Busy schedule forces President
Obama to cancel mock debates
with John Kerry, stand-in for Mitt Romney

WASHINGTON -- President Obama has been forced to cancel several debate practice sessions with Senator John F. Kerry, whom he tapped to play stand-in for Republican challenger Mitt Romney, leaving little time for them to spar ahead of next week’s first presidential debate. The Massachusetts senator has held at least one mock debate with Obama to help him prepare for the first matchup against the former Massachusetts governor to be held Oct. 3 in Denver, but several others were cancelled due to the the president’s busy schedule, said deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter.

Comments:
Skipping intelligence briefings, failing to meet with world leaders, blowing off our closest allies, spamming his supporters with desperate pleas for cash, sending out his rotund unkempt Sect. of State - Madam Hillary - to meet with other heads of state and now canceling debate prep. with Viet Nam war hero Lieut. Flapjack Kerry.
Not to mention the gigantic lie they were just caught in re: the 9/11 terror attack.....

Whose campaign is in trouble??

Just another way to set low expectations for the debates - too busy saving the country, the world, the ratings of the View, whatever.

The president doesn't do well without his teleprompter and back stage helpers frantically feeding him the answers to questions. Expect to see a tiny wire from his ear to the little receiver in his back pocket. The giveaway will be pauses after he is asked to explain something. He has to wait for the answers to feed into the hidden ear bud.

#3: he's also providing the questions for the moderators. Romney's going to be playing against a stacked deck. It won't even matter that it will be obvious, they're desperate and they'll do it just to help their anointed one over the finish line.

I remember in the 2004 debates Kerry said "If I had been president, I would have gotten our allies to fight the Iraq war for us", or some such BS.

Bush was floored. How does a real human being respond to such absolute BS?

Get ready, Romney, to say something like "anybody can SAY anything, but your record says you couldn't do it."

That is what I believe Obama has been doping with and why he acts so unhinged when not at scheduled events.

Between Obama's campaigning, fund raisers with Beyonce and the rest of Hollywood stars, and golf outings and Jon Cary's (who, by the way, served in Vietnam) windsurfing trips, driving down to Rhode Island for a yacht trip (saves those pesky taxes that the little people pay)and helping lovey soak the raisins in rum, I can see where it would be tough for the two of them to find dates both were open to have mock debates.

I hope they're checked for earbuds. I'm not concerned about Romney, can't wait for the Ryan /Biden debate...but Barak he's not one to play on a level field.

I'm not as worried about earbuds, #21, as I am about Obama's team getting questions planted. With the MSM so firmly in his corner, I don't think it would be all that difficult to "suggest" a type of question that would be welcomed.

This accusation has been made against Obama in the 2008 debates.

I have to agree with posters thinking Øbama will cancel at the last minute. He is exhausted- his appearances have been practically non-stop. Every one of them takes a tremendous amount of energy- even for a nut-job like Øbama. He lives in a sea of personal fear, insecure about his own ability to think quickly on his feet. Without his teleprompter security blankey, he will be a nervous wreck. The reason for cancelling the meetings with Kerry tells me he has another plan. Reading the book about his and his obsessive/compulsive disorder, I just can't imagine that he will appear. I strongly suspect either a fabricated national crisis, or a sudden "1st family" health crisis will be the prime excuse for cancelling.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. Ever since the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. compound in that Libyan city, Republicans have obsessed over the episode. Mitt Romney made Benghazi a favorite talking point in the 2012 campaign home stretch. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
