| Late-night comedian Conan O'Brien apparently thinks asking the President of the United States a serious question is something to ridicule. Or maybe it wasn't the question, but just the fact that it was a well-known conservative who posed the inoffensive query. As President Obama has allowed only one puffball interview after another, avoiding as many serious questions he can, he was nonetheless asked a mild but probing question by Elisabeth Hasselbeck of ABC's "The View." The gall of someone actually asking a serious question of the President was too much for O'Brien to bear.

Comments: The mind-rot, bad faith and bad intentions of the "progressive" Left on full, repulsive display. Has to be seen to be believed. These people have no intention whatsoever of doing what is best for the nation on November 6, and we'd better wake up to that.

I thought it was show BUSINESS. What sane business gratuitously offends and eliminates a large portion of their potential customer base. After a pattern of political cheap shots, or snarky secular slurs at Christianity in the script, we've written off shows and performers. Some shows we used to not miss, we now don't miss at all. Real smart, Conan O'Brain and the rest of them. Like the news biz, a lot of these characters really perform for their peers and their peers approval. (Hence all the award shows.) So let them do so.

#6, it was a fairly long question, but was about whether Obama had failed the middle class. It's worth watching the clip if you have the stomach for the minute or so. They are SO unctuous.

Conan still has a job? Who knew? This essay should have mentioned what she said. In the clip Hasselbeck's question was long and somewhat convoluted. But she was asking Obama to directly respond to the fact that the unemployment situation is getting a lot worse under his reign. He ignored her and made a joke.

The hyperliberal O'Brian apparently could not follow the question and he missed the insight that by avoiding the question BHO thinks millions of Americans forced into unemployment is a setup for a JOKE. O'Brian had an Ivy League education and has made millions from the entertainment industry, but the simpleton is so filled with liberal bile that the best he could do for witty observation was to rant about Elizabeth's credentials for celebrity. There is a documentary about this tall freak and I guess he comes across as a mean, little, child. I guess he is popular with those type of people. The one's that set off his rant with a boo when he mentioned the fact that someone dared to ask this President to address one of his proven failures.

Let’s take a step back and recognize the breadth and width of the Obama administration’s assault on the US economy. We tend to divide ourselves along economic lines, upper, middle and lower or working class. It’s clear that Barack Obama has a plan for all three levels. If you’re a top earner, in his mind you’ve “made enough money” and should pay more in taxes. That’s his plan for the wealthy: Pay more taxes. This will take some money out of investments and companies and send it to the government. Some jobs will be either lost or aborted.

Do you remember the tale of "The Gingerbread Man"? It´s a children´s story in which a gingerbread man runs away from the baker, lots of people try to catch him as he crows, "Run, run as fast as you can/ You can´t catch me I´m the gingerbread man." In the version I remember a fox finally does catch the braggart and eats him piece by piece. This week, in defending the public statements of his UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Obama said we should come after him, not her. Pugnacious remark -- just like the gingerbread man´s.

I have never been so unhappy to be right. I've long said that Barack Obama would win re-election, and two weeks ago I stated as much in print. In making this prediction, I was almost alone among traditionalist pundits, with some, such as Dick Morris (Mr. Batting Zero), actually forecasting a Mitt Romney landslide. And, no, I'm not pointing this out to numb despair with some perverse kind of gloating, like a man consumed in flames looking to suck on an ice cube. It's because of why I knew that Romney would lose: America is lost.

In January of 2009, when President Obama took office, the unemployment rate was 7.8%. Four years and around $5 trillion dollars in debt later, it's 7.9%. When Obama took office the long-term unemployment (U-6) rate was 14.2%. Today, it's 14.6%. Obama promised us 5.2%. And, still, the media celebrates the jobs numbers. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs.
