Warren Defender Admits She May
Have Needed MA Law License

Breitbart's Big Government, by Michael Patrick Leahy

Original Article

Today, it was reported that in 2001 Elizabeth Warren represented a Massachusetts client in a Massachusetts Federal Courtroom in a case that involved Massachusetts law without a license to practice law in Massachusetts. The case was heard before the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston, and was titled Cadle Company v. Schlichtmann. Blogger Mark Thompson at the League of Ordinary Gentlemen, who had been Ms. Warren's most ardent defender until this new revelation, has changed his mind about Professor William Jacobson's argument that Ms. Warren has engaged in the unlicensed practice of

To think this unlicensed fraud held so much respect with the lefties that she contributed to ObamaCare and a host of other legislation - it boggles the mind. Lefties accept people like her even though they lie to the point where one would question their sanity. They accept them even though they commit any number of crimes against the groups lefties purport to protect - women and minorities.

Some general ideas in the Democrat party actually seem good, but after any degree of examination, they fall apart. I could never be a Democrat. I just don't understand them, and I never will.

Stick a fork in her. Losing the election is the least of her worries now.

What do you expect? It's a DemocRAT gene. Besides...What's a license? It's only a piece of paper! I'm surprised Warren didn't photoshop an authentic license and just change the name and date. I hear you can do that with birth certificates.

#5, I agree. I have tried so hard to understand Democrats and how they think. I have done everything humanly possible to figure out how they could possibly believe the Democrat Party line. I can't. Not for the life of me! There is just NO WAY their side makes any sense at all to me. I think one would have to be very, VERY ignorant and very gullible to be a Democrat--especially in this day and age. Either that, or they have to be very evil and manipulative. Either way, I couldn't ever be one.

There is no such thing as a national licence for anything. Each state requires licensed professionals to have a license from that particular state. A surgeon, lawyer, therapist, nurse, contractor, etc. all must have a license to practice in the state they are going to work. You either take the exams from that state (not the usual practice in most professions) or apply for 'reciprocity' which simply means that state recognizes your previous license from whatever state.

If true, what she did is illegal and is deserving of censure from where she is licensed and should face disbarrment. If I were Scott, I would pursue that angle first. There should be an immediate filing for re-trial of Cadle Company v. Schlichtmann (regardless of case outcome or details). The case was handled by an unlicensed attorney. The repercussions should be vast.

''Does she even have any current law License?''

No, she gave up her NJ licence as she couldn't be bothered with the continuing Ed requirements.

However, being 1/64th Native American, she is not subject to state licencing laws - and can thus practice law any dang place she wishes. In fact, if she chose to, Mizz Lizzie could sell tax-free cigarettes from her back porch.

Reply 21 - Posted by: EQKimball, 9/27/2012 6:26:17 PM     (No. 8894663)

In order to appear in a U.S. District Court, the lawyer must be admitted by that district. In order to to be admitted, the lawyer must apply to the district court clerk, indicating that he/she is licensed in the state of that district (Massachusetts). A lawyer with a license in New Jersey, however, may appear in a district court in Massachusetts by applying to that court for permission to appear pro hac vice, meaning for that case. The attorney applying for the application must be sponsored by an attorney admitted in the host jurisdiction. If Ms. Warren had been licensed in New Jersey at the time she appeared in Massachusetts, she still needed to apply to appear pro hac vice. If she did not, she violated USDC District of Massachusetts Local Rule 83.5.3.

Good point #21. I think she is a hypocrite and a certified moonbat but as she was licensed in New Jersey (she just gave that up due to, she states "burden of continuing education requirements") I expect she was legal in her standing in Federal Court. Who she was representing might be of greater political impact.

MIAMI -- Lilly Pulitzer hosted parties in her bare feet and wasn´t afraid to get a little messy - just as long as she looked good and had fun, too. In the late 1950s, the Palm Beach socialite had time to spare and a wealthy husband who owned citrus groves, so she opened an orange juice stand just off the island´s main shopping street. Pulitzer needed to hide all the juice stains on her clothes, though. Instead of just putting on an apron, she asked her seamstress to make some sleeveless dresses

An attempt by Colorado lawmakers to ban welfare recipients from withdrawing their benefits at ATMs located inside strip clubs was killed by Democrats Thursday night, even though the state House’s third-ranking Democratic legislator supported the measure. Democratic Rep. Pabon introduced a bill on the issue two years ago, but it didn’t clear the state Senate. State welfare recipients receive their benefits

Add the name of Michelle Lynne (ne Robert) Kosilek to the list of modern phenomena the Founding Fathers would definitely not appreciate being blamed for. Little did they know what havoc they would someday wreak by adding the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit “cruel and unusual punishment.” Now comes Kosilek, a convicted wife murderer doing life without parole. He/she is claiming that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him/her a sex-change operation — excuse me, “gender-reassignment surgery.”Not to get too graphic, but Kosilek is begging for elective amputation of a body part.

Two very bad and extremely dangerous economic developments happened yesterday — and Wall Street appeared to miss both of them. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 40.86 points to 14565.25 after the Labor Department announced that the seasonally adjusted number of new jobs created in March was just 88,000 — far below the 190,000 or so Wall Street expected. The March figure was also less than one-third the number of jobs created during February. This led to the misperception that the job market tanked in March. It didn’t.

Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
