‘Bipartisan’ Board Donates
to Dems Overwhelmingly

Washington Free Beacon, by Andrew Evans

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Consumer Advisory Board, which meets Thursday for the first time in St. Louis, contains numerous Democratic donors, including a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The CFPB—a controversial organization with massive oversight powers over financial institutions and little accountability that was created as part of the Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation—announced the members of the board on Sept. 12. CFPB director Richard Cordray said in a statement, “This group of experts truly represents the interests of the diverse people and communities we serve.” The board is not nearly as politically diverse as

Comments:
This is another extremely dangerous board (much like the IPAB death panel) created by the Marxists in Washington under Dodd-Frank. It removed Congress’s appropriations power over the bureau, and narrowed judicial review over its rule-making. That makes for some major mischief from this board. Cordray was another one of 0bama's recess appointments.

Our financial institutions have been nationalized. Anyone owning shares in a financial institution should dispose of them because shareholders interest is no longer a factor in the running of these institutions. They are directed by the political authorities.

The Republicans should defund this Board and repeal Dodd Frank- two of the biggest crooks in the Congress.
Remember - the ethically challenged Elizabeth Warren was in DC poised to become the Chairman of this Board.
The corruption/socialists has been turbo-charged under Obama.
OBamacare and Dodd Frank MUST be repealed.
The House must defund these groups.

Disgraced former Democratic New York Rep. Anthony Weiner said he’s a solid businessman with a family income that’s in the $500,000 range – and that he’s worth a lot more. “I make far less money than I should,” said the shamed pol who quit Congress after tweeting photos of his private parts. He made the claim in a recent New York Times profile, when he disclosed his family pay – his and his wife’s, Huma Abedin – was $496,000 last year. Mr. Weiner has been trying to rehabilitate his image in hopes of relaunching his political

The immigration bill introduced to the Senate a week and a half ago would, if passed, allow illegal immigrants to access state and local welfare benefits immediately, Breitbart News has learned. The financial impact of allowing potentially millions of immigrants onto state and local public assistance could overwhelm these programs´ budgets. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) uncovered this loophole in the bill and many others, and he will circulate a memo detailing the gaps in the bill on Tuesday. Breitbart News exclusively obtained a copy of the memo before its public release.

The full press conference, the first one Mr. Obama has held since mid-January, will likely focus on the administration’s new efforts to respond to concern over the difficulty of implementing the Affordable Care Act, the president’s signature legislative achievement. The administration Tuesday morning is set to unveil shorter forms for individuals to sign up for insurance under the 2010 health care law.

Many college grads lack interview skills. They take calls, text and sometimes bring their parents or pets to interviews. HR execs blame a coddled generation weaned on smartphones and social media. Newly minted college graduates soon entering the job market could be facing another hurdle besides high unemployment and a sluggish economy. Hiring managers say many perform poorly — sometimes even bizarrely — in job interviews. Human resource professionals say they´ve seen recent college grads text or take calls in interviews, dress inappropriately, use slang or overly casual language and exhibit other oddball behavior.

Pension costs have caused several recent high-profile municipal bankruptcies recently, so other cities are trying to avoid suffering similar disasters by asking employees to begin paying part of their pension costs. In Sacramento, Calif., City Manager John Shirey said today he will hire 58 new police officers only if current officers agree to pay the employee share of their pension payments. The police union is one of few groups of employees in the city who don’t pay any of their own pension costs, according to the Sacramento Bee. Most public pension plans are set up with a set

Over five years after Barack Obama won the Iowa caucuses and demolished the notion that white voters wouldn’t support a black presidential candidate, progress for other African-American politicians remains elusive. Even as the country elected and re-elected Obama, making it seem increasingly unremarkable to have a black family in the White House, African-Americans are scarce and bordering on extinct in the U.S. Senate and governorships. The president is indeed exceptional - but in the wrong sense of the phrase as it applies to other black politicians. Consider what has taken place, or not taken place,

Several House Democrats are calling on Congress to recognize that climate change is hurting women more than men, and could even drive poor women to "transactional sex" for survival. The resolution, from Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) and a dozen other Democrats, says the results of climate change include drought and reduced agricultural output. It says these changes can be particularly harmful for women. "[F]ood insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health,"

Had people voted last November at the same rates they did in 2004, when black turnout was below its current historic levels, Republican Mitt Romney would have won narrowly, according to an analysis conducted for The Associated Press. In the lore of the ancient Romans, Horatius was a soldier who single-handedly fought off an invading army. The Etruscans had attacked in order to impose a despot on Rome and, by holding them back while his comrades destroyed the bridge that was the only practical route to the city, this single warrior saved the free republic. Obamacare is certainly the bridge via which the forces of despotism plan to “fundamentally transform” the United States, and a decorated Iraq veteran named Matt Sissel may be the Horatius who prevents them from crossing.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons released its latest cosmetic and resconstructive surgery statistics on Monday. Many of the trends were familiar. In all, the group reported, Americans underwent 1.6 million cosmetic surgeries, including face-lifts, liposuction and rhinoplasty; 13 million minimally invasive procedures (think Botox injections) and 5.6 million reconstructive procedures (including tumor removal and scar revision). People in the U.S. spent $11 billion on the cosmetic procedures alone. Once again, for the seventh year in a row, breast augmentation was the most popular form of cosmetic surgery, with 286,000 operations performed.
