| In remarks this morning to the Clinton Global Initiative, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposed a radical idea: a global tax on elites around the world."One of the issues that I have been preaching about around the world is collecting taxes in an equitable manner, especially from the elites in every country," Clinton said to laughter from the audience. "You know I’m out of American politics, but – (applause) – it is a fact that around the world, the elites of every country are making money." Clinton continued her rift on the rich. "There are rich people everywhere.

Another footnote of failed ideas that will never see the light of day. Laughter was, indeed, the proper response. And this is the Secretary of State??

Most of the elites are corrupt commie bastids who aren't about to cough up a dime.We hear about he Koch Brothers all the time but not Apple who capitalizes on cheap labor like no other company can even come close to.Why isn't there a sur-tax on Apple, especially in Cal,where they're perpetually broke.

At some point, some Democrat will finally come out and say what their true agenda is: World Socialism. It's only a matter of time before one of them lets the mask slip and spills the beans.
And I'm sure a 2nd Obama term would embolden many of them to do just that.

She means you. To about 80% of the world you are the elite. Car, nice house, reliable electricity, clean water, abundant food.
You may think you are average, not so.
Besides "elite" is just a word, you won't define it, others will.
And "Global taxation" is two words meaning people you don't elect will be able to take anything you have.

"You know, I'm, you know, lying when I preface a sentence with - ya know..." Have another scotch, Hillary, and maybe when you are drunk enough you'll convince yourself that the world really is waiting breathlessly for your "preaching" advice. And then you can move on to kidding yourself that you really are relevant & that a global tax will FINALLY bring you the love & respect that not even your husband will give you - who after all, ya know, knows you best.

Please remember that any "surtax" on any company or corporation will not be paid by the company - it will be passed on to the consumer. This is why I laugh when I hear our Congressrats saying businesses should pay more in taxes. That argument is nothing but a way to hide the tax from the consumer by making them believe those evil corporations are paying taxes ...

Hillary Rodham was a disciple of Saul Alinsky while she was still in college.
Hillary Clinton’s political methods were founded on the theories of a 1960s radical about whom she wrote her college thesis in 1969. It may take a village to raise a child, but Clinton’s college thesis seems to say that the village politicos need an enemy to mobilize against.
She titled the paper, written to fulfill her Bachelor of Arts degree at Wellesley College, “There is Only the Fight.” It praises the work of radical activist Saul Alinsky, a man who epitomized a self-interested no-holds barred campaign style that Hillary has emulated in later years. Clinton’s savvy-but-ruthless politics, including the “politics of personal destruction” she so often condemns but more often practices, seem rooted in Alinsky’s famous rules for radicals.
Hillary’s Thesis: The Village Needs an Enemy By: Amanda Carpenter 3/9/2007 03 1 AM http://www.humanevents.com/2007/03/09/hillarys-thesis-the-village-needs-an-enemy/
This Human Events article is well worth a side trip with Hillary in the news, especially re 2016. She has now found another "enemy" to go after, the world's rich.

#13 cont'd.
The Human Events article goes on to say:
Mobilizations of communities, labeling adversaries as enemies and working through proxies are all Clinton trademarks. She is not a Saul Alinsky 1960s radical, but she has adapted and improvised his radical tactics to her own advantage.
From another article:
Alinsky's crowning achievement was his recruitment of a young high school student named Hillary Rodham. She met Alinsky through a radical church group. Hillary wrote an analysis of Alinsky's methods for her senior thesis at Wellesley College. They remained friends until Alinsky's death in 1972.
Alinsky tried to hire Hillary as a community organizer, but she chose instead to attend Yale Law School. Nonetheless, Alinsky's network continued guiding Hillary's career.

She is more of a radical than even Obama, and that's saying something.

How did the rich get rich without contributing to their communities? They must have produced something other people wanted because people exchanged their money to get it. Without the rich elite, all resources and power would be in the state. We would have a socialist state, and the only elite would be Obama and Hillary Clinton.

If this were a serious proposal, she would have said she would be first in line to pay her taxes, as she is obviously an elite, according to my definition. But like Obama, these socialists mean "other people" when they talk this way. they would remain above it all, don'cha know.

