| As voters in several states go to the polls today, a new Fabrizio McLaughlin national poll of likely voters finds treacherous ground for incumbents. 59% of voters feel the nation has “gotten off on the wrong track.” (Only 31% felt the country was heading in the right direction.) The GOP leads the generic ballot test for both House and Senate by seven points (42-35 in both)

I think people are figuring out "Bush's failed policies' wern't so bad afterall when compared to the scortched earth Obama policies.Bush had his faults and perfection was always the measuring stick when evaluating his policies but he stood up for and defended his country.People wanted some tinkering to fix the problems in healthcare not a government takeover with bureaucrats making life and death decisions. The Obama experiment has been a failure and people want their country back. The Obama backlash hasn't reached critical mass yet but it's headed that way. Obama has yet another "bold plan" to fix the economy. Yeah, that first one worked so well we need another one.
Two years ago this country was fine,it can fix itself if the obsessive compulsive disorder dims would get out of the way.
60% wrong track is a huge number despite the fluff dinosaur media coverage of Obama.

None of these numbers will result in votes against socialism, and for new and genuine Conservatives unless the ballot boxes are kept sacred.
Hugh Hewitt said it best, "If It's Not Close They Can't Cheat."

Yet another useless poll question -- in T-Jeff's phrase, a ''thing of wax'' that, along with the answers to it, can be squished and kneaded to mean whatever anyone wants it to mean.
Heaven forfend a pollster should ask ''Is the country moving too far to the left?'' or "Is the country not moving far enough to the left?''
