Bernanke's Folly

| Psst, remember this story? The one where a panicked Ben Bernanke and his cronies at the Federal Reserve -- seeing more devastation in the jobs and housing markets -- say they will continue to disguise the failure of Obama-Reid-Pelosi-Dodd-Frank socialism by flooding Wall Street with even more dollars? Well that's not exactly verbatim, but lost in the news shuffle of embassies being attacked while Marines are un-armed -- and Mitt's video of truth about 47% -- was Bernanke's latest announcement of quantitative easing by the Fed (QE 3).

QE4 is already being mentioned to render it acceptable. There will be no end of QE's until the U.S. is the People's Republic. Apparent from the start, that is Obama's goal, and indeed, the producers recognized this in 2008 and pulled back.

Get rid of Obama, get rid of Bernanke. The two biggest tax raisers (one fiscal, the other through debasement) in our countries history! Given the incredible damage these two have already done, it's a testament to the American people that this country is not further down than it is. Since a sitting president's second term is almost always worse than their first, I shudder to imagine the damage these two can do if they get returned to office (Bernanke is up for reappointment in early 2014).

As most have already heard, the brothers Tsarnaev lived on the taxpayer dole before bombing the Boston Marathon. (snip) Allah promises Muslims the world. He does not promise them a tiny sum of wealth which has been redistributed by infidel magistrates. So it should be unsurprising that such resentment among Muslims manifests itself in jihad. Moreover, such Muslims do not find any shame in collecting welfare, but find your payment of welfare to be a shame upon you. It is entirely normal in terms of Islamic jurisprudence and history that wealth is redistributed from non-Muslims to Muslims

When is a tax not a tax? Why, when it promotes "fairness," when it creates a "level playing field," when it enjoys "bipartisan support." So is everybody on board with the Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013, which will force everyone who buys on the Internet to pay sales tax? Here's what the New York Times has to say: "Lawmakers from both parties are poised to steamroll opponents and greatly broaden the imposition of sales taxes on the Internet." Uh oh, "steamroll." That's pretty harsh language, coming from the NY Times.

The Obama administration and liberal policies look awfully bad in the face of the facts emerging about the Tsarnaev family´s insertion into the United States. The Boston Herald yesterday broke the story of the family having received welfare, after inquiries with the state government (snip)You can tell they are worried because Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick yesterday clamped down on further release of information on the Tsarnaevs´ helping themselves to money other people had to pay taxes for.

On Friday´s Real Time program on HBO, Bill Maher hosted an interview with Brian Levin, the director of the Center for Study of Hate and Extremism. It became clear within thirty seconds that Levin was not attending the religious parity party he had expected. Catherine the Great once demanded of her favorite commander, Aleksandr V. Suvorov, why he had allowed defeated enemy soldiers to escape. "I wanted to kill or capture every last one," he admitted, "but pity stayed my hand." "You are not known for pity toward my enemies," the Empress replied. "It was a pity that I had no fresh cavalry at hand," Suvorov explained. The story may be apocryphal, but it illustrates Suvorov´s highly successful principle perfectly: never fight the same men twice

(snip)After ten years of an extraordinary partisan offensive, in which the Democratic divisions opened with a furious artillery barrage that damned everything conservative and Republican to liberal hell, and rolled over Republicans in two pitch-perfect elections, electing the nation´s first black president and passing universal health care -- well, the offensive is over.

It comes as no surprise to those who were paying attention that there was voter fraud to launch Obama into the Oval Office. During the 2008 election cycle, the evidence for voter fraud was abundant, but the majority of Americans did not see the evidence due to the typical mainstream media blackout on any news item that doesn´t advance the Statist / Liberalism agenda. The evidence of voter fraud in the 2012 election is equally available and occurred in various states, but again, few heard the evidence from mainstream media.

For years, weapons scopes supplied to the Army by a company called Trijicon ("Brilliant Arming SolutionsTM") to have carried serial numbers ending in JNB:12 and 2COR4:6. To the biblically untutored, they appeared to be just a continuation of an alphanumeric sequence. But to people familiar with the Bible and citations therefrom, these sequences signify Bible verses. When someone in the Army took notice, possibly following an irate complaint from an atheist clued in by a comrade, a small version of hell broke loose.

Wouldn´t it be great if you could get a police car to accompany you for "traffic control" when you drive somewhere? It would be sort of like the president, except for the bulletproof limo and Secret Service. Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, despite lacking any public office, has enjoyed such convenience, courtesy of his son Mustapha, whose arrangements to drive a police car for escorting his father´s "unofficial motorcade" are currently under investigation by a police agency in Illinois

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be tried by a military commission at Guantanamo Bay rather than in U.S. federal court on charges related to the Boston Marathon bombing. Naturalized American citizenship obtained by fraud is revocable. There is Supreme Court precedent for revoking naturalized citizenship based on swearing a false oath of allegiance. See Knauer v. United States (1946); Perez v. Brownell ("Of course, naturalization unlawfully procured can be set aside."); and Fedorenko v. United States.

