The big difference is that Barry is SUPPOSED to be the President of the United States. As such it is part of his JOB to meet with leaders of other countries.
Romney is not in such a position - YET! And if Romney does this in 4 yrs., first, I will be shocked, and second, the msm will have another collective hissy fit.

Dear Leader and his horrible wife were actually snuggling with The View "interviewers". Hate to be Capt Obvious here, but the fact that this show is influential demonstrates the perils of trusting females with the vote. Btw, Dana Milbank tried to write a straight piece. He made it about three lines in before it degenerated into the standard Pavlovian anti-Romney rant. Thank you, media...for nothing.

Ah, good ole Dana, covering for the big O.
"Look, look, Romney is on TV too!!"
The difference here Dana, is that O is the President, he should be attending to world matters, not serving as "eye candy" for the hags on The View.
Romney WANTS to be President, and because of sycophants like you and your disgusting brethren in the MSM, Romney HAS to go on these shows to refute your 24/7 smear campaign against him.

I was surprised t the headline when I saw the Dana Millbank byline....but of course he delivered the same garbage.
Romney is not the President, Obama is.
Given the world is in crisis, we girl would have "sacrificed" our "eye candy" (I barf just typing those words) and forgive him for skipping The View to attend to his JOB.

The first phantom absentee ballot request hit the Miami-Dade elections website at 9:11 p.m. Saturday, July 7. The next one came at 9:14. Then 9:17. 9:22. 9:24. 9:25. Within 2½ weeks, 2,552 online requests arrived from voters who had not applied for absentee ballots. They streamed in much too quickly for real people to be filling them out. They originated from only a handful of Internet Protocol addresses. And they were not random. It had all the appearances of a political dirty trick, a high-tech effort by an unknown hacker to sway three key Aug. 14 primary elections,

While giving Senate testimony regarding Benghazi on Feb. 7, Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta said Obama was not present nor did he communicate with the Sec. of Defense during the Benghazi attack. Panetta was answering questions from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) when he made it clear he had no communication with Obama outside the normal, "pre-scheduled" 5 p.m. meeting on September 11. When asked if Obama at least called to check in as the attack unfolded Panetta said "No." When asked if anyone from the White House called that night, Panetta said "No." According to Panetta, the President trusted that

Ann Arbor, Mich. - Want to see how quickly the look and business model of American public universities are changing? Visit a place like Indiana University. Five years ago, there were 87 undergraduates from China on its idyllic, All-American campus in Bloomington. This year: 2,224. New figures out Monday show international enrollment at U.S. colleges and universities grew nearly 6 percent last year, driven by a 23-percent increase from China, even as total enrollment was leveling out. But perhaps more revealing is where much of the growth is concentrated: big, public land-grant colleges, notably in the Midwest.

Washington - It´s not just the economy, stupid. It´s the demographics - the changing face of America. The 2012 elections drove home trends that have been embedded in the fine print of birth and death rates, immigration statistics and census charts for years. America is rapidly getting more diverse, and, more gradually, so is its electorate. Nonwhites made up 28 percent of the electorate this year, compared with 20 percent in 2000. Much of that growth is coming from Hispanics. The trend has worked to the advantage of President Barack Obama two elections in a row now and is not lost on Republicans

Banging on pots, tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Argentina yesterday to protest against a possible third term for President Cristina Kirchner. "Yes to democracy, no to re-election" chanted the flag-waving demonstrators, who also took issue with rampant corruption and crime in the South American country. (Snip) She succeeded her husband, Nestor, who died of a heart attack in 2010. She is currently barred by the Argentine constitution from running for a third consecutive term in 2015, but her supporters in congress have been lobbying for a constitutional amendment.

A Pennsylvania judge is issuing an order to reinstate Republican election officials across Philadelphia who allegedly were ejected or refused entry by on-site Democratic voting chief judges, GOP officials tell Fox News. One Republican official claimed that "just under 70" Republican election officials were blocked from Philadelphia polling sites Tuesday morning by Democrats on site. One of them, the official claimed, "was shoved out of the polling place." "For this many inspectors to be ejected from polling places is rare, even for Philadelphia," the official told FoxNews.com. Further, one polling site in Philadelphia apparently had a mural of President Obama

Even at a dinner dedicated to the Happy Warrior, the president seemed like the Unhappy Warrior. Barack Obama was elegant in white tie and got off some good gibes at the annual Al Smith charity banquet at the Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan on Thursday. (SNIP) “President Obama and I are each very lucky to have one person who is always in our corner, someone who we can lean on, and someone who is a comforting presence,” Romney said. “Without whom, we wouldn’t be able to go another day. I have my beautiful wife Ann, he has Bill Clinton.”

Housing construction numbers for September were “blowout” and “smashed consensus,” according to analysts who follow the sector. Single family starts rose 11 percent from August and are up nearly 43 percent from a year ago. This from the depths of the housing recession. Multi-family starts and permits, however, garnered a different headline: “Headline Risk as Data Cross 10-year Averages,” came the report from Cantor Fitzgerald. Building permits for multi-family buildings, which means five units or more, and which will be rental buildings, not condos, jumped 93.4 percent from a year ago to 323,000, which is above the 10-year average Source name corrected by staff

In 2011, the journalist Mara Hvistendahl published Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men, detailing the societal effects of sex-selective abortions that target women the world over and resulted in the absence of perhaps more than 100 million girls who by now should have been born. But Hvistendahl soon learned the downside to uncovering what many believe to be a shocking trend in human rights offenses: people will want to do something about it. And so she lashed out, declaring that “anti-abortion activists

Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson stepped down Wednesday as commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine after complaints from students about controversial comments concerning same-sex marriage. The withdrawal came less than a week after medical school Dean Paul B. Rothman chastised Carson for his comments and met with graduating students concerned that the famed physician was an inappropriate commencement speaker.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

Is Anthony Weiner completely delusional? Or is he out of his flipping, sex-crazed gourd? Whatever big-busted fantasies crawl around the ex-congressman’s delirious noggin, la Weiner made his next goal as clear as the skin of the wholesome college students he craved: He relishes being Mayor Weiner. Please, shut up this clown. These days, the genitally obsessed Weiner has nothing much to do, except sit in his lavish Manhattan apartment and — the inhumanity! — change the poopy diapers of his 16-month-old son, Jordan. Worse, Weiner is living under a kind of house arrest, sentenced to take extreme grief

Remember little Anthony Freemont, played by cute little Billy Mumy, in one of the "Twilight Zone´s" most famous episodes? In the opening sequence Rod Serling informs us: "A monster had arrived in the village. Just by using his mind, he took away the automobiles, the electricity, the machines -- because they displeased him -- and he moved an entire community back into the dark ages -- just by using his mind. . . . and the people there have to smile. They have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because once displeased, the monster can wish them into a cornfield

Seven hundred Military Special Operations professionals. And one insistent and very angry Mom. This is becoming a deadly combination for the political game players in the Obama Administration. Sean Smith, the young State Department computer wizard who was brutally murdered that September night in Benghazi, was Pat Smith’s only child. Let’s say that again. Sean Smith was Mrs. Smith’s only child. To listen to her recent radio interview with another Sean… Sean Hannity… is to have the heart break.

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends. Winters was a pioneer of improvisational standup comedy, with an exceptional gift for mimicry, a grab bag of eccentric personalities and a bottomless reservoir of creative energy.