Project Vote Deputy Director Amy Busefink is busy lobbying the Texas legislature on election-integrity issues — trying to stop Texas from checking to see if Texas voters are registered in multiple states. She recently organized a letter of various left-wing groups trying to stop legislation before the Texas House Elections Committee. Members of the Texas legislature shouldn’t take Busefink seriously — she has a history of participating in voter fraud. Busefink sent a letter on April 8, 2013, to the Texas House Elections Committee asking them to block a law that would require Texas to check to see

A battle raged this week on Wikipedia about the site’s article on disgraced abortion doctor and accused murderer Kermit Gosnell, after a Wikipedia editor suggested that the entire article should simply be deleted outright. Issues with the page, which was initially fraught with formatting errors, were flagged by the Wikipedia community as early as February 2011. A single Wikipedia editor later flagged the piece to allow community members to discuss whether the page, which primarily focuses on the allegations of murder and malpractice Gosnell faces, should be deleted. The editor argued that

Texas authorities are expanding the focus of an ongoing investigation into the murders of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia in March and Mark Hasse, a prosecutor in McLelland´s office who was fatally shot two months earlier. On Friday, CBS News learned authorities executed a search warrant at the home of former Kaufman County justice of the peace Eric Williams. Williams was prosecuted and convicted of theft last year by the district attorney´s office and lost his position and license to practice law. Williams has denied any role in the murders.

Several 2016 presidential campaigns are already up and running — some more quietly than others — and Republicans hoping to be their party’s nominee are preparing for a primary that could potentially bear little resemblance to those of 2012 and 2008. As the party grapples with a shifting electorate, it is divided over differences on gay marriage, immigration reform, national security policy and even guns — gaps that could only widen by 2015, when campaigns will be in full swing. Potential candidates are busy searching for safe corners on these contentious issues and are either acknowledging the profound shifts,

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Of course, to describe newborn children in their boundless possibilities and wonder would be to acknowledge, foremost, their humanity. That is why, instead, abortion enthusiasts must grope for words

The Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act of 2013, as proposed by Republican senators Pat Toomey and Mark Kirk and Democrats Joe Manchin and Charles Schumer, deals partly in symbolism. It “reaffirms,” for instance, an existing ban on government firearms registries, and establishes Washington’s umpteenth blue-ribbon panel — the National Commission on Mass Violence — to “study the availability and nature of firearms, including the means of acquiring firearms, issues relating to mental health, and all positive and negative impacts of the availability and nature of firearms on incidents of mass violence.”

Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell is accused of killing newborn babies at his filthy clinic, and it was apparently very lucrative work. Gosnell allegedly "snipped" the spinal cords of seven newborns after performing illegal late-term abortions. Prosecutors believe he killed many other fetuses in their third-trimester and destroyed related records. Gosnell is also accused of running an absolutely filthy clinic — known as the Women´s Medical Society — that had untrained staff give at least one patient a fatal dose of the painkiller Demerol.

A veterans organization in a New York town is fighting for its right to fly a patriotic flag after the city council refused to let the group display the flag, calling it a symbol of the Tea Party with right-wing connotations. The United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association replaced a tattered American flag at the New Rochelle Armory, flying the Gadsden flag underneath it. The bright yellow “Don’t Tread On Me” flag has been used by the Navy and Marine Corps since 1775. When a city council member complained to the city manager that he found the flag offensive,

As we once again face the specter of illegal alien amnesty, and the permanent Democratic majority it will guarantee, it is critical to understand how the Left plays. They are unethical to the core, but we are so frequently deluded by their tactical use of language and emotion, that we are unequipped to deal with them effectively. The result: they win. This cannot happen again, unless we are all willing to start calling Obama “President for Life,” and Democrats, the “Commissars.”Introduction Changes in public perception happen gradually. This is a natural human survival strategy that mistrusts the unfamiliar.

The biggest headline out of Augusta so far is Chinese wunderkind Guan Tianlang who, at 14, was not only was the youngest golfer ever to compete in the Masters, but also finished his round 1-over-73, finishing ahead of last year’s champ and hovercraft pilot Bubba Watson. Better enjoy it while it lasts: The rails of China’s high-speed trains are littered with the careers of ex-athletes who earn international glory and are summarily thrown aside after their playing days are over. Even more glaring than a score that bested Arnold Palmer’s and Jack Nicklaus’s first-ever rounds

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.

Proof positive that we’ve reached a new phase of Gosnell damage control. Plan A: Ignore, ignore, ignore. Plan B: If Plan A becomes impossible, use Gosnell as some sort of exception that proves the rule about why, counterintuitively, America needs easier access to abortion.(Snip for graphic)“Not a health facility” but something underground, not in any way similar to a Planned Parenthood clinic. If anything, the way to prevent future Gosnells is to have more clinics so that babies’ necks can be snipped earlier during gestation in a cleaner, safer environment. Be ready for this spin

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends. Winters was a pioneer of improvisational standup comedy, with an exceptional gift for mimicry, a grab bag of eccentric personalities and a bottomless reservoir of creative energy.

Our older son Nate, soon to be 10 years old, is a fourth grader at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Our younger son, Ben, age six, was murdered in his first-grade classroom on December 14th.
