What is happening is the pollsters are beginning to unwind their polls. They realize the Republicans are having none of it and and are not backing down

If they persist in claiming Obama is up 2 when he is down 9 they will not have a job in December and they know it

So they start with the Senate races to let you know it is tightening Then they will say Obama's momentous has stalled or claim the race is too close to call.

They are trying save face at this point

The Dems and their MSM supporters are doing anything they can to skew the electorate into believing they are winning. Most pollsters are liars.

What i don't get about this whole election is there was a republican thrashing of dems in 2010 and things have gotten worse due to Obama's overall policies but somehow the dems are poised for a big comeback. The left blames the 2010 debacle on not having Obama at the top of the ticket to increase liberal turnout.

The reverse could actually happen in this election where the negative turnout on Obama could affect down ticket races.

I don't think Scott Walker would have won with standard republican voters only. He won with a mass influx of new voters from the tea party ranks.

The polling paradigm is outdated because people are loathe to change,so we get conventional horse race results in current polls.

Obama has thrown around at least an extra $6 trillion since being elected and the average income has gone down.It's almost impossible to be this incompetent and reckless spending money but Obama has accomplished it. Our backs are to the wall on debt now because of all the new freebies and people getting on disability with a hangnail.

My astute colleague in HK (#1) is correct, and we have seen this before in 2000, 2004, 2008 and the 2010 elections, if memory serves.

Casey is running an ad accusing SMith of being a tea party person. Of course, Smith is exactly that, which will be a positive for most of Pennsylvania except philadelphia phraudsters. And the ad lies about ending medicare, and actually shows a picture of Smith embossed on a tea cup. It is childish.

Smith, on the other hand, is running an ad that says Casey, in his six years in the senate, has not introduced one bill, which is true. (Casey, using his late father's reputation, is lazy as all getout. He served as state auditor, but audits didn't happen. And he served as state treasurer, and phoned it in.)

Quinnipiac polls are totally fabricated and false.
Their methodology assumes more people will vote Dem than in 2008--despite the results of 2010 election and increased Repub voter registration.
Their methodology has been publicly challenged by poll experts, and their spokesman's response was to double down on stupid.
Q polls are a disgrace and should be ignored.
And the irony here is that Quinnipiac is an allegedly Catholic college.

2010 was a turnout election for republicans, they won a number of close senate and governor elections by a couple percentage points. They won't win the close ones this year because the dem turnout for obama will surge, but certainly not like 2008 (as many of the polls are based on). Casey deserves to lose, but I don't feel hopeful for Pa.

The campaign ads against Casey show him as Senator Zero. He is a most useful Demonrat idiot for Obammi, backs him on everything, even the killing of coal. Pa miners should be smart enough to vote him out of office.

I read a recent poll that said there was only a 4 point spread between the Conservative Tom Smith and the communist Casey. Lots of farmers in Pa. are supporting Tom Smith, at least in my area.
