Did anyone ask the families? They may prefer he keep his original travel plans. His would be the last mug I would want to see at my son's funeral, I can tell you that.

I knew he was going to go stick his big head at the memorial/funeral services for the vitims of the muslim shooter. He has no business being part of the Ft.Hood family. His weakness as president has energized and emboldened the world villans putting our service people more at risk. He using all this as a photo op,not surprisingly.
Right now he's trying to use taxpayer money to buy off the Taliban when experts are saying it won't work. If fact they could use the money to buy weapons to kill our guys.

In the 'Corporate World' D & D used to stand for 'Delegate and Disappear'. With Zippy it stands for 'Delay and Dither'.
Assclown!

We shouldn't be able to have it both ways, criticizing him for being callous toward our troops and then criticizing him for showing up at memorial services. However, Obama has invited this dual critique because he initially has seemed so unfeeling and when people noticed, he has overreacted with well-publicized midnight visits to Dover and Purple Hearts at Walter Reed. Now, he's going to the memorial service. All these things would be normal for a US president to quietly do, but nothing about Barack Obama is normal, so he calls the photographers.

Is he allergic to the wallpaper in the White House or something? Or just afraid of ghosts?

Remember that for Dems and for some segments of the black community funerals are very political and are the appropriate time for emotionalism. I recall then Governor Bush being harshly criticized for not attending the funeral of that Texas man who was dragged to death by the 2 yahoos in a pick-up. The black community thought his not being there was an insult. I heard about it even up here in Ohio from a black guy.

BS. This is just in case the health care thing passes so he can write B-a-r-a-c-k H-u-s-s-e-i-n O-b-a-m-a, one letter at a time, each letter with a different pen.
When presidents have done this in the past, they have had someone hand them the pens so it's more gracefully accomplished and less excruciating to watch. Note, however, that Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm does not share the stage with anyone.

If my son or daughter was murdered at Ft. Hood, I would have a private service before I would let that heartless Obama grace any memorial service. He is without conscience, decency or empathy.

I certainly hope they don't let him speak at the memorial service. I can't imagine what he could say that would ease the families' pain...and I can imagine a lot that he might say that would be painful to hear.

FTA - This must be a difficult time for him - and also FTA - Obama has led the United States in mourning - kindly allow me to correct both misnomers. It is a most difficult time for the majority of the American citizenry who care about its military personnel; and Obama has shown no leadership in this latest terrorist attack on United States soil. Why should he not change the schedule - his appearance at the memorial service is unnecessary and unwanted in light of his remarks on Thursday - but changing is his motto - anything to inconvenience any one at any time for his narcissistic purposes...

Afraid to miss the photo op at the memorial service. Madam Queen has a new outfit and is ready to hug and hug and hug and hug and ..... ("Barack, how do I know which camera is on me?")