Are you fed up with the antiseptic slogan, "If you see something, say something?" The authorities expect us to report suspicious backpacks, but stay silent as the tomb about the nature of the men who put them there. We´re instructed to speak up about a bloodied man´s movement under a boat tarp, but to shut up about the ideological movement that drove him to commit his carnage. Well, as it happens, I´ve seen quite a lot of things over the last few years that I´d like to say something about -- enough things to break a heart and to kill a country

We´ve heard a lot of speculation about Tamerlan Tsarnaev as the reason Dzhokhar went bad, but maybe there were other influences, as well. Steve Urbon, a columnist for the local newspapers where Dzhokhar went to college, has broken the story of his academic path toward obsession with Chechnya. Naturally enough, it started in high school, at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Urbon writes in SouthCoastToday, a paper serving the New Bedford area: It was a perfectly logical thing to do. English teacher Steve Matteo at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School put his Chechen-born student in

President Obama ended his address to the largest abortion provider in the U.S., Planned Parenthood, by saying, "God bless you." "As long as we´ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we´ve got to fight to protect a woman´s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you´ve also got a president who´s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," said Obama. "Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you."

Two unnamed U.S. officials have told the Associated Press that the surviving suspect in the Boston bombings was unarmed when police captured him hiding inside a boat in a neighborhood back yard. The report contradicts the Boston police department´s own account of Dzhokar Tsarnaev´s capture on Friday - after commissioner Ed Davies described a firefight between him and officers before the terror suspect was captured. The New York Times also said an M4 rifle had been found on the boat - another claim contradicted by the latest revelations. Officers had originally said they had exchanged gunfire

The new logo for the University of Connecticut’s sports teams is a terrifying husky dog that calls to mind images of sexual assault, says one student. The new logo was unveiled last week, receiving mixed-to-negative reviews from UConn fans who preferred the older, cuter husky dog. But one student went much further, criticizing the new, meaner logo for being a pro-rape symbol. In an open letter to UC President Susan Herbst, self-described feminist student Carolyn Luby wrote that the redesigned team logo will intimidate women and empower rape culture. UConn basketball coach Geno Auriemma said the logo

During an April 24 address to the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), Attorney General Eric Holder told the crowd that “creating a pathway to earned citizenship” is a critical element of any comprehensive immigration reform plan. He said that establishing legal status for the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants is a “matter of civil and human rights.” “Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential,” Holder said to applause. “The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented by creating a mechanism for

Since the Boston bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was captured, there’s been quite a debate over his Miranda rights and how to treat him — given that he’s a United States citizen. An Associated Press report out this morning is sure to add fuel to the fire. As soon as he was read his Miranda rights, it says, Tsarnaev stopped talking. The report notes that Tsarnaev was read his rights 16 hours after his interrogation had began. Then, he fell silent: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev immediately stopped talking after a magistrate judge and a representative from the U.S. Attorney’s office entered his

Tuesday morning, a peculiar announcement trickled out of the White House press office: President Barack Obama would be holding a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston bombings. At the White House. By himself. No press or other intruders allowed. That Obama assumed Americans would want an iconic photo of him privately mourning the victims of the bombings was emblematic of a kind of hubris that has enveloped the president and his White House as the president commences his second term.

Progressive publication Mother Jones has revealed yet another secretly-recorded video of a Republican saying something newsworthy. This time, it’s of GOP pollster and frequent Fox News analyst Frank Luntz remarking that Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and other right-wing talk radio hosts are “problematic” for the Republican Party’s efforts to reach out to other demographics and to fight the polarization of politics. The video was recorded on an iPhone while Luntz delivered a College Republicans-sponsored speech at the University of Pennsylvania earlier this week. Most of his speech reportedly consisted of his thoughts on how words matter — for

Are you alarmed by the counterterrorism failures increasingly evident as we learn more about the Boston terror attack? Don’t be. Former CIA director Michael Hayden has helpfully explained, “This tragedy is the new normal.” Are you surprised that a whole city was ordered to “shelter in place” as one “knockoff jihadi,” in Vice President Biden’s term, roamed the streets? Don’t be. It’s the new normal. Are you shocked by the Obama administration’s dissembling in response to terror attacks in Benghazi? Don’t be naïve. It’s the new normal. Are you worried that the president proclaims “red lines” to deter dictators

As Obamacare was winding its way through the Senate in 2009, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) slipped in an amendment requiring that members of Congress, and their staff, enroll in Obamacare’s health insurance exchanges. The idea was simple: that if Congress was going to impose Obamacare upon the country, it should have to experience what it is imposing firsthand. But now, word comes that Congress is quietly seeking to rescind that provision of the law, because members fear that staffers who face higher insurance costs will leave the Hill. The news has sparked outrage

In retrospect, George W. Bush’s legacy doesn’t look as bad as it did when he left office. It looks worse. I join the nation in congratulating Bush on the opening of his presidential library in Dallas. Like many people, I find it much easier to honor, respect and even like the man — now that he’s no longer in the White House. But anyone tempted to get sentimental should remember the actual record of the man who called himself The Decider. Begin with the indelible stain that one of his worst decisions left on our country’s honor: torture.
