| Obama is out in plain sight before Americans and the rest of the world. There is no mystery. Nothing to uncover. He has intentionally taken America down. His most recent proclamation at the United Nations that "the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" says it all, doesn't it? There is nothing vague about that comment. He unequivocally promoted Sharia law and gutted our First Amendment rights. (Of course the two go hand in hand.) Do we really need Obama to unseal his records?

It's such a tremendously sad episode in American history. We don't need to know any more as far as voting for him goes, but we do need to know all about what has hit us.

Let’s take a step back and recognize the breadth and width of the Obama administration’s assault on the US economy. We tend to divide ourselves along economic lines, upper, middle and lower or working class. It’s clear that Barack Obama has a plan for all three levels. If you’re a top earner, in his mind you’ve “made enough money” and should pay more in taxes. That’s his plan for the wealthy: Pay more taxes. This will take some money out of investments and companies and send it to the government. Some jobs will be either lost or aborted.

One of the least remarked upon aspects of President Obama’s inaugural speech was his attempt to co-opt the Founding Fathers’ Declaration of Independence to bolster his liberal-left agenda. Sure, the president quoted one of the most important sentences in world history: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” So far, so good.

In college I read a novel called The Last of the Just by André Schwarz-Bart inspired by a legend/theory from the Talmud — that there are thirty-six righteous souls (the Lamed Vav) in every generation whose existence justifies “the purpose of mankind” to God. Being just weeks away from reaching our debt ceiling and with frightening talk about a fiscal cliff, there´s much sympathy in Washington for tax increases. Even conservatives are wavering. A few Republicans have dumped their anti-tax pledges, and former Nixon official-turned-actor Ben Stein favors taxing the wealthy. He says that we can´t cut our way to a balanced budget and insists that the revenue end must be addressed. But I have news for him: he´ll have a better chance finding Ferris Bueller on his day off than he will locating fiscal sanity through tax increases.

Do you remember the tale of "The Gingerbread Man"? It´s a children´s story in which a gingerbread man runs away from the baker, lots of people try to catch him as he crows, "Run, run as fast as you can/ You can´t catch me I´m the gingerbread man." In the version I remember a fox finally does catch the braggart and eats him piece by piece. This week, in defending the public statements of his UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Obama said we should come after him, not her. Pugnacious remark -- just like the gingerbread man´s.

I have never been so unhappy to be right. I've long said that Barack Obama would win re-election, and two weeks ago I stated as much in print. In making this prediction, I was almost alone among traditionalist pundits, with some, such as Dick Morris (Mr. Batting Zero), actually forecasting a Mitt Romney landslide. And, no, I'm not pointing this out to numb despair with some perverse kind of gloating, like a man consumed in flames looking to suck on an ice cube. It's because of why I knew that Romney would lose: America is lost.

In January of 2009, when President Obama took office, the unemployment rate was 7.8%. Four years and around $5 trillion dollars in debt later, it's 7.9%. When Obama took office the long-term unemployment (U-6) rate was 14.2%. Today, it's 14.6%. Obama promised us 5.2%. And, still, the media celebrates the jobs numbers. The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
