Marines accused of urinating on
Afghan bodies face court-martial

WASHINGTON — Two Marine noncommissioned officers will be court-martialed for allegedly urinating on the bodies of Taliban fighters last year in Afghanistan and posing for unofficial photos with casualties, the Marine Corps said Monday. The charges against Staff Sgt. Joseph W. Chamblin and Staff Sgt. Edward W. Deptola are in addition to administrative punishments announced last month for three other Marines for their role in the urination episode. The disclosure in January of a video showing four Marines in full combat gear urinating on the bodies of three dead men led to a criminal investigation

Comments:
Once again the Muslims win. Court-martial should only be reserved for the most heinous behavior or treason. This is a war not a tea party. It's a good thing we didn't have cellphone cameras and YouTube during World Wars I or II. The politically correct bunch would be in a constant state of apoplexy.

Dang. Should've just beheaded, dragged, and burned the bodies, instead -- following the example of Muslim treatment of dead enemy combatants.

Oh, I forgot the part about cutting off the corpse's genitals and stuffing it into his mouth. Or do they do that to our captured GI's before they kill them? So many desecrations, so little time.

I have to agree that urinating on them was a waste of time.

Now rubbing them down with pork fat, sewing them inside of dead pigs, and burying them where no other muslim can ever find them -- that would be a usefeul use of our military's time!!!

Now, unless ''face court-martial'' is the new way to say ''get big pretty medals and $10,000 bonuses'', them I don't understand this at all...

Did I read somewhere that the ammunition manufacturers are using a new type of lubricant in their loading machines to speedup the manufacture of new ammo? It had something to do with hog drippings. I know that when I was reloading my own ammo, I used bacon grease in the loading press and it worked real good. Much smoother stroke and lasted longer.

The revelation that the main suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were two Russian citizens of half-Chechen, half-Avar (Dagestani) ethnicity, has prompted Kremlin leaders to dust off a longstanding argument that the US should listen to Moscow´s warnings about extreme Islamist terrorists, whether they hail from Chechnya, or Syria, or anywhere else. The Russians say the US should turn away from its current path of criticizing Russia on human rights issues and embrace greater anti-terrorist cooperation in the name of common civilizational values. That pitch was made explicitly by President Vladimir Putin in a Saturday telephone conversation

Canadian authorities have broken up what is being described as a "major terrorist attack" that may have included targets there and in New York, Fox News has confirmed. Arrests could be announced as early as Monday afternoon, and sources said charging documents could be filed in federal court in New York. The plot is unrelated to the Boston Marathon attack, sources said. An official says there is no current credible threat to New York City. Earlier, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation said Canadian police and intelligence agencies were to announce multiple arrests after an operation to thwart the attack.

In debate classes or law school, it is often referred to as the ‘arguing against the non-existing opponent’ tactic. The way it works is you imply your opponent is making an outlandish, unsavory claim (though he isn’t), hoping others will run with it or, at worst, that your opponent won’t sufficiently correct it and the claim sticks. To illustrate, imagine Sally is arguing in favor of marijuana’s legalization against Tom. Because Massachusetts state law bars handgun ownership for those younger than 21, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, age 26, was the only brother who could have
