Lawmakers 'suspicious'
administration 'trying to

Fresh claims that U.S. intelligence officials knew practically from the start that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was terrorism possibly tied to Al Qaeda have lawmakers alleging they were misled and questioning whether the administration has something to hide. "This is turning into something not short of Benghazi-gate," Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., told Fox News, adding he's "very suspicious" about the way the administration has handled this. Two senior U.S. officials told Fox News on Thursday that U.S. intelligence officials knew within 24 hours of the assault that it was

Fox News was the first and is still out front in looking into this even though others are starting the coverage for CYA purposes. Today on Special Report, Judge Napolitano was angry and adamant. He said the failure to provide extra protection to the Consulate when they had indications of possible attacks in connection with 9/11 and now the failure to send FBI to secure the scene amounts to criminal negligence. I'm sure he doesn't throw that term around lightly.

Is there info out there proving that Obama had armed the rebels who just happened to be Al Qaeda? How embarrassing. Was it our bullets that killed our ambassador?

Of course they lied. They didn't want to be blamed for negligence nor the possibility that it was Obama's boasting Osama was dead under his watch, that could have incited the act. He's got an election to worry about you know.

Are Fast and Furious guns Part II what they are hiding? Shillary looked grey over the whole attack and I don't think it was due to sympathy for the fallen Americans.

There was a definitive lead early on with a giant calling card attached. al zawahiri's video. Obama had to ignore that because he killed bin laden and wiped out al qaeda.

One of the former seals who was killed was in country for the specific task of locating and destroying weapons.

...someone needs to be suspicious...the two Seals murdered were more than likely CIA. I understand they were there looking for weapons. Stevens' history suggests he as well did work for the agency...

...considering how quick the lies started, #3 has a good point. Were they killed by weapons supplied by us that they weren't going to give up?...

It was That Movie! OK, you don't like that one. Just kidding. It was Al Qaeda!

So, if it was Al Qaeda, why was the producer of That Movie just arrested by the FBI?

Haven't heard so many contradictory stories from the White House since we got the first after action reports from the bin Laden raid.

Do an internet search on 'Libya's missing weapons'. The people we helped topple Qadaffi are probably armed to the teeth, and now coming after us.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.– The Inman Square section of Cambridge feels like a small town, with a mix of students and immigrants living in blocks of triple-decker houses, a Boston classic. But on Friday morning, the calm of the neighborhood was shattered. At 8 a.m., police rousted residents from bed, ordering them to evacuate. The brothers Tsarnaev, suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings, lived on Norfolk Street. Police cordoned off the area in a two-block radius and were reportedly searching their apartment for explosives. Crowds of residents, clustered at barricades, kept a nervous watch of the police activity. Before noon, police

Who says beauty doesn´t come with age? Former President George H.W. Bush proved the two go hand in hand after being tapped to announce the 2013 cheerleading squad for the Houston Texans football team. The 88-year-old Bush was all smiles as he hand-delivered roses to the team’s newly selected cheerleaders at the Texans’ training facility in Houston. The frail former leader remained in a wheelchair for the event, but flashed an ear-to-ear grin and American-flag socks that matched the skimpy garments of the cheerleaders as he posed for photos with the bevy of bouncy beauties surrounding him.

One of the brothers suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon faced deportation in 2009 after being convicted of a domestic violence charge but was allowed to stay, according to a government watchdog. “Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the 26-year-old killed in a wild shootout with police, was a legal U.S. resident who never the less could have been removed from the country after a 2009 domestic violence conviction,” Judicial Watch reports based on an unnamed source. More than 500 people were killed in Chicago last year. Yet Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel still found time to berate the fast-food franchise Chick-fil-A for not sharing “Chicago values” apparently because its founder does not approve of same-sex marriage. Two states have legalized marijuana, with more to come. Yet social taboos against tobacco smoking make it nearly impossible to light up a cigarette in public places. Marijuana, like alcohol, causes far greater short-term impairment than does nicotine. But legal cigarette smoking is now seen as a corporate-sponsored, uncool and dirty habit that leads to long-term health costs for society

Yesterday, the most modest of gun control proposals died in the Senate. It would have expanded background checks to people purchasing weapons at gun shows and online sales, enjoyed 90 per cent support among the public and came on the back of the tragedy at Newtown. Yet, despite all that it had going for it, the Toomey-Manchin bill raised just 54 votes--six short of the number necessary for passage. “This is a pretty shameful day for Washington,” said Obama afterwards. It wasn’t exactly a red letter day for him, either. Why did the no-brainer bill fail? Four reasons:

While the media are bearing the brunt of public skepticism over the handling of the Boston bombing, the behavior of government is also eroding public trust. Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom. Andrew McCarthy of PJM notes that "Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday´s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon," and that part of it is the natural outgrowth of the desire of investigators to keep the details of their investigations secret, so as not to alert suspects.

Mark Kelly, the astronaut husband of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, on Thursday upbraided senators who voted against gun legislation by saying they voted “out of fear.” ”If that vote had been a secret ballot, I bet you it would have passed with 80 votes,” Kelly told reporters. He was referencing the compromise authored by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) to expand background checks for gun buyers. It failed to advance in the Senate, with a vote Wednesday afternoon of 54 to 46.
