’s red line and used chemical weapons, the U.S. military and intelligence community are quietly acknowledging that the United States does not know where many of those weapons are located. The judgment comes from top U.S. military commanders and is supported by recent intelligence community assessments, according to three U.S. officials who work closely on Syrian intelligence matters. At the heart of the concern is that the Syrian military has transferred more and more of its stock of sarin and mustard gas from storage sites to trucks

Eight months after an attack that left four Americans dead, this is all the FBI has?(Snip for graphic)These grainy photos are obviously from security cameras posted at or near the scene of the attack. The images are sufficiently grainy that it’s difficult to discern any close details of the individuals in them. Next week, the Senate will begin making changes to and, hopefully, improve the immigration-reform legislation I introduced with several colleagues last month. This part of the process is a chance to fix America´s broken immigration system and end today´s de facto amnesty for those who live here illegally. It will also show that Washington can work when leaders listen to the American people and invoke their wisdom in debates and legislative work. In January, I outlined my principles for conservative immigration reform in these pages—principles that guided the drafting of this legislation.

When Republicans woke up to defeat on Election Day 2012, it was clear that they had been outfoxed and outmaneuvered by President Obama and his campaign. Now it´s clear why. Under the political radar, Team Obama made an unprecedented effort to understand the voters and speak their language, slicing and dicing the electorate with a sophistication and savvy that the Republicans couldn´t match and are still scrambling to replicate. The result was the rebuilding and in some cases expansion of Obama´s original coalition from 2008, and a remarkable comprehension of what really motivated voters in 2012.

Reid on Wednesday afternoon stood by comments he made on the Senate floor last week comparing Tea Party-affiliated Republicans to 19th century American anarchists. “I believe that, my experience with the Tea Party is that they are against government in any form. They throw monkey wrenches into the government,” Reid said during an interview on the Rusty Humphries Show.
